| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Some of the things that sat well with me are the majority of the character designs; Kouta, Merume, Kanji and Kaa in particular. To me, they look to be inspired by Ao no Exorcist with Merume and Kaa's pointed teeth reminding me of Mephisto. I also liked the abilities. Kanji's Devil Foot reminded me of Lenalee's Dark Boots (D Gray Man) (and by extension Jackie's Dirty Boots -_-" [Bleach]) and Kouta's Devil Hands reminds me of Allen's early on Innocence (D Gray Man). The pacing of the story and the cliffhanger ending were also well done. The one thing I didn't like though was Misora's character design. She looks too plain in comparison to the others. The pigtails, the eyes, the bust, etc. All too common. And she seems like she may get annoying later on. But it's the first chapter and it's good to keep an open mind. All in all, a good chapter. |
| I love Misora and Kouta, my likeable heroiens ^^ I wonder if Misora is dead if she was capable of seeing that battle? Anyway I can't wait for chapter 2 :D It reminds me of Mirai Nikki with the fact that Kouta now has to kill more 12 numbers in order to survive. Did I mention I love his player? She looks like a chibi-devil :> |

I meant to say that they are similar in a way that they are already dead and have to win a specific game wherein you get to live once again. But it's only just that one similarity though. |

It's a key point in the plot of both series though. So, good find. |
