| He's vulgar, amoral, rude and voltaile. He constantly gives disturbing comments, kills people without any mercy. He wanted to rape integra, kill her and rape once again. Why do we like Jan? Well, in my case, I have not any idea. Normally, I donno like such a foul-mouthed characters, dressed in a track suit and pierced wherever it's possible ( ;) ), however, the character of Jan unexpectedly caught my attention. I think he's really far away from the gloomy, cold, emotionless stereotype of a fictional vampire (like Alucard for example), which is IMO very unique.He's like a vampire with hyperactivity disorder xD.Uh, and I like his talkativeness towards Luke. |

I also think its because you don't see many other characters in any other animes like him(and if you do tell me). He's something uniquely Hellsing. He swears whenever possible, he slaughters and eats humanbeings without regret or restrant, he doesn't give a shit if he dies, and he is the reason I watched the second OVA twice. Not to mention he's really funny. |

| Yup, guess that the uniqueness of his sick personality makes him... LOL... so adorable xD? Honestly what's not to like about all that? Well, I write on one of the hellsing forums and some time ago I noticed that I'm actually one of very few who likes Jan. Everybody else hate him because of his behaviour, way of thinking and vulgarity, so I guess our opinion is also quite unique ;). |
