| I just finished Aria the Animation and I have to say, I wasn't all that impressed. It was decent, but I just thought it was K-ON minus the cake and plus the excellent music and the environment. Three stereotypical girls faffing about really got tiresome towards the end. Right, so here's the thing. Should I just skip Natural and head straight to Origination since that's the one that's rated the highest? Or are all three just more of the same? Keep in mind I thoroughly enjoyed Haibane Renmei, Natsume Yuujinchou and the like (not K-ON though, god that was terrible). Thanks :) |
| Either watch it in its entirety or not at all. The reason Origination is highest is because the people who enjoyed it stuck around to rate it while the people who didn't dropped it. Also because you need to have stuck with it to care about the characters. |

Also because you need to have stuck with it to care about the characters. Definitely don't skip ahead, I don't see why you would do that with any series. Even though it is a very light slice of life, there are things that happen that are brought up in future episodes, or episodes with some character developement. And don't expect it to have the same feeling as say Natsume Yujinchou or Mushishi. Because this is basically just about a couple of girls rowing boats, while the story does get a little deeper later as it deals with their futures and ends on a good note. If you say it is decent then I say stick it out, but if it's extrememely boreing to you or you hate the characters then just put it on hold or drop it. |
