We already saw that they're not averse to having Gundams combine in this series. See: The Thrones Big Freaking Mecha Cannon that can only activate when all three suits combine.

Now, I know this seems out of left field but then you consider this:

http://aeug.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html#3505399770667659046

Of particular note is this line right here....

- "This time, the MS themes will be combining, transforming, and linking"... it seems they'll pull off a 4 MS combiner?

Gunota is usually pretty accurate. So are we looking at the first Sentai-esque gattai Gundam? ( Sentai = the original, Japanese version of Power Rangers. If you didn't know that, smack yourself.)

Before you dismiss this idea out of hand, let's all remember that Seravee is essentially a giant Gundam head. I honestly thought they would just link up to fire a big cannon but then I saw Tieria's new Gundam and now suddenly I'm thinking Super Gundam Megazord thing. LMAO :D

Combining, with O-Riser, GN-arms and weapon platforms
Transforming and linking Seravee's transformation by connecting to big backpack and becoming a huge fatter-than-virtue NadleehMkII

Even thinking about "gundams combining together" is ridiculous idea out of left field.

....How? They combined with all that stuff LAST season. It wouldn't even be mention-worthy for the new season if it weren't something new.

All things considered, its not out of left field. Its just something you don't want to think about 'cause you know it would look kinda silly. :D

Combining with GN ARms is more of "docking". O-Riser, on other hand, becomes into parts of 00 Gundam(sword-shields, additional propulsion system.), thus its more of linking.

Nadleeh, on other hand, would be combining with a backpack, size of gundam and transforming.

Not to mention that their weapons can combine, link and transform.

...I dunno. Sousei no Awuarion has corrupted me into thinking all giant mecha gattais involve about 4 seconds of orgasm and I don't think 4 guys should be doing that together. Especially not when it seem some of them are gay for each other...

But on a more serious note, Seravee having a face that big should hint you on that maybe He's the head of something huge. Maybe a Destroy Gundam MkII T_T.

You'd think people on an anime site would say Sentai and not Power Rangers...

Anyway, Sentai isn't the only thing that has gattai mecha. There are a lot of anime that do that too. (See: GaoGaiGar, Dancougar, Go Lion, etc...) I think the thing is, it would get a little too super robot for a series that's been Real Robot for 29 of 50-52 episodes.

I hope they don't combine, but that's just me. If they managed to do it without it looking too ridiculous and it fit with the feel of the series thus far, I could accept it. They'd have to be very careful about how they'd go about doing something like this though.

As for the face on the back of the Seravee, I thought when I first saw it that it served some other purpose, such as a second transformation or mode similar to how Virtue contained the Nadleeh (or essentially WAS Nadleeh with extra armor if you want to be technical). I don't know, we'll see what happens, but the series hasn't failed to impress so far.

BTW, it's not a big deal or anything, but just because some people on this site don't use the words "Sentai" or "Gattai" to refer to "Power Rangers" or "Combine" doesn't mean they don't know what those words mean. I choose not to use such words because if I'm going to have a discussion in English, I'll just use English words and not the "Elitist Otaku Speak" as I call it which is a mish-mash of English and romanitized (*sarcasm implied*) Japanese. I'm not meaning to say you're elitist if you do such a thing, heck I don't know you in RL, but it seems in most cases people include such words to simply "show off", which usually fails because all it does is make the people who actually know fluent Japanese lawl their arses off at all of us self-proclaimed Otaku who think we know what we're talking about (that and its not showing off if most otaku know what it means anyway >.>).

Lulz, sorry, I couldn't help myself. Such thing just annoy me sometimes. Please don't take it personally, just ignore me and continue.

ya, I always call it Power Rangers since almost every english speaking person knows the show by that name. Calling it anything else doesn't get the point across unless your talking to a picky Otakus that knows what it means.

Only reading the topic, all I can say is "God, I hope not." Though I would like to imagine Seravee combining w/ the support mechs, like O Riser & the GN Arms. Hell, you gotta think that that big @$$ head is there for SOME reason.

Man I don't know from elitist otaku speak...you're not going to see me call Japanese "Nihon". Gattai was just a personal choice--I don't really care if someone uses that or not. And I don't pepper my speech regularly with little Japanese phrases or whatever. But I do try not to "Americanize" too much (though I'm going to continue calling "Kallen" Karen and "FLEIJA" Freya), but Sentai doesn't really = Power Rangers, so I call it Sentai.

Hell, you gotta think that that big @$$ head is there for SOME reason.

That's what I was thinking too.

here i come to shed some light in this dark thread. the fact that seravee has a gigantic head created speculations of a possible combiner. that said it is not wise for sunrise to ever make that same mistake. i am a fan of this combiner stuff, but gigantic, no really gigantic robots doesn't bode well with gundams. the past series had combiners but it formed a gundam itself(v,78,zeta..etc..) the end result if they happen to combine all four is gonna be like gundam destroy. a gundam that was so poorly designed that it took away my eyes from seed destiny.

so the possibility of a combination other than the GN arms is slim to none.

I wonder if Seravee has another Gundam inside it like how Nadleeh was inside Virtue...

Or if it combines with some sort of backpack to become a bigger-than-virtue NaddleehMkII...

If they combine, it would be so out of place...but infinitely awesome. Personally, I hope it doesn't happen, since Gundam is a Real-type mecha show and combiners are generally Supers, but it would still be pretty cool.

In the world of "Super Robot Wars", Gundams are considered as Real Robots and they don't combine. Real Robots excel in agility, while lacking in armor. The ones that combine are Super Robots which excel in heavy armor, but are usually sluggish in terms of agility.

UC had one(?) Combo-gundam and anyone who worked on UC is embarassed of it ever since. So IMO - combining with other gundams will never....NEVER....NEVER...happen, but combining with backpacks similar to GN-arms (O-Riser, GN-Archer, etc) is possible.

UC had one double zeta, rx-78 had core packs and they seperate. who cares if they combine as long as they are awesome im up for it. o-raizer is not the first to seriously affect a gundam via combination, in the manga they had sefer and it combined with raziel. oh there's gonna be at least two support unit this season, o-raizer and the ******! that'll probably gonna be piloted by ***** and combine with *****.

first it's Kamen Rider(which didn't have combining robots before, but now "somewhat" have)...now it's Gundam?

toys! toys! are to blame....

Core packs are not other Gundams. There attachments. So far everything we've seen up to this point on 00 is leaning towards attachment combinations and not Gundam Combinations. Tiera's suit might combine into something but I doubt it would be with another Gundam. If they make all of them form a bug suit this shows ratings are gonna drop like theres no tomorrow....at least for the non Japanese fans.

the one that started this combining gundams is that big head on the back of seravee
and even now that it turns out that its back is a complete new gundam the big face is still shown and still left the impression "the gundams will combine maybe"

but for me its still ok if they will combine the gundams to form a super robot well they need it because they are fighting against the whole world
