Since CR is streaming Da Capo III, will this be your first introduce to the Da Capo franchise?

I've been told that Da Capo III can be watched as on a stand-alone basis without seeing the anime based on the first two visual novels but you'd miss some references.

I plan on eventually to watch it on Crunchyroll. I have other series that I am watching in Winter so I don't want to overload myself and I am hoping CR gets the previous anime soon-ish. But I am wondering if anybody is thinking of taking the plunge and watching Da Capo III as their first introduction to the Da Capo franchise.

Nope saw the original and its second season and the Second and its second season. SO I am a vet for this anime series.

Ye, I'm a veteran of this series also. Seen every episode including the OVAs. I'm hoping Season III will go well.

I watched bits and pieces of DC I & II all over the place but I've played the VNs fully, so in a way, this will be my first time watching DC from start to end.

And I do agree that DC III can be a standalone introduction, cause I believe there will be no major throwbacks to the previous series.

That's true. Almost all the characters are new and unrelated to the previous cast as far as I know.

I started Da Capo 3 weeks ago just for Da Capo III. I've just finished Da Capo II season and I plan on watch watching Da Capo III as it airs. Da Capo III episode 0 was nostalgic.

It's not necessary but you should watch the D.C.1 and D.C.2, at least you should know about the first two series's characters because there will be a little reference to them.

Nope. I played the first two visual novels as well as a couple of the fandiscs. I'd honestly rather play the VN of this one as well, but it isn't in English yet.

So this is hardly my first introduction to the series, but it will be the first anime of the franchise that I watch.

I've not played/watched any Da Capo. If I decide to watch this, it will be the first I have seen of the show. I'm trying to decide whether I should bother, considering I have not seen the previous shows. I don't want to feel as though I am missing out on something by watching this without seeing the previous ones. I'll probably check it out, though.
