| Amazing Episode! This series manage to balance comedy and action perfectly! The scene where they had to cut the wired really got me nervous. It's surprising how such an old series can be so god. |
| I like that it plays with cliches by having the visiting American not be Caucasian, but if they were going to do that they might as well have gone and made her skin darker than the usual snowy, which would also be consistent with her stated Hawaiian heritage. But since she's sticking around, it obviously wants to make her attractive and Japan has a light-skin beauty standard. In the late '80's you would sometimes get odd, experimental OVAs made by people who really cared what they were doing. In some ways, conditions in the anime industry were never better. Times are harder now which leads to a lot of safe, bland productions. |
| Episode pleasant, appreciates and you immediately notice the hand of director Mamoru Oshii and K Kawai to the music. Very thoughtful and comical at the same time with his side slice of life fabulous! |

| Fantastic episode! Clancy may be my new favorite female anime character! She is the perfect blend of sexy, badass, funny, and smooth. Not to mention Izumo. She's great, and Dat voice... @_@ I always heard this was great, but this may be my n e favorite Oshii show. It's becoming real clear that not much out there can hold a candle to the great 80s OVA series. I may just one shot this in one sitting tonight if I don't fa asleep. And will definitely be picking up the BD from Sentai/Maiden Japan for this! |
