| It's not necessary but it's much better that way. You would know things like sakura three story and Sakura Yoshino's story. Thou rest of the cast would be mostly different. Also prequels are basically only 2 plus one OVA which is an alternative ending for 1st Da Capo. And i guess sequels might be better at overall quality anyway. 1) Da Capo (two seasons) 2) Da Capo 2 (two seasons) |

| I would also recommend watching the previous seasons ... and then rather NOT watch this one. DC 1 & 2 were really great but DC III is mostly plain harem. But there is a slight chance you can enjoy it, if you watch the earlier seasons, because there are a few connections in their storyline and you won't really understand DC II completly without watching the previous ones. |

| i wonder why "suginami" character is always appear in every DC series along with the same voice actor and artwork, and all he's doing is muttering about nonsense does anyone know? is there "suginami" generation in this anime? |
