What was up with that flashback? I feel really bad for her. I like the direction the show is taking but I hope Chiaki goes to help Nodame soon. And that teacher should stop being so violent.

Wow, nobody's there to support Nodame, and Chiaki kinda sucks right now lol. I know he doesn't want her to waste her talent, but is being verbally abusive towards her and telling Nodame what she should do the best thing he could think of? That's not what a friend should do, and for potential future boyfriend, that's even worse :C

Ohm, poor girl, misfortunes just fell on her. Chiaki is really insensitive sometimes, seriously. Hoping Chiaki rushes to her aid.

Geez, Nodame really got bashed in this episode.

The beginning was brutal lol. "You'll never become a teacher." I was afraid Nodame was doomed to be a character that wouldn't ever show genuine emotion (like anger) -- but I thought this "dream bashing" scene would be the one to make her legitimately snap. Yet again, it just ended in her pouting and screaming Gyah. Again, I figured we'd never get to see Nodame genuinely angry.

And then just a few minutes later, it happened. She really did snap. She was utterly and genuinely pissed. Seeing her stand up to the teacher was refreshing. I didn't know she had it in her. I also think her crying to her old teacher was one of the few times she 'genuinely' cried, without comedic effect.
Nodame's depressed state in this episode was sad -- which is good. It's good to see a comedic relief character go through genuine emotions.

This was a really good episode.
But again. The beginning was tastefully brutal. 😂 Not that Chiaki's family is in the wrong -- they're just naturally blunt, and they had a point. Aside from getting along with children and having a youthful 'heart', Nodame hasn't done much to indicate that she'd be a good role model.
But good episode. Enjoyed this one to actually leave a forum post.
