Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What is a Devil Fruit? How do I get one?
A: A Devil Fruit is a mystical fruit found in the world that can give the eater many different and varying kinds of strange and interesting abilities depending on the type and variation of the fruit itself.
In this role-play, it is either possible to obtain one (by choice - after it has approved by an administrator) through the use of your specialization point (Check Q2) or by role-playing in the wild (events, story threads and various other forms of adventure). Please note both the advantages and disadvantages of these choices:
Requesting for a Devil Fruit guarantees that you'll get the fruit that you want (this includes the design of custom fruits that can be made and approved by an administrator), however it will cost you a specialization point. Finding one in the wild makes the fruit that you'll get random (possibly good or bad), but will not cost you a specialization point.
Q2: What are specialization points? How do I attain specialization points?
A: A specialization point is something you can use to exchange for awesome, exclusive powers that wouldn't otherwise be available. Examples of these exclusive powers would be the fourth and final tier of Observation and Armament Haki, King's Haki, obtaining a Devil Fruit of your choice (needs to be approved by an administrator) and so on. Every character starts with 1 and ONLY 1 specialization point at the moment. There are no methods of obtaining additional specialization points for now (still under debate), so please think before deciding to use your point right away!
Q3: What are the different role-play threads out there? Can my character be in multiple threads at once?
A: There are three different types of threads intended for role-play: Story/Event, Crew, and Personal (Character Development / Background History, etc). Please note that islands that have been made but have yet to be used are not classified just yet. When your character is in a story/event thread, he/she can only post in there until he/she leaves. Otherwise, your character can roam around multiple threads as he/she wishes!
Q4: Is there are a marketplace? How do I purchase awesome weapons and useful items that I'll need for my journey?
A: There are certain market places, however whether they are available or not depends on the island. Each island may or may not have a marketplace and will have different things offered in each. An island close the end of the New World (Grand line) will clearly have better items offered than one that is in East Blue. You can purchase these items by arriving on the designated island with the specific marketplace (via role-playing/posting). There will be a shopkeeper (played by an administrator or officer) to greet you. You will have to bargain with him or her until the both of you are satisfied with a price.
Q5: What happens if my character dies? Can I remake my character if I'm bored with him/her?
A: Worry not, fellow roleplayer!
If your character dies, then you can make another character immediately. This character will maintain the same SP as your old character unless an administrator says otherwise.
If you recreate your character and his/her SP falls UNDER 2200, then your new character STARTS WITH 1200 SP.
If you recreate your character and his/her SP falls OVER 2200, then your new character STARTS WITH -1000 SP OF YOUR ORIGINAL CHARACTER'S SP.
Example: I recreate my character with 2500 SP - My new character has 1500 SP.
