Episode One

Several days after the events of Spin Spin Island, Kegan found himself adrift in Paradise. Yet to him it was more like hell than an actual paradise. Between the climate changes and the unnatural weather that sprung from those changes, he was beginning to think he had made a mistake in coming to Paradise. As he lay in the boat gazing up at the sun he started rambling.

"Eh!? You say something!? That's what I thought. Mess with me I'll come up there and kick your little ass right out of the sky." he grumbled. Kegan knew the sun was getting to him he did not need a doctor to tell him that. Which reminded him he needed a doctor for his crew or soon to be crew, he hoped. As he sat there day dreaming about forming a crew his tiny boat started to shift unsteadily. He rose up and looked around only to get one last glimpse of sunshine before the boat was plunged under water by a wave three times the boat's height.

Underwater Kegan could do nothing as the heavy sea currents knocked him back and forth like a tiny rag doll. Fortunately the sea decided to be nice and release him sending him rolling along a white sand beach just as his breath was running thin.

"Phew, I would rather not do that again anytime soon." he cracked a smile as he got up and looked around.

At first it looked like any other beach but to him it was more than that. This beach was the start of his New World adventure and he was planning on raising as much hell as he could. So with a grin lacing his lips he made for the nearest outcropping of trees in hopes of finding some much needed food.

As Kegan walked through the jungle he felt at peace. The birds were in song and the bugs were buzzing about lazily. The excitement was beginning to fade away as a sense of laziness crept up. He began to yawn profusely until he had gotten to the point where he finally just gave up. He figured that the food would not be going anywhere so he found a somewhat comfortable spot to sit down and even before his head hit the tree behind him he was out like a light. As he lay there slumbering the jungle got quiet, as if it knew that something bad was coming. The eerie calm spread until something rustling could be heard from a nearby overgrowth. A bird looked on from his perch not two meters above Kegan too scared to chirp, too scared to even fly away. As the rustling gets louder a figure appears from the undergrowth.

“It looks like we caught another one. These bastards need to leave us the hell alone.” said the young man. He raised his weapon and was about to crush Kegan’s skull when someone else spoke.

“Wait. He is not one of them.” said another voice as a face appeared in a clear portion of the undergrowth.

“How can you be so sure. Here lately the ones that come after us are just as strange looking as this one. How do you know that he is not one of their assassins? I would rather kill him now and regret later than take the chance.”

“I said enough!” The man’s face snared as his anger grew. “Do not test my patience. Now bring the man along. We must speak with him as soon as he wakes.”

With that the young man heeded the elder’s words and scooped Kegan up. His nose wrinkled after smelling Kegan but reluctantly carried him off into the undergrowth. As the three of them disappeared the bird eased. Knowing the danger had passed for the time being; however, during the whole commotion below the bird had yet to realize a snake inching his way closer and closer. When the bird made a move to fly away the snake struck killing the bird instantly with his venom.

"Hmmm what?"

Kegan looked around and his surroundings had completely changed from the deep jungle to several rock formations jutting from the ground.

There were several people wandering around talking to each other while a little further away there were children playing. At first he thought he was dreaming then he realized that even his imagination was not this impressive. He went to get up and realized his was bound very tightly.

"Oi! Oi! Can someone er, explain what is going on here? Why am I tied..." Kegan grunted as a hand gripped the back of his skull and shoved his face into the gravel.

"Hush! You will frighten the villagers if you persist in that useless yelling!" the young man from before whispered in his ear.

"Niba! That is enough. Don't make me kick your ass in front of all the village again." another voice resounded out. The dominance from it could clearly be heard and even though Kegan could tell just from the grip of the hand that this Niba person possessed was strong he quickly released his grip and drug Kegan back up. With a blood trickling from his nose Kegan stared back at the two annoyed. "I am sorry for Niba's rashness he seems to lack manners towards guest."

"Guest? You call this being treated as a guest?" Kegan asked but for some reason that only made the older man smile. A smile that sent chills down his spine.

"Of course you are. We always treat our guest with the uttermost kindness possible. In fact we even have a welcoming ritual for guest." The tone in his voice had went from friendly to just plan creepy in the span of a couple of sentences. Which was a clear sign that whatever was about to happen was not going to bod well for him. "Now lets start the ritual. Take our guest to the pit! It is time for our greeting!" the man yelled and cheers rang out from every corner of the small village. Niba reaches down and grabs Kegan's bonds and begins dragging him towards the edge of the village.

"Oi! Stop! What in the hell is this ritual you're going on about?! Hey!" he screamed but no one was listening.

"Greeting, Greeting, GREETING!" the villagers chanted as they marched through the village. Kegan continued his pleas but to no avail. As they reached the outskirts of the village Kegan was tossed down into a pit about ten feet deep and twenty feet across. As he looked around he noticed several different kind of holes that laced the walls with a variety of doors. Some only had wooden bars where as others were made from solid steel.

"Silence!" the man from before yelled and the crowd that had slowly filled the outer edges of the pit fell quiet. "We come here today for the customary greeting festival." He looked down at Kegan and with bloodlust in his eyes. "You have only two options. Survive and officially join as a honorary member of the tribe or die. In which case if the later happens we'll feed you to our pigs. Deal? Good. NOW BEGIN!"

"Oi! Aren't you even going to untie me?!" Kegan looked up hysterical. He had always managed to get stuck in bad situations but why in the hell did this have to happen?

"Oh but that would take the fun out of it. So no request denied!" he grinned laughing as the villagers started chanting again. Kegan turned in a slow circle watching with horrified eyes as the eyes of all the villagers were oozing bloodlust.

From the corner of his eye he saw a flutter of movement. He looked just in time to see a the wooden gate drop to the ground causing a puff of dirt to rise up and block the entrance to the hole. Kegan felt someone or something watching him. Whatever it was he could tell that he was in trouble and things were getting bleaker with every passing second.

Kegan struggled against the ropes but to no avail. As he looked up he saw a flash of light then something hit him knocking him off of his feet and across the way slamming into the far wall. He coughed and blood laced with spit and bile flooded out and onto the dirt floor. He noticed that a giant spear was piercing his left side.

"What the hell?" He looked back at the hole and watched the man come out. He stood a staggering fifteen foot tall of pure muscle. He wore a tattered garb around his waist and sported long nappy hair that reached to his shoulders. Along with a scruffy beard and mustache that appeared to have insects crawling in it.

"Look! He isn't dead!" someone said and the cheering rose a decibel.

"Aren't you a tough one. This is the first time in a very long time that the greeting ceremony was not an instant death. Please stay alive long enough to satisfy our cravings." The man from before yelled at him laughing at Kegan's pained face. Kegan looked down at the spear and cringed as he went to pull it out. The man looked at him and cocked his head to the side.

"Why you no die?" and in a split second a fist slammed into his arm which broke instantly but to top it all off the blow winded him as well causing him to black out momentarily. After struggling to regain his breath the Kegan looked up. The man looked angry as Kegan smiled at him as if taunting him. The man began pummeling him over and over again until Kegan had passed out from the blood loss.

"Enough! He is dead!" The man from above shouted. The giant of a man stopped and as if just waking up from sleeping he looked around clueless then soundlessly moved back to his cave. "The show is over folks! Go on about your business. Niba! Take care of this trash." he said disgust lacing his voice.

Niba looked down at Kegan and sighed. He dropped into the pit and walked over to Kegan. By now everyone had left and it was just the two of them.

"I thought you could of been some use but apparently not." he went to grab ahold of Kegan's mangled shirt but froze as Kegan coughed.

"Say that again and it'll be your ass that I kick." He said with a smile before reaching up and grasping Niba's arm like a vice. Niba's eyes widened at the strength still left in his arm even after it had been broken. Kegan's grunted one last laugh out before passing out for real this time leaving Niba with two choices. One being to follow his chief's orders or take the chance. In the end he took a chance and carried Kegan off away from the village to a friend that would soon be a strong alley to both of them.

Several days later Kegan woke up with a start. He remembered everything from the arena and it pissed him off. That elder and his little pet were going to get their asses kicked the next time he saw either of them. He looked around and realized it was very dark. The only source of light were several candles spread out over the entire layout of the room but from what he could make out from all the vials that scattered the room was that he did not feel at ease. He went to push himself up but a sharp pain raced up his entire body freezing him in place.

"What in the hell?" he looked down and saw that his body was covered in bandages from head to toe. He strained to raise his arm but something stopped him. That something was a giant bandaged arm.

"Stop that! You're not healed yet." a voice said from the shadows. Kegan, furious at someone telling him what he could not do, started to strain until finally the thick wrapping of bandages cracked off and Kegan latched onto the arm holding him back.

"Don't tell me what to do!" With that said he slowly picked the creature up, whatever it was, and threw it to the opposite side of the room. The something or other had some weight to it so combine that with its newly found momentum the wall the it connected with was shattered letting in the brilliant sunlight through which blinded Kegan instantaneously.

"Damn." he swore under his breath as he tried to get up on unsteady legs; however the something had different plans for Kegan and just as he planted his feet on the ground it came barreling back into the hut and smacked him with its thick cast sending Kegan flying through the opposite wall.

"I told you to stay still dammit! You're injured!" It yelled as Kegan landed several yards away. Then as if realizing what he had done he ran out of the hut just as it collapsed in on itself. "I'm so sorry, sir. Are you alright?"

Kegan jumped up just as the something reached him and planted a punch square in his jaw knocking him up off the ground a couple of feet before he landed on his feet somewhere nearby. After catching his breath and his eyes finally adjusting to the light he got the first glimpse of his opponent.

"What in the" Kegan cut off as he stared down his opponent.

"What? You act like you have never seen a Zombie before? Oh where are my manners. My name is Stump, nice to meet you?" Stump cut off waiting for Kegan's name.

"My name is Kegan. Wait why the sudden change in attitude!?" Kegan roared as the blood began to boil. His temper had always been horrible but for some reason this person made him edgy. Maybe it is the fact that he shouldn't be alive. He thought to himself.

"Good now that the pleasantries are over with. Let us continue."

"Continue what exactly?"

"Why forcing your to lay down of course"

"Huh!? Are you stupid!?"

"That is quite rude. Would you say something so"

"STUMP!" a third voice screamed out causing Stump to stop in midsentence.

"Oh..... shi" he said before he went flying straight into massive tree causing it to break in half like a twig.

"What the!" Kegan turned and before he knew it he was face first into the dirt.

"What in the hell is all of this shit!? I leave the house in your care for a couple of hours and this is the mess I come back to?! You're worthless piece of skin Stump and I ought to of washed you in a salt bath a long time ago" said a crackling voice.

"I'm sorry. He refused to lay down"

"I don't want to hear it. Just put my house back together. Now you." she said right about me. "I want to get a good look at you." she said before grabbing him by the scruff of the hair and dragging him up.

He wrinkled his nose at her pungent odor of herbs and something else he could not decipher.

"Hmmm he seems to be in good condition. Niiket. Niba. Get over here your shining hope is awake." she said before letting loose of his hair and walking towards the bits and pieces of her hut that remained.

"What in the hell is going on and where in the hell am I?!" Kegan roared across the way at the woman walking away from him.

"Oh you don't know? Well let me be the first to introduce you to our little home. Welcome! To Heaven's Jungle. I hope you enjoy your stay." She said cackling to herself.

Episode Two

"Heaven's Jungle?" Kegan said to himself.

"Yes heaven's jungle" the voice came from his right and as he looked he recognized the one called Neba instantly.

"You!" Kegan said about to lung at him whenever another voice made him stop.

"Oh would you two put your fist away. Sheesh. I didn't bring you back from the brink of death just so you could fight each other." It was a woman's voice but he couldn't tell where it was coming from. Then a hand reached out and began to feel his arms.

"Hmmm they are nice and tender. Neba are you sure we can't eat him? The last one did not look nearly as tasty as he does." Kegan sprang back and eyed the newcomer.

"Oh good reflexes. I like that in my meat. Means it is nice and healthy." she said grinning showing razor sharp teeth. Ones you would normally see in a shark.

Kegan did not know what was going on but the thoughts of the chief becoming the meal did not sit well with him.

"Niiket! Would you stop it. We didn't bring him here to eat him, either." Neba said quite perturbed with how bold his sister was.

"Uh.... Mind telling me what is going on?" Kegan asked.

"Well it is a long story but just to make it short and straight to the point. We need your help." Neba said.

"Would you stop it!? We don't need some strangers help. I told you I would do it!" Niiket spoke up snaring at her brother.

"Oh really? You actually have the balls to kill our dad?" Neba countered.

"Well, yes. Yes I would kill papa. If it was for the sake of the island I would." she said a little softer this time kind of torn on the subject.

"Oh right. That's rich." Neba said crossing his arms.

"ENOUGH!" Kegan yelled causing them both to turn towards him. "What in the hell is wrong with you people? First you talk about eating me, then having me kill someone? Well you listen here. I'm not going to do your dirty work and I sure as hell ain't going to be anyone's meal. So if one or both of you could show me to the beach I would be grateful; however, if you can't or won't show me then just get the hell out of my way." Kegan took a big gulp of air and waiting for a response. After several seconds of quiet he took it upon himself to make his way towards the tree line in the hopes of coming across the beach.

"HA! He has got spunk. I like that in my men." the old hag said from over at her hut that had somehow repaired itself much to the way it was before. She turned around held up a peace sign and grinned a disgusting grin that was compiled of only four razor sharp teeth that somehow reminded Kegan of a spider's fangs.

"Grandma?" Neba and Niiket said in unison and then they just smiled and laughed. Kegan was highly confused but as a shadow loamed out of the jungle his eyes bulged.

"Hey old hag! Look out behind you!" he yelled and began running towards her. The two stopped laughing and looked up just in time to see a giant tiger step on their grandmother's hut and roar.

"Oh shit." Neba said but instead of him going to his grandmother's aid he turned and grabbed Kegan by his tattered shit and held him back.

"That dumb cat. Did he not pay attention to the warnings outside?" Niiket said sighing. To Kegan they seemed to be way to clam about this.

"What in the hell are you thinking. Let me go we have to help her!" He roared back in protest.

"Just shut up and watch. She doesn't need any help from you." Niiket spit back at him. It confused him but he calmed down and Neba let go of him. As they looked on the smile had vanished from the old hag's face and was replaced with a dark look.

"Did you really just break my house?" she said turning to face the tiger. What was odd was the tiger's reaction to her. It seemed scared all of a sudden.

"What?" Kegan began but a Niiket put her hand over his mouth and shocked her head as if saying 'Just watch'.

Kegan looked on but what happened next was very hard to keep track off. The giant of a tiger made a slight movement towards the tree line but before he could actually turn the old hag sprung on him. She leaped straight up into the air and sunk her fangs into the tiger's throat and crushed his windpipe instantly. Kegan's mouth dropped with surprise.

"Dammit! I still couldn't keep track." Neba cursed to himself.

"Ha! I could." Niiket said but Neba could tell she was lying.

"What are you talking about?" Kegan asked looking rather puzzled all of a sudden.

"Its nothing they said in unison." glaring at him as if he asked a question on a touchy subject.

"Anyone want some grub!" the old hag laughed.

Just what in the hell have I gotten myself into.

As they sat around the crackling fire, Kegan looked into the flames.

"So you said you needed my help but what would someone like you people need my help for?" he asked turning to them. The twins frowned and they all stopped eating.

"We need your help in overthrowing our father from the throne." Niiket murmured.

"You've met him. He is the one that had me throw you into the 'Pit of Greeting' whenever you woke up in the village." Neba said. Kegan choked an a piece of tiger meat as he imagined these two being related to the bastard that had basically sentenced him to death.

"We don't know the full story as to what happened. Everyone in the village is afraid of him." Niiket said as a hint of rage began to creep into her voice.

"To be honest even if you got someone to speak on the subject you would quickly find out they did not know what they were talking about anyways. The only one who really knew the full story was grandma." Neba said turning to her.

"Boy if I have told you once then I have told you a thousand times. Do not ask me questions that you are not ready to hear the answer too." the old hag said.

"Well what do we have to do to prove to you that we're ready to hear the truth!? No matter how much it hurts!" Niiket said on the verge of angry tears. Clearly this was a touchy subject and Kegan did not like the thoughts of getting in the middle of it.

"Here let me just go so you three can talk and"

"Hush you! You're just a much a part of this now as they are." the old hag snapped at him causing Kegan to return to silence immediately. She sighed then looked at them anger seeping from every pore. "If you want to know the truth then you'll have to prove you're ready for it. Follow me." she said getting up from her spot and heading off towards the jungle's tree line. We all got up and followed her into the jungle but they weren't alone. A shadowy figure sprang out from his hiding place among the trees and walked into the clearing.

"Useless tiger." the stranger said before picking up a slab of meat and began ripping into it. As he stood their watching the opposite side of the clearing a small bird burst from the jungles interior and landed gently on his shoulder. "Follow them and report back to me. Whenever they reach their destination we'll make our move. Isn't that right, Nero?" Just as the bird flew off another person stepped out of the jungle to stand beside the man.

"My name is Nera! Not Nero! How many times do we have to go over this?!" she said a little perturbed at the man's clear neglect for pronouncing her name right.

"Whatever." the man said as he began to walk away. "Don't dilly dally, Nero. Otherwise you'll get left behind."

"Why you! Ugh..... honestly. Why do I always get stuck with you?" she complained as she began to sprint to catch up. "Wait up, dumbass!"
