Sorry for the wait, guys; I kind of wanted to give it a breather, see if some of the old folks or any curious people would still show up, and reflect about, after all that time, finally ending this. At least the curtain closes on this War(game). Having been here since the first interactions of the 'Male vs Female' on this club, in a time when this kind and many other forms of 'engagement-seeking threads' were all the rage here in MAL, I find it quite impressive that we carried it to the finale. Back then someone would open up with a challenging first post, and the active members would storm it up looking for the bragging rights, sometimes inviting friends of other clubs to gain some edge to a quick finish, other times going as far as reaching the maximum number of posts allowed by the site moderation. But this type of thing was always of a super ethereal nature; it either got solved in a boom or was abandoned to oblivion. When this 3rd Male vs Female started, after quite some games were just played to saturation, and it got fought to a stale state, paired with the decreasing activity in clubs in general, I had doubts if it would ever see completion... but the sliver of us that kept going, even desynchronized and forgetful, brought it to the end. Maybe for some completionist sense, or boredom, or even just for the expectation that someone would see your simple number message, sent maybe to the void, and ping it back, in such a spaced wait and with vague hope like an astronaut floating in outer space looking at his comms device; be any of those reasons, we did it! Male vs Female 3.0 is over! We, the male side, are the winners, so now rejoice!  Aside from the valiant efforts of the front liners back at the beginning of the clash, I would like to salute those who played the looong game and I carry as brothers in arms: @Darkwolf1, the prolific gamer; @SukryLi, the club creator himself; @fausifahrial, the laser-point focus finisher sniper; It was quite great playing with you all!!  And, what can I say to the best man that helped me carry out the bulk of it all, for more than a decade, through the thick and thin, digit by digit, making each -1 count, like the true hummingbird in the forest fire fable: @Archmen, we really saw it through, didn't we?! It was such an honor playing with you, my friend! Thanks for everything!  For it may look like a meaningless effort with an inconsequential reward, but at least to me it is all worth it when in the future I can look back and think, "Yeah, there was that time when I played that silly game subtracting a number at a time, and, even though it should have been abandoned, someone that I never met, no matter how many time had passed, always came and kept us rolling. Hehehe. Till the end, even. Fun times." |

I tried to come up with a coherent review but unless I hire some ghostwriter or have ai write for me It'll take forever for me to match with your post. Officially the game's done.
