Chapter 1 Bootleggers Delight ____________________ Through their journeys upon the sea, the crew shared many memories and things. With time they had become like a family. And like with every family, there are black sheeps~ "Ssshh, she'll hear us!" Ringer whispered, sneakin past Dianas chamber with a kettle and two large mugs in his hands. Noah was right behind, equally stealthy in his movements. It was the middle of the night and the rest of the goldforge crew had gone to sleep. Ringer and Noah was on watch, but they had found a more fun alternative to watching calm seas and serene skies. Pellews crew were more then equipped to handle it, heck probably even a better choice. Making their way the lower deck, past the steam boilers, they reached what looked like a dead end. ____________________________________________________ "Durn that was close, did anyone see us?" Ringer asked, and begun searching the bulkhed for a hidden mechanism with his hand. For days they had worked on this project, and today they would finally see the fruits of their labor. |

| By the "Ssshh," Ringer meant for Noah to stop airguitaring his way behind Ringer. He just couldn't hold his excitement in as they snuck past their captain's quarters. It was the dead of night with the rest of the crew sound asleep and a miracle that a man of Ringer's stature was stealthily making his way around the ship as Noah danced in silence behind him. "I'm cool man, I'm cool," Noah responded in a whisper as they descended to the lower deck. Soon they made their way past the steam boilers and into what looked to be a dead end. "Durn that was close, did anyone see us?" "Actually, now that you mention it, I wasn't paying attention," Noah replied while scratching his head, and just then he felt a peculiar feeling between his legs as he shivered in response. "Geh! Ah, It's only you, Liddo-k-ack!" The pup jumped up onto Noah's chest licking both sides of his face feverishly as Ringer looked for the hidden mechanism. "Gah, mate settle! Settle!," he pleaded onto the pup calm down, and just in time for Ringer to pop open the switch into a hidden room unknown to the rest of the crew. "Heh, I guess three's company eh mate?" Noah added, but little did he know as the three entered the chamber that Liddo left a trail of mercury behind as he was chasing the two of them the whole time. |

| "Ghehehe" Ringer snickered quietly when Noah was assaulted by Liddo. Lucky the dog was such a natural at controlling the mercury logia, licking or even rubbing aginst people was no issue anymore. He did however still leave mercury footprints and trails here and there. "Aye, three's company~" he said and closed the bulkhead behind them, the door seemingly becoming one with the wall as it locks into place. Rubbing flint and steel together, Ringer lit a small oil-lamp on the wall and took it down. "Gentlemen, i give you the Moldforge, guhehe" He giggled, and put the lamp down on the wooden table in the middle of the chamber, turning the flame to max to light up the room. it was a small chamber, no more then a storage room just barely wide enough to fit the table and a chair for Noah. Ringer owuld have to sit on the floor due to his size if he had any hopes of not hitting his head on the ceiling with every sip. On the far wall was a contraption that looked like a science experiment, and in a sense it was. Glass tubes, copper pipes and tiny hoses made up an array of chambers and boilers that would make any chemist jelaous. It did however carry the uncanny signs of Ringers craftmanship. It was rugged, filthy in design even, but it would probably never break and it did the job it was designed for. Despite its untraditional design, there was no mistaking what this insane contraption was supposed to be: A moonshine distillery~ |
