Obviously Felli resembles Nadeisco's Ruri, who was called the "Electronic Fairy."

"Fairy" has often been applied to attractive women, much like "nymph."

Were the writers trying to say that Felli's parents were naming her "Fairy"?

If so, what about "Faye" Valentine of Cowboy Bebop? "Fay" can mean "Fairy."

The name "Felli" does sound a lot like "Fairy" depending on the pronounciation of the word. More over, Felli is a psychokinetic user which is somewhat the same as fairies in the sense of special powers. Due to her strong psychokinetic abilities, Felli is usually lacking emotions, even when she is hanging out with Fon-fon which is somewhat the same as fairies being cold towards humans. Thus, the name "Felli" may actually mean "Fairy" or perhaps, just a pun and has no meaning in it at all.

Either way, Felli is cute and her powers are very handy during battles as well.
