Favorite character?
| I love them all so much but my fav. is totally Hinata^^ he caught my eye from the minute i watched the walk through of the game top 5 fav. male characters of sdr2 1- Hinata Hajime 2- Nagito Komaeda 3- Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu (he is so adorable) 4- Gundam Tanaka 5-Kazuichi Souda [his backstory is too much for me to handle] |
| sobs it's so hard to just pick one but so far Hinata is winning! lol he's my favorite too but I actually voted for Gundam because i love him too much. In general, i just feel very attached to all the characters in sdr2, they all have their charm. |
| Sooo very many fantastic characters in SDR2 >.< It was hard to choose. I ended up going with Fuyuhiko, cause I've been more or less obsessed with hime for awhile now. Though my list goes like this: 1- Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu 2- Chiaki Nanami 3- Kazuichi Souda 4- Teruteru Hanamura 5- Mahiru Koizumi Absolutely hate Saonji however >.< Only character I have strong feelings against.... |

| Ibuki Mioda is definitely my favorite overall. I also really like Saionji, Nekomaru, and Gundam. Don't get me wrong, I love the entire cast, but I hold these to a higher standard. I love 'em. ;_______; |

| My top 5 is probably 1. Nagito Komaeda 2. Kyouko Kirigiri 3. Chiaki Nanami 4. Makoto Naegi 5. Probably Hajime Hinata though Byakuya Togami/Ikusaba Mukurou/Sakura would come close. As you can probably tell, I have a thing for the trial point getters. I definitely like Komaeda the most, but I do fluctuate between 2-4 quite a bit. I feel like all three are highly competent and capable. Naegi embodies hope, which I love, and he was willing to die for his friend, which showed a lot of courage. Kirigiri is willing to do whatever it takes to succeed and is the best female detective Ive personally ever seen. Nanami is so sweet and her actions feel so heartfelt and strong, and shes so selfless. For my fifth, I have a bit of trouble because there were times I felt Hinata showed a lot more weakness (and humanness) than Naegi, which I liked in some cases ways and disliked in some ways. I feel like Naegi was a more pure, strong hero, aided by luck and his own skill more than Hinata. In SDR2, it was really Nagito and Nanami who shined in the trials imo, not Hinata as much. I also really like Togami's personality, even if he was constantly wrong. And I felt Sakura was really strong and capable. But yeah, Id lean toward the trial point getters overall. Edit: Just realized this was SDR2 only, my top three are Komaeda, then Nanami, then Hinata. Not sure who after them, maybe Nidai/Owari/Twogami/someone else. I esp loved how Twogami wanted to protect everyone though and his super ability. |
| I liked the cast for this game a lot. Nanami is my absolute favorite. Despite being an AI, she learns and evolves just like a human would (think of how "anti-social" she was at the beginning and how much she started to talk later on). I loved her personality a lot, how kind she was and how much she wanted to avoid killings at all costs, even sacrificing herself by revealing her position as the "traitor". Her interactions with Hajime were amazing, and I really liked her free-time events and how they foreshadowed the fact that she is an AI. By the time of her execution I was really attached to her so it was really difficult to see her go, but I was happy when she "returned" in chapter 6 and Hajime was finally able to thank her. I see a lot of complaints about her being worse because she's an AI, and I couldn't disagree more, that has no bearing on the writing of the character or the likability of her personality. Overall a really nice and well written character that struggled to become more like a human, and succeeded in my opinion. Nagito is a relatively close second, he's without a doubt the most interesting and well written character in the series, having a really complex mindset and ideology which only gets revealed to be more messed up than you thought it was with each chapter. His free time events give a lot of insight about why he chooses to cling to hope above all else, and they made him much more humane. His death didn't hit me as hard as when Nanami was executed but it was shocking regardless. He would be my favorite if I didn't have a thing for characters like Nanami. I will never understand why the fans of Nanami always fight the fans of Nagito, I mean sure I know what happens in Chapter 5 but still, they're both my favorites. The third and final one would be Fuyuhiko. I thought he would be my most hated character before the end of Chapter 2, and from there on I just kept liking him more and more with each scene. I felt like losing Peko really made him grow up, becoming more sociable and agreeable. I like how he still retained a good portion his personality and it didn't suffer a 180º change too, it would have felt unrealistic otherwise. The change in his character was really noticeable and tangible. |
