The storyline for this is pretty simple. It's the story of Honoka and her friends and their transition into idols. The school being demolished is used as a plot point to drive the story forward. The character development sis minimal at best, with only some characters given more focus. The characters are made with well-defines looks. The music is generic but pretty catchy. Most of the insert music videos are done using 3D animation. This anime as a whole is worth watching, it is an idol anime that has a lot of potential and definitely not set to disappoint.

Overall Rating is: 8

Okay so at first I looked up the anime and it said seinen and i was like "Dalton whyyy?" Because if you didn't know seinen is for BOYS so i was worried about a bunch of fanservice. I was pleasantly surprised when i found that it was enjoyable and i was a girl, maybe it wasn't seinen i dont know lol. Anyway, to the anime: So first off, i noticed how the dancing looked different from the anime which according to nekochan25 is due to 3d animation. Fine with me, it looked kind of cool! And second, my favorite part was their camping trip, just a bunch of girls having fun. Aside from that (i know i suck at staying on track lol) i liked their dancing in the videos, how the girls' personalities were all developed and shown through their clothes, thoughts and actions. It was interesting how the student council members decided to join as well. The girl with the two pigtails was kind of awkward, grabbing at everyone's breasts and stuff, but she was pretty funny. The whole time i was like 'wow they had only started from 3 girls onstage and less than 10 in the crowd and now look where they are' and then when Honouka overworked herself i was thinking 'wow they were so close and this one mistake costed so much'. The mood became really down and Kotori was leaving and I was like 'what a bad way to end an anime' but WAIT! Because Honouka went to get Kotori and make her stay so the group continues for another season next year! I don't know how I feel about the way Honouka decided to ask Kotori to stay. On one side, Kotori is leaving her friends because she gound something better, which makes her kind of selfish to leave her friends like that for something that would benefit her. On the other side, Honouka shouldn't try to stop her friend from achieving her dreams just because she would be lonely until high school ended. Something to ponder, that's all. Okay well if you read up to here congratulations and i'm really tired so I'm going to stop now sorry it was so long but basically I liked the anime and i give it a 7.5 because I did feel like it was missing something (i dont know what though! Hopefully they'll get that 'oomph' in the next season!)

Actually, Seinen is for MEN. Shonen is for boys. :P

Anyway, Love Live! School Idol Project is one of the first anime I watched on Crunchyroll (To be more exact, the second) and I was really drawn to it because it reminds me of my marching band. The time spent with friends, practicing, and of course, making music. I really like that aspect of it.

So, there's this show called K-On!. You might have heard of it, it's one of the most popular music shows of all time. In that show (or what most people say happens) they derp around drinking tea and eating cake. Love Live! could've done that, but it says SCREW THAT. Constant practice, a real focus on the friendships they have and most of all, MUSIC.

This show is really good in delivering what it says it's going to (AKA MUSIC) and making it effective. It's not as strong in story. While it's good in the first half, the last bit sort of falls flat (mostly in episodes 12-13). It doesn't do anything that could ruin the show, not by a long shot.

The animation for Love Live is really, surprisingly good. The hair flies everywhere and they sweat during the performances, the colors are lively, and it never stops being above average. There is the sort of weird 3D models that pop up during the dance scenes, but they're easily forgivable.

All in all, Love Live is a heartwarming show that at least doesn't cease to entertain.

Total Score: 8/10
