What I like about Envy?! Oh dear, this is gonna be a looong one! xD
I like Envy because of his edgy and psychotic personality. He seems so unpredictable, and I love it.
The manga Envy and the first anime-Envy are two different characters, with a lot of things in common, but different, but they're still awesome in each way, and I love them both. I can't chose one.
The-first-anime Envy is very powerful (seems like the strongest of them all), unattainable and very unbeatable. He never got beaten by anyone, and when Edward did hit him in their fight, it just seemed like Envy was playing around and letting Edward smash him in the face. This Envy also have a very dark past, and it makes you a little sad, and it also makes him seem more human - a child who is angry and sad because his parent abandoned him.
Manga Envy is also very powerful, but he doesn't seem like he is the most powerful one and he isn't unbeatable. He seems more sadistic and crazy than the-first-anime Envy, because he's joking more around, making funny faces, laugh and smirks in one moment, and then kick you in the guts (remember in Brotherhood, where Envy and Ed first met? When Envy ran forward to Ed to kick him later, with his hand raised, I really thought it looked like he wanted to give Edward a high-five xD)
This Envy doesn't seem so human like the other Envy.
But they're so good in their own way. They both have that edgy and cocky attitude - and I just adore insane people. Really, I fancy nothing more than Envy. I love that Envy has the attitude of a rebellion teenager (... I don't know how to say that properly in English), because it makes him seem so young, and I can relate more to him and wish to be like him.
But we must not forgot the look!
Even though the outside shouldn't matter, it really does with Envy. It is so special! In the manga Envy doesn't have a gender (I just love that! xD), but he still gets refereed as male. And for a male, it is pretty unusual to have that kind of style that Envy has. But that's also what makes him so awesome, and despise his looks, he doesn't seem like a littly girly gay person (no, I have nothing against homosexuals, I am just using the fashion-crazy-movie-gay-guy you sometimes see en girly film, just to give you a picture).
Lets start with the clothes: NO BOY would wear that kind of clothes, because they would be afraid of the reaction and being called gay. But Envy does and that makes him seem even more confident and cool, because he know that his attitude does NOT make him seem girly, and he doesn't get unsure of his fashion style once (but pissed if you try to criticizes it, Greed!)
And the hair! Who does NOT love the hair? Whether it's green or black, it doesn't matter. It's long, but still spiky and it's so unusual. But this ALSO makes Envy seem more confident - he doesn't care if it's mostly girls who have long hair. He has it and he's making it look better than any other girls hair! I absolutely love his hair, and I felt in love with it the first time I saw it.
And now for the body; the body is to me perfect in it's own twisted way. It has everything both genders want; young looking, strong arms, skinny waist, strong and slender legs, a pretty - but still badass - face... Envy is looking like he's only skin and bones, and yet he's still strong. And that is what I always have wished for, and surely many girls do. And he has the attitude, that little smirk and strong arms, like the boys wish they had.
So even though it's mixed strangely together, it makes us all envy something about Envy! xD And that's another thing I like about him.
Like I said, Envy has this smirk that no one else can make, but wish they could. That evil villian-smirk... Makes the girls melt and the boys jealous xD
But Envy also has so many facial expression, that can make him look adorable, threating, scary, sadistic, psychotic, hilarious and much more. And it's so wonderful! I love that about him!
And then there's his real form (in the manga. I don't wanna talk about the William form, because I didn't like it!)
That giant salamander-looking-like thing, with something that looked like ghosts on the back and in the tongue.
Of course I like Envy's preferred form the best, but when I saw his real form I was all light and flame! I loved the form! It made Envy seem like a snake in disguise, which I thought was absolutely genius, and it was scary with the ghost-like things on the back, and I just thought it was so brilliant. And it was BIG! I thought it was so genius, and it made me like him even more!
I love that Envy isn't a 'villian-that-is-hot-and-powerful-so-all-the-fangirls-will-love-him-forever-because-he's-so-freaking-hot', because let's face it; the anime world has ENOUGH of those guys. That's another reason I like Envy.
And then there is his second real form. The little wormy thing.
Come ON! It's adorable! And I loved, that even though he was in that weak and pity form and in a jar, he still showed attitude! That's just cool!
Like I already wrote, I like that Envy is psychotic and sadistic. For some reason, that is a HUGE turn on for me(? xD), and that is a very important reason that I like Envy.
There is a lot more, but this is getting to long. To sum up, I love ALL about Envy. It doesn't matter if he's the green-haired one or the black-haired one, I just love him!
