| Gungrave is one of my favourite anime! I just love the story and the characters. The setting is awesome. Madhouse did a good job with the animation and the soundtrack is one of my favorites. I love the Ending theme. I just love everything about Gungrave (ok, there are some minor faults...but i don't care) ! ________________ So what do you especially like/dislike about Gungrave? |

| The thing that appealed me the most about Gungrave was the story. It reminded me of Berserk. The action and character design were also great, but the story, and I mean the part where they were young, it's really fascinating. |

| For me, the drawing point were the games, which had involvement from Yoshihiro Nightow. From there, the anime was a natural step. Personally, I loved the characters and the story. |

They are both good like that. I loved Gungrave when I first say it. Unfortunately I never really found anyone who liked it that much. =/ It's a good show, mayn. |

Its not just that they are slightly similar. Heres a list of similarities: Both start with an episode that goes near the end. Both have main characters as the strongest fighters in the series. Both have the main characters best friend betray them to become leaders of something. Both start out (in the second episode) in real life like settings, and move to supernatural stuff. The only real differences are that Harry and Grave make up, while Griffith and Guts stay enemies. Feel free to add to that list. |

| I loved the story and artwork of GunGrave. It's one of the few animes i instantly think of when i'm making any anime/manga list. Even though the last time i saw it was 4 years ago. XD |

| I don't get too emotional, but that last episode really was touching. I watched the first 12 episodes on Tech TV's Friday anime and I couldn't wait for the rest to air so I downloaded the entire series. Brandon Heat is such a unique character for an anime. He's like the classic silent protagonist in an RPG. |

| I finished watching this perhaps, a week ago. It's still on my mind, and i'll tell you, i'm not the sort who walks around all day thinking about animes (lies) but Gungrave really really affected me, just like Berserk did. However, Brandon Heat..what an epic character, his relationship with Harry really touched me, the ending was a real suprise. But tbh, I actually enjoyed the flashbacks more, before the whole Emo-Cowboy costume Brandon came out. However, Gungrave will always hold a spot in my favorite animes. (And yes, I know I wrote messy but I just wrote what popped into my mind :p) |

| Hi! Brandon Heat is one of the best "created" Characters i´ve ever seen in an anime. For me its the easiness how you get in touch with the feelings off Brandon Heat. I think the way Brandon Heat acts and feels is perfectly balanced. Its not so that you can say what he is doing next but what he does is something you would do in his Position and with his background. Hope you understand my point of view, my english is not too bad but at the other side my grammer sucks ,] |

| I found the story to be really touching and quite involving. However, I must say that I enjoyed the the beginning of the anime far more than the end. While the end was touching, I disliked to rapid scaling of power that was found towards the end of the series. At first, Gungrave felt like a plausible story throughout most of it, but turned into this high-powered anime that really just killed the immersion level for me. I still love the series to death, don't get me wrong, (it's one of my favorite anime of all time) but if I had to choose something to gripe about, that would be it. |

The beginning of Gungrave was just a 'setting-the-scene' kind of thing, but it gave the entire anime a greater purpose and great depth of reason. I found myself enjoying the flashbacks a lot too, even though flashbacks are usually shunned. Towards the end of Gungrave, the pace changed and a sort of apocalyptic 'ending' mood kicked in, it made me so sad to feel that Gungrave was going to end soon =( |

| I disliked the ending most. I don't care if anime is based to a game or not, but if 2/3 of series tells about Brandon Heat and his life, I think it's unfair to suddenly change the focus on revenge/shooting/killing fight. It's natural that there's some fighting, you can guess it from the first episode, but a whole mood changes when timeline gets to the present time. Luckily, the last episode's focus returns to Brandon and his loyalty, which is series major theme. |
