| I've been promoting that anime here and there but i decided to make a thread bout it, just like that guy who made thread about avatar not being liked and what not. So anyway, why is such a good and masterpiece anime so underrated? Its score is barely 6.9 and it deserves way more than that. I couldn't care less if its an eroge anime adaptation or not. Bellow im going to talk about it, its a romantic comedy anime so people who don't like stuff like that can get out of here, im sick of people who keep rating comedies and romances low and keep watching them, seriously if you dont like such type animes don't watch them.. rofl , i cant even count on how many lists ive seen people rating good comedies with shit scores I've seen the anime while it was airing and i re-watched it during the past 2 days, the first time i saw it i liked it a lot and even put it in my favorites The second time i watched it , i liked it even more than the first and even tho it was already spoiled for me i still lol-ed on some places and got *touched* by the story. The anime has: the perfect length ,its not rushed or anything like that, i don't want to spoil it but basically once Asuka figured it out she didn't wait 450 episodes to do something, she took action quite fast - which is realistic and totally something that could happen Doesn't have supernatural bullshit has good sense of humor with many funny moments has good amount of fan service, NOT ENOUGH even, its a bit more in the beginning then it focuses on the story, and well they made an OVA for fanservice(buut there its too much, meh whatever i dont mind eitherway) has a very good and non-cliched story, which didn't get ruined like many animes's stories, its very original and yes there are other anime/movies like that but this one doesn't give off the feeling as if its some pathetic copy (like ef-a tale of memories does, such an overrated trash) Awesome art, its easily 1 of the prettiest animes out there. I suggest that MAL staff changes the rating system to this: animes that are currently airing shouldn't be available for rating them, animes that are with known episode count This anime had 6.5 score when barely 5 episodes have been aired, how can people be so stupid really? Some of the negative posts ive seen are like " i dont get whats happening" < wtf hows that the anime's fault ? i guess its in people's nature to blame the *thing* instead themself, if they fail at a game they'll say the game is stupid and not themself the anime makes perfect sense, you can rewatch it if you don't get it and you'll get it. I believe im bout to get flamed now but i need to kill some time , hence why i wrote this thread. Regardless of all that -its a great anime , i guess its not for kids cause they won't get the meaning of it, its also not for gays (which happens to be a big part from the people visiting these forums, based on what ive read last days) .. altho it has quite a lot male characters |

| Because it was an awful excuse for an adaptation of a gargantuan VN. They tried to fit a VN FAR longer than Clannad into... 12 episodes. They assumed people who cared already knew the plot twist of the VN so they didn't even bother with that and tried to turn it into some sort of parody of your generic harem... only it didn't do very well at that. |

| Troll or not, it seems to be a generic mediocre harem, and OP's arguments doesn't make it seem otherwise. Plus I trust Archaeon's review of it far too much to bother trying to watch it. |
| lmao its not even been 10 posts and there are already people calling me troll and posting stuff from other places, gotta love internets always the same crap. I've seen many romances and comedies, not just animes but also movies and TV shows, for me to like it then it means its good , because i have bigger expectations since my view is " wider". I don't know bout the visual novel but the anime itself is good, if you look at it from a "stand-alone" version its not rushed or anything like that, its better to be short than to have 5 episodes about Fuuko and then it turns out that was their imagi-wait what and they forget all about her (from clannad ,obviously) The stuff in it can be justified, its length can be justified hell even its harem can be justified, unlike other harems in which the main char is some loser and he gets 50 hot chicks(to love RU for example). There aren't many other " harems " which can be justified that good. @Baman, seriously? you trust some kid's review instead of watching it for urself, im glad i didn't do the same mistake , i saw its score being ridiculously low so i didn't even give a it a chance, but then boredom won and i decided to watch ep1, something (probably the ridiculous panty humor which suits me) made me want to see more and thats how i watched it. nowadays if you act smart and talk shit out of ur ass, with big letters and comas and dots on the right place and stuff like that you're supposed to give off a better aura or impression or what? i can write a smart-ramble and say its " constructive criticism " bout some shit anime which i dislike but deep inside it ill still hate it, its that easy to win people? (im referring to the review in here) More importanly , why would you read a review for anime before even watching it? :E |

| It was a very good series. Its from the same developers as Shuffle which was also great. Many dont like harem shows, but if you do, Oretachi is one of the better picks along with Clannad and Shuffle. |
| Why would someone who likes space action fiction animes be watching comedy animes? I don't like horrors, i don't watch them , if i happen to watch a horror ill say its dumb - its absolutely the same, and thats why i dont watch horrors .. rofl i dunno if i can give you more obvious example than that This is common sense, people who don't like some *type* of animes shouldn't watch that type, i've been thru the profiles of some people in this thread and i know they don't like comedies, yet they watch them and if they like them then why would they score them low? lol |

That's some good entertainment there. But really though, even if people are biased against harem anime, if by some chance word gets by that they might be good, they will probably give it a try. I personally don't mind harem anime as long as they are well executed, like Bakemonogatari for example. Most VN adaptations suck balls and rarely deserve praise, and this is not a stereotype. Oretsuba had trainwreck directing, it's not that people didn't get what was going on because of a complicated plot development, it was just messed up. |

| Oretachi was a harem anime? It honestly didn't seem like it on account of there being way more male characters than female (3 or 4 of which were even main characters. I think). And it clearly wasn't reverse-harem, either. Anyway, Oretachi is one of those series that I don't know what to think about it (hence my lack of a score on it). It felt like it had a lot of potential but was too short and ended up being poorly directed and all over the place. I'd like to see it again, though, because I get the feeling it would be easier to grasp if I watch it all together instead of once a week. |
