Okay, this place has been kinda weak as far as hardcore comic fan topics, so I figure I'll start the first one. For those of us who are huge comic geeks, you already know that Final Crisis and Secret Invasion are the summer blockbuster events for DC and Marvel, respectively.

So which are you most interested in? Final Crisis by legendary scribe Grant Morrison or Secret Invasion by recent superstar writer Brian Bendis?

For reference...

Secret Invasion

Final Crisis

Have at it, comic nerds.

Oh. For my part, Final Crisis all the way. I'm a HUGE Grant Morrison fan, and I love what DC's been doing lately. FC 1 pretty different, but I liked it anyway. Plus I'm not that big a fan of Bendis since Avengers: Disassembled came out, and I don't care for this "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" thing either.

Secret invasion is really slow. 3 issues in and barely anything. I mean if anyone has read any of the other big Marvel events, they would know that the pacing of the stories are brutally slow but I thought they might change for this one. The first issue of final crisis was amazing. Yea DC has been right on the money for a while. a little off topic but I seriously can't wait for the darkest night green lantern story.

I'm a huge comic fan. But I'm an even bigger Morrison fan (If that's even possible, since he is a sudivision of comics, but whatever).

I've read Doom Patrol, Animal Man, parts of his JLA run, the Filth, Flex Mentallo, parts of his Batman Run, Seven Soldiers of Victory, and everything has been amazing.

Also, FC solicits are awesome by themselves. Super Young Team? Anti-life equation and the internet? Human Flame? Awesome, awesome and more awesome.

Secret Invasion could reset all sorts of things, but unfortunately Marvel fans get a little antsy when you talk about fixing the botch-ups that've occurred these past few years for some reason. Oh well.

BTW....FC 2 was freaking AWESOME.

Crisis looks more promising to me, and I'm not a DC fan. But last year's Civil War beats both, I think.

Civil War was 05. It was also crap, but that's besides the point.

meh im going for the neither vote, im not really into dc so its not like im gonna start reading it just for one event and secret invasion hasn't really interested me from the few books I have read of it, which is still better than civil war which i liked till it crapped out with the crappiest crap ending ever to be crapped.... , now house of M and age of apocalypse, those were some good events
