| The crew of the Aurora flies the ship with a practiced hand. Alexi and Cyn have agreed to go through with Alan's plan to create a new planrt for the people of Kavarda. But will it work the way they desire? What will the reaction of the Galactic Federation be when they learn of their plan? Will the group be able to deal with the challenges that they will now be faced with? |
| Alan jumping through the ship excitedly. "Oh it's been years since I have been to Halloin! I am wanting to run in it's feilds and jump into it's waters." |
| Alexi stands at the ship's helm, keeping course. Cyn has been walking around taking inventory and checking the status of various supplies. Zaine stands watching Alan jumping around excitedly. "You haven't been home in a while huh? What are you returning to?" |
| Alan looks at him and smirks. "You will just have to see! It is glorious!" |
| Zaine smirks at the thought. He was starting to get a bit excited now too. Alexi turns enough to look back at them. "Well, the wait's almost over. Hey Alan! You have a spot where you'd like us to land? This is your planet afterll." |
| Alan nods. "Coming and ready for spotting!" she giggles and walks toward them. |
| Alexi shows her a map of the planet and known cities and towns. "Where should we land? You should know the terrain better than us. I hope you don't mind acting as a guide while we're here either. None of us have been here before." While the girls are busy discussing their issue, Cyn takes Zaine aside. "What's up?" Zaine asks. "Listen," Cyn says, voice stern. "Don't go off on your own this time alright? I got in trouble with Alexi because of last time, and if it happens this time, it'll be you taking the bullet--not me." Zaine shows no expression on his face when he answers, rather matter-of-factly: "Wow Cyn. I didn't realize you were such a little b***h." |
| Alan looks at the map and points. "There, Pulden. We will then be in a perfect area no water though it's close. It's only a few miles from Watreya." |
| Alexi nods. "Alright! You heard the girl! Prepare to land!" Zaine starts to walk off towards his room when Cyn stops him. "Alright, look," Cyn says. "I've been lenient so far, but you're pushing your luck Zaine" Zaine shrugs. "Hey. Sorry man. Didn't realize that you can't handle a little healthy competition." "What are you talking about?" Zaine moves in close to him. "You know exactly what I'm talking about Cyn." Zaine walks off leaving Cyn to stand alone in the hall. (Alright then Zaine. If that's how you want it...) "Game on!" |

| The ship lands without incident and the crew go about their various duties of sercuring camp. Alexi gives a few orders then finds Cyn, Zaine, and Alan. "We ready to go guys?" Cyn was giving Zaine the evil eye, though Zaine was completely ignoring him. Zaine was looking around, getting that kid in a candy shop excitment that he had gotten on Kavarda. "Ready whenever! Lead the way Alan." He did a mock flourish and bow to her. |
| Alan nods "Very well, lets go." She leads them steadily to Watreya. |
| Alexi, Cyn, and Zaine look around at the scenery as they head towards the capital. "It's so lush here..." Alexi says in wonder. "Reminds me of Phanaphos' jungles a bit." Zaine says. "Reminds me of the times I went hunting there..." He absently strokes some large-leafed plants as they walk. |
| Alan smiles at his comment and continues. "Yes, it is quite tropical and lush. Just wait till you see-well there you go." They come upon to these large ruins that run very far. It seems to almost tower over them with it's size. You can see the many aquifers around it and the waters in the city itself. They come upon the tall pillars that help hold the citys gate. |
| Alexi and Cyn were silent. It was magnificent. "Unbelievable..." Cyn said. Zaine stood shocked for a moment. (It looks like Atleos...Except, Atleos' buildings are made of a different material...) "This looks like a huge city." |
| Alan smile looks more wide that usual. "Come on there is alot more to see!" |
| Alexi and Cyn follow, silently taking in the city. Zaine, on the other hand, seemed to want to know every little detail possible about every little thing they encounter, from a crack on the road, to the architecture and planning behind the city. Alexi was starting to get anxious. "Hey Alan. Who's in charge of the city? What kind of government do you have here?" |
| "Well, we have a king of course but he isn't the true person in charge. He merely consults the Goddess and she is what decides." She runs her hand along the walls of the city memorizing them once more. |
| "I see." Alexi says. (A goddess huh?) "So this goddess is the real leader of your people?" "Who is it we're to meet with to ask for assistance?" Zaine asks. |
| "The king, he will confront the goddess and ask her for her answer. What she thinks should be done and if we should help. She is the real leader, indeed." They get about the the middle of the city and there are stairs all around a fairly tall temple with a fountain at the very top, spewing water. The sides of the temple have water running down sloped aquifers leading into cracks along the roads. |
| Alexi starts to say something but stops herself. Cyn gives her a knowing glance. Zaine catches it and starts to ask, but is stopped when Alexi gives him a sharp glance. Instead he asks, "So Alan, there's an aweful lot of water around. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say this sn't the kind you drink." |
| "No, this is the water that helps out city stay alive. We drink a certain purified water specificly for our bodies." She looks up to the temple. "This is where we consult our godess. We have the most water kept here for ceramonies and to keep the godess alive as well. Without her our city would be lost." She gestures them to follow. Out of nowhere a figure speeds past them and in front of Alan. When it stops everyone is once again, shocked. The figure is what appears to be a ugly-mugged dog with a toad like head. He is short and rather large but can manage to run fast. His tounge sticks out as he looks up at Alan with pleading eyes. "Apă!" Alan kneels down and licks his face happily with excitment. "How are you boy!?" |
| Alexi and Cyn share a look of astonishment. "Is that your dog?" Alexi asks, a bit skittishly. (That thing does not look like a canine...) Zaine acts like ts the most normal looking thing here. "Ooooh cool!" He walks over to stand by Alan. "He's huge!" He says enthusiastically. "Does he bite?" |
| Alan smirks. "Not hard." she giggles. "No, go ahead he is very friendly. He won't hurt you." A man that looks to be in his late 70s walks out of the temple. He looks suprisingly at Alan. Saiin Mal- "SHH!" she says quickly. "Sakda." She looks timelessly into his eyes and hugs him happily. "I have missed you." Sakda looks at her then at the others. "Who are your friends?" "I am bringing them to see Duarte. We hope to save their world and make it new." Sakda "Saiin! You know it will be difficult. The ancients hold on to our world alone." Alan looks at him sternly. "Sakda, if the ancients have created and maintained this world for so long we can help them as well." |
| Alexi and Cyn share another unsure glance. "Maybe we shouldn't bother them," Alexi says to Cyn quietly. "Not if their world will be at risk." Cyn nods in agreement. Zaine pets the creature. "You remind me of my first hunting dog." He says to Apa. "Though you look nothing like him!" |
| Alan giggles. Sakda sighs and looks at her. "We will consult it with the goddess. I am sure we will have sort of idea of how this can be resolved even if not through us. A halloin can not shoo anyone. That is the way of our people." He nods. "Let us enter the Temple of Ea and answer your needs." He motions them to follow as they walk into the temple. Apa follows. |
| Zaine, still all kid-in-a-candy-shop, excitedly follows Apa. Alexi and Cyn remain silent as they follow, seemingly sharing a conversation without saying a word to each other. |
| Sakda leads them to a giant room that is nothing but a giant pool. The entire room is filled with stain glass windows of blue. The ceiling however has one small circle in the middle leading out into the day like a sky light. "Step in my friends. Saiin will perform the dance in order to call the goddess for your question." Sadka bows. "Good luck, friends" He leaves silently. Alan immediatley falls into the pool in front of an altar that stands in the middle glimmering in the light. Her head hangs as she sits motionless. |
| "We are supposed to step in the pool?" Zaine asks. (Alan's name is Saiin...?) Alexi hesitates. "I guess so..." She looks over to Cyn for help, but he was already standing knee-deep in the water. She shrugged and copied him. Zaine stayed back, a decent distance from the water. |
| Alan sits chanting in an unknown language. She ends up lifting her head looking like she is in pain and screaming in a foriegn tone. The light from the sky dims and the water starts to move like an ocean during a storm. |
| Zaine inches farther away from the water until he's at the entrance to the temple. Alexi and Cyn remain where they are, waiting to see what will happen next. |
| The light flashes and Alan lays under the water passed out. A woman in white see through fabric stands beyond her. Her dark brown hair travels just above her breasts. She walks close towards Cyn and Alexi in her nudist glory and smiles to them while her porcelian face glows. "You are the ones who seek the fate of Kavarda?" |
| Cyn was unable to speak. She was so...DAMN! After a moment, Alexi nodded. "Yes." (Wasn't expecting that...) |
| The goddess looks into Cyns eyes. "Are you flustured by my free apperance?" Her face remains emotionless. "Ask your questions, we have little time." |
| Cyn's face turns beet red and he looks away, unable to respond. Alexi looks at her. "We want to...create an actual planet for the people of Kavarda. What must we do in order to achieve this goal? To ensure that the new planet will support the people and last?" |
| Ea nods. "You must work with the people of Halloin. However, if you are to do this you will need to gain their trust. After you have done that you must establish an agreement. What shall you do for them? Then, before you have gone to achieve your goal come to seek me again. Maybe you will achieve it, time will tell." She dissapears into the water and Alan comes up from under the water gasp. Alan heaves in and out and as she stands up slowly they see her outfit has changed. |
| Cyn stands there still stunned and red faced. Alexi falls back and lands heavily on her hands. "Well, that was...different." She looks over at Alan. "You ok--" She sees her change of clothes. "Your clothes..." Zaine walks over cautiously. "You guys okay?" Alexi nods. Cyn didn't move until Alexi elbowed hm in the ribs, which abruptly brought him back to reality. "I'm fine." He said, his face still a tad flushed. |
| Alan falls into Cyn weakly. "E...a" |
| "Hey" Cyn's body responds automatically and he catches her. "Are you alright?" Alexi stands up and exits the water. (Gain the Halloins' trust? How am I going to do that?) She looked over to Cyn and Alan. Cyn had a look of concern on his face that she had hardly ever seen. She almost felt jealous. Almost. |
| Alan closes her eyes and drifts into a deep sleep in Cyns arms. |
| Cynlooks down at her, just now noticing that her clothes are different. He sighs in relief when he realizes she's sleeping. Zaine takes a step forward. "She must be tired after all that." Cyn gives him a 'no duh' face and stands up, Alan cradled in his arms. "What do I do with her now?" He asks. "She's asleep." "We could take her back too the ship," Alexi says. "But that might not go over too well. I'm sure carrying her through the city like that isn't a good idea." |
| Sadka walks back in and sees Alan sleep. "Ah, the ceremony is a transfusion of fluids from one body the next through a special process. She will need to sleep for a while. Please, stay here. We have rooms for you all to relax in with any services you require. You are the Saiin's guests after all." He smiles brightly. |
| "Thank you." Zaine says. "But I have a question, if I may? You call her the Saiin. what it that?" |
| Sadka looks at them questionably. "You do not know of Mali's purpose?" |
| "Mali's purpose?" Cyn asks. "No," Zaine says. "She has not told us." |
| Sadka looks at them glumly. "Mali is the priestess who calls for the goddess and gives her life energy to keep her alive. Saiin means priestess in our language. One day when the goddess is fully healed and able to be fully maintained, Mali will give herself up for sacrafice. You see, Saiin Mali needed to do a mission for the goddess but she couldn't get into the federation as a fake agent without changing her name. If they found out she was from Halloin, they would suspect her as a spy. The goddess is known as a witch in many planets. Hated by many." He sighs. "She would not have told you, she doesn't like to make others upset about her sacrafice." |
| Alexi stood there stunned. Zaine had a troubled look on his face. Cyn looked down at Alan with sad eyes. "You should have told us..." He said quietly. After a silence, Alexi spoke. "I see. I understand why she would want to keep that a secret." A pause. "Well, we better get her to a bed." Zaine nodded, though he was looking at his medallion now. Cyn was still looking at Alan until Alexi bumped him to get him moving. |
| Sadka nods. "I will show you the way." He leads them to a nice room with four beds. It has a wonderful ocean view and is full of blue and white decor. Sadka "Enjoy. If you get hungry, ring the phone." |
| Cyn set Alan on down one of the beds, then found a nice spot by the window and watched the waves. Zaine, on the other hand, was freaking out on the inside over the whole ocean thing and was as far away from the window as possible. It also helped that he was away from Cyn. (I just hope that Cyn doesn't figure out that I'm--) "Zaine," Alexi said. She was real close to him. "You're afriad of the water aren't you?" He held up his hands defensively. "What are you talking about? That's ridiculous." Cyn had turned around now, interested in the conversation. "Don't lie to me." Alexi pressed. "When we were by the water earlier, you didn't want anything to do with it." "N-no." Zaine said, "I just didn't want to get my gear wet." "The water wasn't deep enough to do that." |
