| Hi! I know there's the recommanded section, but I think it's rather incomplete? The descriptions are short and such. Well, I'm fairly new to this genre, actually, this is the first anime that I watch that isn't related to fighting with always overpowered upgrade each time they encounter someone stronger.. (Naruto, Fairy Tail, Bleach, etc.). And seriously... this is AMAZING, I wonder what kept me from watching other stuff for that long... The problem is that, I'm so not used to watch such a short anime that it makes me kind of sad that it's already about to end (I must've watched all the 9 available episodes in one day, because that's what I'm used to do, when I start watching a 3xx episodes animes). You know how I feel? Ahah. So, back to the topic, I'm looking for a similar anime of that one. I LOVE the mystery comedy romance type, I seriously never thought I'd like that, but I think I found a new addiction. Here's the aspects I like the MOST, so you can maybe help me out? :) - Yuuko's personality, troll ghost, funny, cute, and hm "sexual-prevy"? - The feel of the anime, it's mysterious, but at the same time, it's funny, I love it! - The weirdness of the thing, the main character in love with a ghost, simply love it too. - Only a few characters, but a LOT of personality. That's pretty much it, thanks if you help me! Oh by the way, I'm already currently watching Sankarea, so don't bother suggesting it :) |

| I guess you could say it that way, I'm realizing how good the other animes are, when before I was just 'meh'. I'll look into those animes and watch those that I feel interesting with the synopsis. By the way, I said that I like romance ahah! :) Thanks a lot! ^^ |
| It's really different from what you describe, but I recommend Clannad: - comedy-driven in the first season, more serious in the second one. - great romance story and different kind of characters. - there are mysteries and some are very important for the story. |

| Well, welcome in the club of hipsters, the watchers of non mainstream animes! Seriously though, I think all of us can identify with your feelings, I for one felt Death Note (which isn't that short) was like 2 episodes after watching Dragon Ball. The good thing is that these short animes most of the time really tell an interesting story without unnecessary fillers. Anyways, my recommendation is Another, its initial setup is much like Amnesia's. On the other hand it's much more a horror/mystery/psychological anime than Amnesia, so if you are more into the comedy/romance, then it's not going to be your favorite. Still, I think that it would be worth a shot, I started watching Tasogare Otome x Amnesia after finishing it, and it felt similar to me. And after all, it's only 12 episode either, so you don't have too much to waste anyways. |
| Psychic Detective Yakumo (Shinrei Tantei Yakumo) I loved that, and this reminds me a lot of that. -Only a few characters, but a LOT of personality- though there are more than in this. ---- Not very funny, but a LOT of mystery, and ghosts. Though all of the main good characters are alive. No outright romance. It's setting is Collage with a young man who can see ghosts who solves mysteries with a young female friend. There's not a lot of pervy-ness. It's VERY Serious and Drama/Mystery driven. Of the ones mentioned by the others, Clannad (the series not the movie), True Tears are 2 I'd also recommend. For unique personalities or romance or mystery I'd also recommend these: (Note: I'll list the main genre for each after it-- But they all have unique characters in some way or another) Myself; Yourself--- Romance, Slice of Life, Drama some Mild Mystery. Air (the movie not the series)--- Romance, Reincarnation, Drama, Comedy-- The series has some Mystery- the movie: not so much... similar to Clannad Kanon 2006--- Romance, Mystery, Drama, Comedy-- similar to Clannad. The Girl who Leapt through time(Movie)--- Romance (Mild), Time Travel, Some Comedy. Sola--- Mystery, RomanceDrama, Comedy-- Beings that are not dead or alive. Chrono Crusade (This has a lot of action in it as well at times though a different kind than martial arts)-- Angels & Demons, Mild Romance, Drama, Comedy, Religious, Historical. Full Moon wo Sagashite--- Music, Romance, Magical girl like transformations, Shinigami. Ayashi no Ceres--- Heavy Drama & Romance, Mild Mystery. Kobato--- CLAMP creations (Most anything of CLAMPS is fantastic) --- Demons & Angels, Spirits Romance, Comedy, Drama, Magic, Healing. B gata H kei (Mostly perverted girl after guy- turns into a romance before she's aware, a lot of comedy, no mystery... but VERY funny and some characters with interesting personalities)---Romance, Heavy Ecchi & Comedy. | I am surprised no one mentioned this. Well, it is different as the Boy is the one who is dead and possesses the girl. Not an amazing anime, but I liked it. One of my first few anime I watched that were not on TV but fansubbed, probably 6-7 years back! |
