| So I finally gave in and read ahead (the middle chapters have not been translated). I'm really glad I did because there is so much Arata in the latest chapters! If anyone is interested in reading them, here it is: http://mangafox.me/manga/chihayafuru/v17/c089/1.html When talking about volumes 17-20, just use a spoiler tag. There's some great Chihaya x Arata moments and developments! <3 |

angelica89 said: I hope there won't be a plot twist, and she'll end up with Arata <3 I believe Suetsugu-sensei will lead to Chihaya x Arata ending because of all the symbolism and theme are connected to them: ( I mean we all know why they keep going to tournaments is not just to play a match together: it's also for them to unite which whole the full meaning for them to this wonderful story, with their deep feelings of love for each other that will bring them together ( it will turn out a waste if Chihaya ends up with Taichi: it will bring no meaning to the story's theme). What's happening in the manga now it's far from over, we still haven't seen Arata's main arc yet and not to mention, Chihaya and Arata passionate match together that will bring out all of their passion love for each other and having the karuta cards as their bridge that connects them together: especially the "chiha" card that glows deep red color that signifies "passion" of her deep love for Arata: http://z.mhcdn.net/store/manga/6624/011.0/compressed/hchihaya_02_188.jpg?v=11322249906 OMG YES!!! I really that scene so much ( that's their latest moment together: so cute having them both blushing together in what Arata said to chihaya: "I'm in love with you, Chihaya". Have you read the latest in ch 138 in how she interpreted Arata's words in his love confession to her when he said to her "let's play karuta together" as a marriage proposal "Let's Spend Our Lives Together" that moments carries so much meaning:( so much that even Arata was so surprise of his own feelings of love towards Chihaya that he blushed and walk away while Chihaya was so speechless that she even fainted of the shock, lol) in ch 120 makes perfect sense seeing her reaction after Arata's love confession, what she said when she was looking at a dove ( the symbolism behinds her words seeing the bird glowing seeing the dove happy because she having babies: meaning what Chihaya really desires is to build a "family" together with Arata: all this proves it! Note: one of Dove symbolism is "nesting" which means "family" Thank you for post Angelica89 we really appreciate it to see Chihaya x Arata shippers being active to share how much we wish the best for Chihaya x Arata's love for each other that's so beautiful and pure: ( BTW, Angelica is my first name too, what a coincidence) :) |

| I totally agree, your review is so remarkable. To be honest I really dislike Taichi, and I must admit I'm scared that he'll be awarded for his suffering at the end of the manga. Many Taichi fangirls still think that way and they believe what Chihaya feels for Arata is just admiration. I mean, she even wrote a love poem while thinking about Arata but nobody respects her feelings. Even Kana-chan supported Taichi (the Fujisaki camp trip, the hospital scene) If I knew one of my closest friends acted like that, I would be offended I guess. Taichi and Chihaya shared one of the deepest friendships in the series and I can't imagine a love relationship between them. Especially after reading Chapter 138: We should celebrate the rejection. Btw how he handled the situation is so disgusting. His self-pitying is also disgusting. I'm sick of him playing the victim in all sorts of situations. He's grown up with Chihaya, he knows her and he should have considered her feelings. He guilts her by leaving when she's still in shock. That's not how you treat someone you love even when you, yourself is hurting. I wonder if Taichi knows that receiving her pity won't make her love him back. Would you suddenly fall in love with a guy who has been your best friend since childhood? It doesn't make sense. I really want Taichi to stay in the friendzone until the manga is finished. =)) sweetangie said: BTW, Angelica is my first name too, what a coincidence) :) "Angelica" is my favourite song of the group Anathema, since highschool it's been my nickname. Oh thank you for your compliment, I have a friend from mangafox ( Didi-chan) who really loves to share with us all Chihaya x Arata symbolism and analyses in detail ( Suetsugu-sensei really did her research for Chihaya x Arata relationship, their relationship is so special and one of a kind that we no normally see in other shoujo stories). I'm not worry about Taichi's tactics, I know that he wouldn't get his way no matter what because Chihaya's heart already belongs to Arata and no one can change that (it's not admiration, it's true love: I mean we already saw Chihaya passion poems she wrote about her deep feelings of love towards Arata and those aren't words from a fangirl: it's the words coming from a girl in love: the worst part is that none of her friends from the Mizusawa team cares about her feelings ( they only care for Taichi and no one else) no one respects Chihaya's feelings, not even Taichi who supposedly loves her ( his actions proofs to me that he never loves Chihaya, it's all just obsession that he must have her even though she doesn't love him in return). angelica89 said: Taichi and Chihaya shared one of the deepest friendships in the series and I can't imagine a love relationship between them. I really want Taichi to stay in the friendzone until the manga is finished. =)) I totally agree, I always see Chihaya and Taichi as a close friendship ( more like siblings relation), Chihaya sees Taichi nothing more than a very important friend to her but Taichi doesn't consider that:[spoiler] he should face reality and move on that he's rejected, he has to keep in mind that he can't force Chihaya to love him back by force and I don't see him as a victim: for starters, Chihaya never once played with his feelings ( she never realize that he supposedly loves her) and on the other hand he's already aware that Chihaya has strong feelings for Arata ( note: that Taichi also knows about Arata's feelings for Chihaya as well during their match) despite that he knows that both Chihaya and Arata feelings for each other are mutual but he doesn't care, he's ignoring her affections which makes it even worse. Here's the post I comment about Taichi's behavior I don't feel sorry for him at all in ch 138: Taichi is a complete jerk, I admit I don't pity him because his actions speaks out rather if he deserves sympathy or not: we all know that he was pretty much rejected but that doesn't give him an excuse to act that way: the moment he was acting all desperate and forceful is something I don't support because he wasn't thinking about Chihaya when he went and did that: if he truly loves her, he should of thought about Chihaya's happiness before his own and all he did was acting all selfish and forceful to make Chihaya love him back ( things don't work out that way): the feelings of love always comes out naturally without any force measures ( everything that's force is so fake and dishonest). Taichi is already aware what's in Chihaya's heart: he can't fool himself,Chihaya is in love with Arata and despite that he doesn't care for her or her feelings at all: how dare he didn't let Chihaya save her first kiss for true love. Not only that, when he mentioned to her"you think I'm made in stone" he's blaming her that he can't play karuta anymore just because she can't return his feelings, after everything that happened, he brought Chihaya into depression over something that doesn't respond to her making her feel guilty for everything that happened:I mean it's not a crime for Chiahya to have feelings for someone else that's not him: that's not the way to show someone's affections by punishing them just because they don't feel the same way they want them to ( that's exactly what Taichi did to Chihaya now). Instead of being forceful and wants her to let go of her own feelings: he could of encourage Chihaya to open up her heart and tell her feelings to the person she loves (just like what Sumire encouraged him to tell his feelings to her: but she didn't mention to make Chihaya love him back by force: his own actions is dragging himself down and because of that, he doesn't deserve any room for sympathy): he's no longer a child to be taught what's right and wrong. We can definitely see by Chihaya's reaction from both Arata and Taichi's love confession which from the two she loves the most and who will make her the happiness. Arata really considers about Chihaya's feelings and he respects her feelings by giving her personal space without pressuring her for her response and she'll give him her answer when she's ready and he considers her decisions when he mentioned "if you like" means if she decides to start dating him is because she desire to start a love relationship with him: he never once forced her on anything: when Arata said the words of love to her is because he wanted Chihaya to know how he feels for her without expecting anything else in return ( if he only knew how much Chihaya feels about him, OMG I bet he will feel so delight once Chihaya tells him how she feels for him: so much that he won't stop from blushing, that's so cute!!!): and yes if they do have a kiss scene together is because Chihaya accepts Arata's feelings of love, they both will desire for that special moment when the time finally comes where their love will never be inseparable: OMG IT'S GOING TO BE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! XD ( I bet we are going to have the most passion romance scenes from Chihayafuru combine: Suetsugu-sensei is saving the best part for last: on the other hand, Taichi won't accept any answer from Chihaya but a "yes" like a must or else ( even if it's by force like what he did to her): that part he's wrong, especially that he wasn't thinking about Chihaya's happiness at all. Falling in love is about two people where their hearts are together as one no matter where they are and who they are with and there's no connection like that between Chihaya and Taichi at all. angelica89 said: sweetangie said: BTW, Angelica is my first name too, what a coincidence) :) "Angelica" is my favourite song of the group Anathema, since highschool it's been my nickname. | Konnichiwa! :) For a while I've been subscribing the comments on Mangafox (On spoiler thread I also saw you and didi_chan that you mentioned :D) There said Chapter 140 will be out on December 27, btw did you read Chap 139 on Raffmanga? Again all the girls make a fuss over Taichi and they think that Chihaya's starting to realize her feelings toward Taichi. However all I see that Chihaya feels guilty that she hasn't relized Taichi's feelings and made him suffer. She blames herself and now she's scared of playing Karuta. How could Taichi leave the girl he loves in that state? After all, Chihaya's rejection was not the only reason for him to quit the club. I hope she stops blaming herself. Angie, I watched your AMVs and I really liked this one: It's wonderful :) The song fits perfectly. |

| @ angelica89 Thank you so much for your comment about my AMV I made of Chihaya x Arata, I really appreciate how much you really enjoy this AMV ( even I was emotional while I was editing this AMV, at that time when ch 124 came out raw and yes ch 119 is the BEST, I REALLY LOVE THIS CHAPTER SO MUCH, IT'S WHERE ARATA SPOKEN HIS WORDS OF LOVE TO CHIHAYA THAT SO BEAUTIFUL AND MAGICAL!!!!). XD ___________________________________ What happened in the latest chapter (ch 139) I did expected Chihaya to become in depression after everything that happened with Taichi, that jerk how dare he made Chihaya suffer for his own selfish desires, he's destroying her happiness instead of obtaining and granting it). Poor Chihaya, I feel sorry for her, why Taichi left her in this state, always suffering by herself over something that doesn't respond to her because she haven't done anything wrong to deserve this, especially that he's the one who cause her to suffer just because she can't accept his feelings and he blamed everything on her of his misery, that's ridiculous, this shows that he doesn't love her at all and his actions proofs everything ( actions speaks louder than words) she's in so much pain that she's so scared of playing karuta is because she's blames herself for hurting Taichi, I mean how can Taichi expect Chihaya to respond his feelings if she's in love with Arata, Taichi shouldn't hold that against her just because she can't accept his feelings, he should just accept reality and move on ( he should look for a girl who meets his expectations that Chihaya can't give him). The only person I feel sorry for is Chihaya, so much that she compare herself to a rock who's only good in crushing others: her depression is keeping her not to see the good things, it's all negative thoughts that will make it worst if no one put a stop to it ( I believe it's Arata who will save her from her depression just like once she saved him: the power of true love can overcome anything). Yeah the next chapter (ch 140) is coming out by December 27th ( that day is my birthday) and let's really hope Arata will show up soon ( that will be our best Christmas present ever). So far we haven't seen him in his third year in his school and I'm so curious to see who will become his team members. I can't imagine how Arata will feel when he sees Chihaya became so depress, and this time I believe Arata will save Chihaya just like she once saved his from depression ( Arata experienced that before and I believe his words of encouragement to save her and she will see the light that represent her happiness shines her world again). Also about Chihaya seeing the karuta cards in the darkness ( here's the theory I believe it's going to happen): this is a possible spoiler: I believe that once she sees the "Chiha" card again, she will start to see things in a positive way after she now sees all the cards black, she will see her most special card different from the rest and I'm positive that won't change even now because it's important to her: she will now and forever see that card's light glowing deep red color ( the symbolism of her love for Arata and how important he is to her) and that sparkle light will represent the light of "hope" that will bring her back the passion and the purpose why she loves playing karuta the way she does: there she will find her true answer once she plays a match with Arata (plus if Arata does come to visit her in Tokyo and give her compassion she needs to bring back her world again that represents her main happiness) is where all her answers and feelings will become one: and she will treasure more karuta and finally realize her feelings of love for Arata in why she thinks and feels about him the way she does: because of all that, she can finally become her true self again ( OMG, I really hope this will happen). |

That's something I'm also afraid of: but I believe Suetsugu-sensei hardwork of showing Chihaya x Arata strong symbolism of their love for each other won't be a waste: that's where the main theme to the story lead to and that's something not even Taichi can't take away: Chihaya and Arata's love for each other is not something that could be toss away over night: and having Taichi stoled Chihaya's first kiss doesn't make him have the upper hand because her feelings for Arata is so strong that no one can take that away so easily. |

| There are some pointers that I really want share to everyone that’s so important that we should never give up what’s so important to Chihaya and Arata happiness to this wonderful story: Suetsugu-sensei really did a lot of research to symbolize how beautiful Chihaya x Arata's eternal love have each other that's already bloomed in their hearts) : that’s exactly what she is illustrating in Chihaya x Arata love relationship and their symbolism means perfect sense in all the analysis and signs we are currently seeing between them: sharing this important facts and symbolism that connects Chihaya x Arata's love to us fans that really meant a lot to us shippers and how beautiful their love connection really is that's expressing in their hearts. ( Arata fans from Mangafox showed these symbolism that connects to Chihaya’s feelings of love for Arata): Chihaya’s reactions towards Arata’s love confession: Ch 120: Where Chihaya was looking at the dove that glowing by the window: The dove symbolized mate for life, are incredibly loyal to each other and work together to build their nest and raise their young. Beginning with the Egyptians, the dove was as symbol of quiet innocence. To early Greeks and Romans, doves represented love and devotion, and care for a family. The dove was the sacred animal of Aphrodite and Venus, the goddesses of love and friendship. that’s exactly what Suetsugu-sensei is illustrating in Chihaya x Arata love relationship and their symbolism means perfect sense in all the analysis and signs we are currently seeing between them: wanting to maintain and improve their love even though they are long distance apart but always together in the heart and most importantly their desire to unite their love and to built a “family” together which means "marriage". All the clues and meanings does relate to Chihaya and Arata’s love relationship hoping to see the day when they can finally unite together with their bridge ( that also represents the karuta cards: especially their specials cards that connects their feelings for each other) will bring them together that means the world to them. Chihaya’s reaction after Arata’s love confession is so positive and pure: she even imagine that glowing dove as reflecting herself the light of her heart which symbolize love and devotion, and cares for a family: all of this connects : when Chihaya was seeing the dove she was seeing if the bird is glowing and happy because she going to have babies: it’s something she truly wants to share that desire in building a family together with Arata: ( having a glowing light represent the light that shines her happiness) http://www.mangahere.co/manga/chihayafuru/c120/21.html http://www.mangahere.co/manga/chihayafuru/c120/22.html http://www.mangahere.co/manga/chihayafuru/c120/23.html Poem# 6: Magpie Bridge: “Magpie” (The Magpie also represent their good luck charm to connect them together to strengthen the love energy: that’s so touching and their special bond connection carries so much meaning to their love and I believe they will end up together: Oh yes, Chihaya and Arata's love for each other is so positive and pure: let’s believe in Suetsugu-sensei symbolism that represent their eternal love for each other. Reference: http://chinesehoroscop-e.com/astrology/birds-in-chinese-culture.php Also at ch 138: in how she interpreted Arata’s words “let’s play karuta together then” as a proposal “let’s spend our lives together” wanting to always stay together with Arata: Chihaya reacted Arata’s words and reflected her heart that will bring her happiness and a new beginning towards her next chapter of her life:( so much that she even interpreted his words as a "marriage proposal" she already chose the person who she wants to spend the rest of her life with (building a future family together with Arata): this shows her feelings for Arata carries so much meaning in her heart ( Arata represents her other half): http://www.mangahere.co/manga/chihayafuru/c138/12.html http://www.mangahere.co/manga/chihayafuru/c138/13.html All these moments carries such a powerful meaning, which means Chihaya wants to marry Arata and have a family together, but now all her dreams and desires are now into the darkness where happiness is clouded. -_- Let's really hope Arata will go and visit Chihaya to have a one-on-one talk: I believe he's the only person who can bring back her passion self again: I believe the "chihaya" card will be the key: it carries which an important connection to her passion love for karuta and Arata: the glowing red light represent "passion"( dream: Karuta) and "love"( romantically: Arata). Everything will be settle once she brings back her real self again and she will open her heart to Arata: have I truly believe that Suetsugu-sensei message she’s getting to "true love always prevails" that's something we shouldn't worry because the facts are already here: it’s all matter of time and we are very patient to see this overcome happening: let’s all believe and trust our analysis based on the facts Suetsugu-sensei herself is showing us aren’t mistakes or misleads: it’s all attentional based on the main theme to the story. About Chihayafuru, as the chapters goes by, it’s convincing me more and more who Chihaya will chose in the end. :D |

| After what happened in ch 119- 145: all the signs we are seeing it's confirm what both Chihaya and Arata feel for each other is mutual love: everything what we are seeing with Chihaya's feelings for Taichi is all about guilt of smashing his feelings all this time and it's not her happy feelings of love that's reflecting out: she knows that she'll just continue to hurt him because she can't accept his feelings ( Chihaya just realize recently after Taichi's love confession, her heart already belongs to Arata the entire time the moment when she interpret Arata's word into a marriage proposal "Let's spend our lives together"). Also let's compare with the two poems of Chihaya's reaction after each of the guys' love confessions: Chihaya's reflection after Arata's love confession:(ch 120) Poem #43: Fujiwara no Atsutada I have met my love. When I compare this present With feelings of the past, My passion is now as if I have never loved before. Next Chihaya's reaction towards Taichi's confession:(ch 139) Poem #48: Minamoto no Shigeyuki Like a driven wave, Dashed by fierce winds on a rock, So am I: alone And crushed upon the shore, Remembering what has been. After we compare the difference, it's obvious when Chihaya was looking at poem #41 at ch 145 she's reflecting her deep feelings of love for Arata inside of her heart (especially now after she realize her love affections towards him is true) : while everyone are occupied about Chihaya rejected Taichi by him quitting the club, Chihaya's rumor of her love for Arata had gone far and wide ( nobody from the Mizusawa, not even Chihaya herself, even mention about Arata lately), while everyone should not have known, she had already begun to love him ( that's exactly what poem #41 is reflecting towards Chihaya's affection of romance hidden well inside of her). Poem #41: Mibu no Tadami It is true I love, But the rumor of my love Had gone far and wide, When people should not have known That I had begun to love. Soon Chihaya will open up her heart to Arata after they have their passionate match together ( hopefully at the Omi Jungi, where the place is "bright red" the symbolism of their love: so deep red like the "chiha" card: there she'll reply and accept Arata's love confession when he said " if you like, let's play karuta together then" OMG, WE CAN'T WAIT!!!!! XD |

| I think their feelings are mutual, too. However I can't help but think that it's obvious something is wrong in their relationship. Until now she has had many opportunities and been able to give an answer to Arata's confession. I think we can not make excuses like: "All she thinks is Karuta, there is no time for love." or "She is not ready." or "She has been busy with school and exams." Indeed, when it comes to that we clearly saw that she could quit playing Karuta, especially when Taichi left the club we saw that she could even forget about everything she dreamed about Karuta and her future. I feel like all Chihaya's love for Karuta and Arata is treated as a subplot compared to the execution of Taichi's unrequited feelings in this manga. I don't get why it's even called Chihayafuru, because it's not about Chihaya and her dreams anymore, it's all about Taichi. I believe that if the author really wanted to do it she could have spared more screentime for Arata but she chose to treat him as a side character, let's not deny it any longer. Speaking of which I can't really imagine Taichi being the future Karuta Meijin, he doesn't have those qualifications and what's more he even hates Karuta, it won't be appropriate. But I'm sure he won't be left empty-handed at the end either, even though she rejected him already, there is always this uneasiness... Anyways, I've decided to take a break from the manga. Lastly I wanted to say even if Arata doesn't become the Karuta Meijin or even if he doesn't get the girl it doesn't matter for me, I'll be supporting him until the end and I won't accept that douchebag Taichi as the main male lead. That's all. :) |

Based on Chihaya’s reactions towards both Arata and Taichi’s love confession we already know who she loves: Chihaya reacted Arata’s words and reflected her heart that brought her happiness and a new beginning towards her next chapter of her life:( so much that she even interpreted his words as a "marriage proposal" she already chose the person who she wants to spend the rest of her life with (building a future family together with Arata): while Taichi is all about guilt and suffering about her not noticing “his feelings” and it’s never about how happy she is knowing how Taichi felt about her: that never happened at all, not even now (and the worst part is his actions shows afterwards: forcing a kiss on her without caring about her feelings): where’s her happiness involve in all this?: Nothing. Her world was all of negative actions that’s if someone already took away everything she desires: it’s all about loneliness, emptiness and misery: it's all thanks to Arata, Chihaya started to gain more confidence to her own person again step by step after she received a text message from Arata saying he has a team and they'll meet at the Omi Jingu brought her encouragement. Maybe Suetsugu-sensei is focusing more of Chihaya’s reaction towards Taichi for crushing his feelings for the moment but it’s also showing us that Chihaya never developed feelings of romance towards Taichi to her heart: because since then we never get to see her happy and always depressed for hurting him: it's never about her loving him ( so much that she give up thinking about her own happiness because of it: her dreams and her affections for Arata were gone temporary in appearance) it’s never about her happy feelings that’s reflecting out. Chihaya’s reaction said everything who she loves without her saying out loud and whenever she thinks about Arata in regards to the poems; it's always a love poem: it's there for a reason and I truly believe when she was thinking about poem 41 she was thinking about Arata: there's no doubt about it. Arata is the only person who will make Chihaya the happiest: always is and always will be. Also, when Chihaya interpreted Arata's words into a marriage proposal carries a much stronger meaning then to have Arata say those words himself because it shows how much Chihaya desires to share her happiness together with Arata and if she does accept his affections, she'll respond to Arata when he said: "if you like, let's play karuta together" as in "yes" it also means she wants to spend the rest of her life together with him when she interpreted his words as " let's spend the rest of our lives together": aww, that will be so beautiful and romantic. I strongly believe that Suetsugui-sensei will follow through with her symbolism and themes will lead all the way to the story’s main climax. I completely agree, even if Arata doesn’t end up with Chihaya (which is unlikely it’s going to happen) and he doesn’t become Meijin I support Arata all the way, but I believe Arata will have a happy ending in the end: even though they are going through a lot of obstacles but love will always prevails. I really looking forward to see those expression coming from Chihaya and Arata’s faces when they get to play a karuta match: so many bright smiles/ blushes and compassion throughout their match from beginning to end. I truly believe their match will be the most memorable and most passionate match Chihaya and Arata will over have ( will turn out my most favorite match from this entire manga: the best chapters of this year I bet): it’s not only that they finally place a match together: it’s also because this match is the one and only opportunity they have to place a match together inside of the team tournament and most importantly; it took them six whole years for this important day to finally arrive: this will be very intense match and beautiful match indeed. :D here some my predictions in what's to come. I predict a lot incredible moments will occur during Chihaya x Arata match together. There Chihaya can finally express in what she’s longing for to tell Arata when they finally get to play a match together: when she said back in ch 11 (ep 06 S1)- I want to play karuta with Arata again. Karuta is fun! Having friends is fun! I want to tell him that. Chihayafuru is a song of a bright red love. -Chihaya Ayase, Chapter 11 I truly believe at Omi Jingu is the place where everything will blossom between Chihaya and Arata: that's the place where their passionate love and dream are as "one": Even Arata told Chihaya once this place is so "bright red" -Flashback- Chihaya: Arata! What's Omi Jingu like? They hold a bunch of tournaments there, right? You've been there a whole bunch of times, right? What's it like? Arata: It's bright red. The color that symbolizes their love for each other where the “Chiha” card represent their eternal love it’s the center of their strong bond for each other. Finally after their match Chihaya will have the courage to open up her heart entirely to Arata after she now sit across from him in a match and wanted to show him how strong she become in both her skills and her heart: something she said in ch 93 during the camping trip: “ I- I don’t have a boyfriend. But You know… until I get strong in karuta, I have no right to even sit across any person I might like anyway.” Sharing the same feelings with the one you like…. Arata…. I can’t even imagine…. But I would like to know… and from there, I really hope she can finally give Arata a reply from his love confession when he said: “Let’s Play Karuta Together then” OMG, just by thinking about is getting me all excite all over again, LOL!!!!!! >/////< I can’t tell you guys how extremely happy I am right now about this outcome: let's share this happiness together. This means, MORE CHIHAYA X ARATA MOMENTS HERE WE COME, GET READY EVERYONE, NOW IT'S OUR TURN TO GET OVERLY EXCITE IN WHAT'S TO COME!!!!>///< |

| Major Spoilers from ch 161-163 Well we already have Chihaya and Arata’s first match after six years of longing for this day: except for their match wasn’t what we expected: For starters, their match was inside of a team match but was effected me more from this match is how Chihaya was treating Arata for almost throughout the whole match. In the beginning of their match, noticed in how Chihaya doesn’t look enthusiastic or energetic about this match: when she voiced out her team she doesn’t seem happy or excite: it looked dull and dark like she was forced to play: wanting to get it over with without having fun (what she’s doing now is the complete opposite in what she said back in ch 11 or ep 06 S1 about her telling Arata wanting to play karuta with him again, karuta is fun! Having friend is fun! “Chihayafuru” is a song of a bright red love”: where all that went? Arata is also noticing that Chihaya is playing karuta out of love towards the game: she's not happy, enjoying nor having fun of her match: not only that, when she plays karuta is out of love in both the game and her own person (she’s only playing for the sake of her teammates and Taichi: her own part isn’t there because she’s no longer happy anymore: all the guilt Taichi place on her effected her so much that her love towards karuta had vanished ( It felt like it's her duty or obligation more than having fun and enjoy this experience to the fullest). For almost throughout their match Chihaya wasn’t looking at Arata at all: she hasn’t made any eye contact to Arata directly to his eyes (from ch 161-162): she'll always looking down at the cards the whole entire time and the only time she looked away from it was where she voiced out her teammates but she has a coldness in her eyes: her eyes no longer has that sparkle when she plays karuta. Chihaya is being disrespectful for not getting any eye contact towards her opponent (Arata), she still lack in leadership: as a leader she should set the example to the rest of the teammates to never look down on anyone (that includes your rival or opponent) and that’s what she’s treating Arata now, that's so sad. By seeing Chihaya's actions towards this match, I saw that all the happiness she felt in her heart is temporary gone by the guilty she feels for Taichi took everything that's so important to her. Now what I'm saying about her looking after teammates is perfectly fine, they too are important to her but the part I see right about all this is how she expressing herself: she felt not of love towards the game and her own person: Chihaya is no longer herself, her game is cold, her face is without joy or excitement, it's a face of someone who wants to win at any cost as her atonement for hurting Taichi all this time. Chihaya thinks she doesn’t deserve to be happy after what happened to Taichi: all the guilt is taking over her and Arata is paying the mess Taichi caused. :( Arata is very concern in her current state and wondering what had happened to her. Arata is so concern about her so much that he’s focusing on Chihaya a lot more than looking after his team throughout the entire match. Ch 163: For throughout the entire match: Arata was reaching out towards the "se" the first Chihaya took from Arata when they first played karuta together as kids: he's trying to contact Chihaya through his game play and telling her that "Chihaya: it's me" whiling her main focus was the cards the sound: she's forgetting her opponent who's also close to her. I'm so touched in what Arata was expressing throughout the entire game: I really love this line from him: Chihaya, it's me. The card Chihaya took from me on that day. The card that connect to today. This whole time, I wanted to take it back from you. the world isn't limited to the sound and the card only. THERE IS ALSO ME, RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. : OMG, I was in tears when I read this line from Arata: she's forgetting the most important thing. after she heard the "chiha" card as the dead card ( that special is not on the card field) she turned where Taichi is at from the crowd: she immersed back when Chihaya and Arata had their last match together as kids at Arata’s old room apartment: OMG, I actually cried at the scene where Chihaya looked at Arata directly in the eye: she when back in time at Chihaya x Arata final match at Arata's old apartment: Where she turned to Arata: he was smiling and the current Arata was looking at her: Chihaya is about to say something to Arata through her game play: Arata, I..., I... (I wonder what she was about to said when she said that.... in there, she's finally noticing Arata who was sitting across from her: and there she's finally enjoying with a warm smile while playing their match togteher ( where she's picturing herself enjoying playing against Arata now with a smile) :she said: “karuta with Arata... I can play karuta with Arata again”: We are finally seeing smiles between them and Chihaya finally playing karuta with joy: I really love seeing this wonderful atmosphere where she noticed that she’s playing a match with Arata ( her smiling and imagine the two of them playing karuta together in that old room apartment with Arata)…… …..but then when the Mizusawa team interrupted her only moment of the entire match she thought of herself playing her match with Arata: it’s so sad really in how she didn’t enjoy the fullest of this match when she finally was placed a match with Arata: who knows when she’ll have another opportunity like this one again ( hopefully at individual tournament). It's so bad timing for Chihaya and Arata to play a match together now when things aren’t so good for Chihaya: the only good thing that happened in this chapter is that beautiful brief moment of Chihaya x Arata and now we finally see the passionate Chihaya back. Overall results: Mizusawa won all five points/ East Fujioka have zero points: Arata lost both his match with Chihaya and his team:I'm not satisfied with the results: I'm not too upset that Arata lost but what upsets me the mostin how Chihaya was treating Arata for almost through the entire match: not a satisfying nor a happy match over all. Also noticed in how Chihaya wasn’t too happy when she announced her win of the match: deep down she’s feeling bad in how she didn’t put much enjoy of this match when she finally noticed that she’s playing a match with Arata ( her smiling and imagine the two of them playing karuta together in that old room apartment with Arata) then when the Mizusawa team interrupted her only moment of the entire match she thought of herself playing her match with Arata: it’s so sad really in how she didn’t enjoy the fullest of this match when she finally was placed a match with Arata: who knows when she’ll have another opportunity like this one again: let's hope on the individual tournament we will have the most passionate match between Chihaya and Arata and afterwards hearing Chihaya's words of love towards Arata after their match: I really hope this will come true: Suetsugu-sensei better not disappoint us with the romance aspects of the story. In the end it’s all Taichi fault for placing all that blame in the first place and she’s taking out of Arata of all people who has nothing to do with her troubles. It looked like she’s not too satisfied in the results of the match overall: it was her choice to think about her teammates before Arata- she got what she wanted and now she’s felt not too happy with the results after how cruelly she treated Arata for almost throughout the entire match. Overall this match turned out to be about the "Chihayafuru" team gathering instead of Chihaya x Arata ( I'm sure at one point they will have another match together that this time it's going to be all about them with the passion they both share through karuta and their loving hearts. ************************************************************* we have so much to look forward to: this is far from over: the real deal will start now after Chihaya got over her guilt and now she's back to her passionate self now: and this time no one will stop her from reaching out the happiness she desires together with Arata: let's hope Chihaya and Arata match will be settled on the Class A finals and this time we will get to see more smiles and blushing between them where the atmosphere will be cover with beautiful colors and showing maple leaves surrounding them during their match: Please Suetsugu-sensei give us their passionate match in what we all been waiting for in so long time: ( somehow Suetsugu-sensei has to make up to us after the previous match we just witnessed turned to be a disappointed- it was never about them anyways it's about reuniting Taichi with the rest of the Mizusawa team: it's about the team not about Chihaya and Arata themselves : by cutting their match short proves that it's not their only match we will be seeing between them: there's still more to come: OMG, YES I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!! XD I really hope Chihaya x Arata will have a passionate match together next time fro sure ( I really want to see more passionate moments between these two). I bet something will happen in the next chapters that will benefits us to make up for the results in what happened on their team match : I bet Chihaya will think about Arata even more than ever before: soon her love will burst to the fullest, lol. Let's stay positive and believe!!!!! |

| This forums discussion haven't been discussed for a long time now.. it's sad seeing it inactive ( it's making Arata fanbase really sad.... well, let's hope by the upcoming discussions will bring this place back to life again: Awesome news for all Arata fans: I really hope by this outcome in the manga will bring a lot more Arata to the story and seeing him A LOT more often than before: SPOILERS: ch 205- ch 205: Arata already won the entire match against Taichi ( 2 out of 1) in the best three tournament ( the after the East/ West qualifier tournament): now both Chihaya and Arata are competing in the Meijin and Queen Tournament ( I'm looking to see the next chapter: seeing both Arata ans Chihaya can walk the same bridge where they both can cross together by accomplishing their goal reaching out their passionate dream TOGETHER!! TO HOPEFULLY WE WILL GET TO SEE ANOTHER SCENE OF CHIHAYA X ARATA FINALLY!!! ( seeing them that their path are drawn closer to one another, and yes by this WE WILL FINALLY GET TO SEE CHIHAYA GIVE ARATA HER RESPONSE OF HIS LOVE CONFESSION: maybe after the Meijin/Queen tournament or even before that): After Arata won he give an emotional hug to Taichi thanking him for playing karuta with him ( that scene was touching). Arata already accomplish one of the four things he lacked after his defeat from Harada in ch 119: Heartlessness ( he already mastered it during his intense matches with his rival and friend Taichi, playing karuta with all his full potential, 100% merciless ( he unleashed his BEAST MODE in Karuta, it was awesome, LOL!!!!) looking at Arata's handsome angry look expressions always give me candy eyes, lol xD: now we need to see more of the other three things he lacks: which are: experience, passion and MOST IMPORTANTLY, LOVE!!!!!!!! ( WHICH MORE CHIHAYA X ARATA MOMENTS TO COME, BRING IT: WE CAN HARDLY WAIT!!!!!! XD |
