Who has seen this awesome anime? Admitedly, I just started it this morning. It's been hard to track down, but I'll make it easier for you guys.

Thoughts? Comments? Rants? Raves?

This, to me, is only behind Akira. I have questions about it though. I'm assuming its fully CGI, a lot like Appleseed (04), but sometimes its very hard to tell. I read that it's 50 bucks per DVD, which is a bit of a downer for me. I'd really like to actually buy this instead of being a big internet pirate, but if its that expensive, I probably won't for a long time...

I should have put this with the last post, but for those of you who have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, I give you the trailer for FREEDOM. Enjoy!

Watched my second episode of Freedom. It took me so long because I had to download a new player for it.

I didn't know this before, but apparently Freedom was paid for by the Nissin Cup of Noodles people. After all the product placement (I guess they have to have noodles in every episode or something), its easy to see now. I mean, I don't mind it one bit, because I happen to have their noodles in my pantry as I type, but I imagine that it could really annoy some people.

Freedom's Opening Song. Frickin love it. I believe it's Utada Hikaru, so that's probably why...

If only our commercials were that badass! I havent heard anything about it yet, but the character design does resemble Akira quite a bit. Ill definitely add it to my lan to watch list :)

I've been putting this one off because product placement sickens me. To think that Otomo has been reduced to making feature-length commercials for some trashy proto-food company, ugh. I'm not that keen on the idea of CG-rendered characters in his style, either.

Eventually I'll get around to it...

Honestly, there are very few placements of it in the show and they do not effect the story at all. I agree the CG is a turn-off at first, but it's really very good if you give it a chance.

I have only seen half this series. i cant seem to track down the second part of the series on dvd. i really like it because it reminds me of akira but the character design is a bit sad..i agree. however some things work really well like there body motion. there facial expressions are just a bit too hard to take.
