"I'll catch up with everybody soon. Take care."

With that being said, Shiro took off on one of the spare boats that Kuro's crew had on board while waving his hand. It only took a few minutes to arrive at his home island ... a place where nobody could rest ... the one and only Graveyard of Blades.

"Everything started at this island ... and there's about half of it that I can't remember."

Shiro couldn't scroll by the island leisurely. The very atmosphere exhibited from the presence of the weapons encircling the island felt staggering. It was a place that formerly housed the greatest of warriors - a place where death never failed to crept by your neck. It was kill or be killed, simply put.

Knowing all this too well, Shiro was fully-alert - He would pull out eight black keys, the maximum he can wield with his hands at a time, if danger ensured.

As he walked deeper into the center of the island, he continued to gaze on all the swords that he had seen. Such blades revealed such unrivaled beauty. It was a distorted sense of beauty that only a weapon-obsessed maniac would enjoy. Shiro would love to take as many swords as he wanted to, however, they would be too inconvenient to carry. What's more is that extensive experience and knowledge of the swords would be necessary in order to utilize their abilities - simple sword mastery doesn't cut it.

"Whew. Here at last ... Now to climb up."

Having arrived at the center of the island, Shiro was greeted by a moderately large sized mountain. The height wasn't impossible to scale for a human with great physique. It would only take a few hours to reach the summit.

In the past, Shiro had always gotten up close to the summit to gaze from the battles afar. He even continued his habits when he had lost his memories ... unknowingly. His body had been ingrained with the practice. The habit of climbing up and down during dawn had stayed with him even after leaving the island.

"Man ... What a beautiful sight! It certainly makes it worth the effort to have climbed up here," Shiro said as he stood there, isolated, while enjoying the view all to himself. He laid down and stared at the sky. Without noticing it, Shiro had fallen asleep.

It didn't take long before nightfall.

Waking up a few hours later, Shiro noticed the bright, full moon that sparkled in the sky.

"Being this late won't bond well with my crewmates. Better get back now."

As Shiro stood up, he immediately felt murderous intent from a few meters away (Observational Haki Use). In the night time, he could see nobody. This would be rather tedious to confront as it would take at least a few minutes for his eyes to adjust to the darkness.

Thump! Thump! Thump Thump Thump Thump Thump!

The sound of fast and heavy footsteps became louder as Shiro could feel the murderous intent, having been a few meters away, immediately arrive before him in a matter of seconds. With an intention of not backing away, Shiro slips out eight black eyes to arm himself - 4 keys with each hand.

A sword thrust aimed at Shiro's right leg landed immediately. The weapon was pulled out following its success in injuring Shiro.

"G-G-Guh!"

Taking notice of the cliff he was standing on, Shiro cautiously takes a step back. One fatal movement is all it'd take to fall down from the summit.

There was no time to figure out the intentions of beings that attacked Shiro. All Shiro was focused on was surviving the battle before him.

"That last attack had limited knockback, though my movements are now limited by the edges of the cliff and my injured right leg. Think! Think of a solution to deal with this ... !"

Another memory of a battlefield scrolled through his head. Right. How did those warriors fight in battle? How did they block and counterattack with such efficiency and power? There was a drive that every true warrior had within them.

"Drive ... Courage ... W-W-Willpower ... !"

This time, several dozen weapons were swung at Shiro. All of them had been from the different swords and blades of the island, though Shiro could not tell the length or sizes of the blades due to the inconvenience of the night.

"That's right. This was how I always fought - How could I have forgotten such a thing?"

Feeling the murderous intent head on, Shiro flexibly evaded the slashes with Observational Haki, only to suffer minor cuts on his cheek. The slashes would normally be more lethal, though Shiro had unknowingly used Armament Haki to shield from their wrath. Shiro's own warrior-like willpower and fighting style made him into a monster of the battlefield.

"Haa! Haa, Haa, ha ... !"

Shiro slashed. And cutted. And slashed. And pierced. And chopped. And hacked. And severed. And sliced. And cleaved.

"Hah .... !"

Zlopp! Flop! Zlopp! Flop Flop! Zlopp Zlopp Zlopp!

He could hear the sound of bodies hitting the ground. That terrible feeling. The feeling of falling onto the heavy, dirt-infested ground of defeat - It was one that Shiro had feared the most. He would not go down. Such a feeling would only destroy him instead.

Blood splattered and spilled around Shiro. His own cuts, from his shoulders to his abs, from his legs to his face, leaked out as well. These things may very well be the first to sight in a battlefield. However, there was something that would take on the attention of everybody watching - something far more interesting, thrilling, and devastating to look at: his eyes.

His eyes not only exhibited a lack in emotion, but also a lack of blood-lust in entirety.
Is this what you would call "unfettered"? He would fight. And fight. AND FIGHT! ... And survive.

His eyes were the only thing that stood there alive, in the battlefield after dawn.

"Ah ... guh!"

Shiro threw up some more blood. Every single body before him had been decimated.

No. One person stood before him. Just one remaining that stood before his survival.

Shiro's eyes had grown accustomed to the night at last. He could take a glimpse and see his last opponent that shrouded in the darkness.

"Y-You ..."

The entire atmosphere surrendered to the man shrouded in darkness. The Shrouded Warrior had no equals in the island. Though, despite this, he simply stood before Shiro.

"What ... are you made of?"

The question that resonates with the beginning of the past. Shiro still didn't know the answer

"I've finally found you ... at last. G-guh! T-Tell me ... Who I AM!" Shiro roars.

The Shrouded Warrior walks away. Shiro was not worth his time - Only warriors that surpass legends themselves can challenge this man. Despite that ...

"Haa!"

Eight Black Keys whipped out, with eight simultaneous slashes aimed at the man's head. Shiro went for an combination that guaranteed a kill.

All eight of his keys shattered in an instant. Shiro could hardly see how the man parried every single slash with two simple, twin blades that he carried - let alone the following slash he made to critically injure Shiro. The momentum itself was strong enough to hurdle Shiro hundreds of meters into the air. The man then disappeared without a trace while Shiro flew by the momentum carried in the wind.

"WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

After a few minutes, Shiro had crashed onto the ground. Using Armament Haki last second, he escaped the worst possible outcome: Death. When he woke up, he noticed he was at a strange location on the island: The Top of the Island's Largest Tree.

Though Shiro had many good glances from it from afar, he never did venture out to visit the tree itself as it had been under control by the faction that opposed him. The tree itself was quite peculiar as what grew out of it turned out not to be fruits, but rather ... swords.

The tree was growing swords. How absurd was that? Shrugging off his usual comfort for the trees, Shiro looked to get down. Wrapping the strong bark that the tree had emitted would be a good idea to stop the blood from continuing to leak. Before getting down however ... he noticed the one and only fruit that the tree had grown.

It was at the center of the highest point of the tree itself. The fruit itself had a number of what it could called ... small swords ... coming out of it. Is this what you call a Devil Fruit? No - Even as a devil fruit, it was incredibly unique. Unknowingly to Shiro, the fruit itself was on the same class as the Gura Gura no Mi. It is not only one of the most powerful, but also without a doubt, the absolute most versatile fruit in existence. What's more is that it was the one fruit that looked appealing or 'tasty' in Shiro's eyes, given his fond interest in swords. With a grumbling stomach before him ... He took the fruit and gobbed it down in one swallow.

Hono Shiro has consumed the 'Ken Ken no Mi.'

"Guh!"

What an idiot. He gobbed down a fruit MADE OF SWORDS. Small blades even slipped out of his stomach. However, the pain was excused by the incredible information of projection that through from his head.

"Judging the concept of creation ... Hypothesizing the basic structure ... Duplicating the composition material ... Imitating the skill of its making ... Sympathizing with the experience of its growth ... Reproducing the accumulated years ... Excelling every manufacturing process ..."

Such thoughts overwhelmed the injured man's head. Taking out two black keys, one on each hand, Shiro slide down the tree. After sliding down, he cut up pieces of bark and covered all his major wounds with them in an instant. He would have died had he not done this an hour later ...

He then started walking back to his ship, which was a few miles away. Shiro found whatever fruits he could and ate them for the quick energy that he needed. As he walked, more and more information overwhelmed his head and eventually leaked into his subconscious as he could not handle it with his current, weakened mental state. When he was by his boat, he managed to synthesize the information of the fruit's ability altogether. As he was sailing back to the ship, he finally attempted it.

This moment was his first attempt in projection.

"Trace ... on!"

Imaging the incredible Kanshou and Bakuya blades that the Shrouded Warrior wielded ... having synthesized all the information needed for success, Shiro attempted to replicate the blades using his newfound power."

Swords immediately struck Shiro from the inside out. This was the risk of using the ability ... to accidentally create swords from inside the body. This very thing would kill Shiro ... had he been alone.

"Guh! Haa ..."

Luckily, Shiro had arrived before the boat of his crewmates. He was pulled up as they saw that he could not climb up the ship on his own. As some of his crewmates frantically ran around the ship to grab the first aid kit, Shiro briefly laid there, staring at everybody.

"Sorry ... about that. I'm back."
