Who the person that knocked Barni off the bridge?
What if the Hokey Pokey is what it is all about?

Well it depends. It could be a nice twist if it turned out it was someone important to the story. But knowing for just knowing's sake is pointless.

What if it's Linda's brother's fiancée? She did seem rather suspicious, and what was the point to show that flashback. Then we have that dude who was watching Old Banri and Linda walk away after Linda talked to her brother's fiancée. I mean Banri did say not to look back when they were walking.

What if that guy got mad and decided to stalk Banri, and knowing he would be at the bridge the dude gets on his motor bike and runs over Banri. Then he leaves and Linda gets there shortly after seeing a bloodied Banri.

Well, if it was just an accident and the person isn't involved in the story now, it doesn't really matter. If it was an accident and the person is involved in the story at this point, then it does matter.

Unless these kids turn into the Scooby-Do group and start to investigate later in there LN, it would be meaningless. The driver would have probably been found out within the first year of after the accident, unless the investigators were morons.

You know, there isn't actually any indication that the police even KNOW that it was a hit-and-run! He was found under the bridge with his injuries caused by the fall and nobody other than he and the rider knew he was hit. If the rider hasn't come forward and he doesn't have any memory of the event, they probably were treating it as an attempted suicide. (That would explain why they were actively preventing people like Linda from seeing him in the hospital.)

What I got was that Linda was wracked with guilt about being late to tell him how she felt. She didn't have the courage to see him, thus the light signals, which I still don't know why she did that.

Well, I just figured the "light signals" were simply her flashlight hitting his window randomly as she used it to find her way to a spot where she could see his room on the side of the mountain. I don't think she was intending to signal him, just absentmindedly flashing a light in the direction she was looking. The number of times people have blinded me with flashlights accidentally suggests that this is not an illogical conclusion...

That would make sense. Didn't she do this for a few days?
