That was intense. Shame this was only 6 chapters...otherwise, I'd want to read more. (well, there is a bonus chapter coming in March I suppose)

Too quick of an end, basically the conflict was resolved with some chiding then the series ends.

I actually enjoyed it quite a lot. A lot of many-volume-long manga series can't get half as good as this in 6 chapters.

Tight and quick - there's no needles prolonging of the plot.

In short - excellent.

And in the comment attached to the 6th chapter Miura said he would want to continue this some day. So now at least we know what to expect after Berserk, which should be returning shortly (finally!).

I have to admit its a rather decent for a volume-long series. I'd give it a 3.5/5

Oh and there would be a bonus dialogue chapter right after this so yeah. something to dread or look forward to depending on this broken fandom... *smirks*

I actually liked this manga. Regardless of us seeing so little of it, the universe felt very rich and it's a shame we didn't get to learn more about this new world Miura has created.
Anyway, I really appreciated seeing something new from Miura. And how could anyone not at least love seeing his artwork?

I liked this a lot, as good an end as I had wanted to this, great shame it's only 6 chapters (plus bonus) long. Would rather he continue this than Berserk to be honest. Think I'm alone with that view though.

I hope this doesn't sell well so Miura can forget about this and go back to Berserk, otherwise he will just abandon Berserk since he seems to be so tired of it already.

I think this would have been a really good story if it was longer and more detailed, it had an interesting world and some interesting ideas as well but since it was only 6 chapters these things were just kind of wasted. Hopefully Miura remakes this some day but as of right now he should really get back to finishing Berserk before some pissed off fanboy loses it and decides to lynch him.

Anyways 6 out of 10 from me. I found it enjoyable if nothing else.
Now being incompetent – that’s what’s best, really. To be completely obtuse. To be so oblivious as to never think for a second about one’s purpose in life, to never think about the meaning of life, to never think about the value of life. Then this world would be paradise. Calm, peaceful, and serene. Trivial things would be major, and major things trivial, and life could be lived to its fullest.

I could not agree more.

This manga also suffers from the white savior complex (assuming Prome & Delos aren't Japanese). As if there isn't enough of that in the media...

This was well drawn, too short & Miura went moralizing, which didn't help his plot, characterization or much else

- 100,000,000 years into the future, and a warrior society's champion doesn't know anything about grappling holds and joint locks?

- If practically the whole army returns with weird memories, wouldn't someone suspect anything back at the empire?

Why not kill most of the soldiers then send a few back with altered memories?

- Why did Delos want to save the empire's soldiers in the first place?

It made sense after Prome said she would replace their memories, but did he know this or was he was going for the "all life is precious, even if you murder/rape/pillage your way across the natives" routine? Genocide a people then forget about it, cop out much?

- Why didn't Delos transform the moment the enemy appeared if Prome could sense them from so far? Why waste so many lives?

- If this is anything to go by, Berserk's already declining quality bodes ill.. or not.

I think Miura made his message pretty obvious, that if you want peace to start from somewhere, you have to be the first to make the sacrifice for it, despite everything that went before that moment. That's the core philosophy of Delos.

Also, like Miura said in the comment to chapter 5, he's paying homage to all the oldschool transforming super robot mecha animes, and the goody two-shoes main characters are prevalent there. And I also think he just wanted to make a character that's the opposite to what we usually find in Berserk.

I really don't know what people were expecting from 6 chapters. I think the syndrome of overly prolonged plots have confused some people. Because this story, in any other manga, would probably have taken an arc trice as much in length, without giving any other relevant information. And before someone says something stupid - a shorter, more concise and precise plot is better (at least in this kind of straightforward storytelling). So is mystery.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is better than Berserk or that everyone should like this, but considering the length, how plot and action packed it is, how much of an interesting world we saw in this short time, and that it is actually 99% self contained, comments like "it was bad" are somewhat...Bad compared to what?

well obviously people are comparing this to Berserk, which is rather baffling to me tbh. Like what Wind_Falcon said, this is just a simple, straightforward story, nothing more. Plus this is just a project to celebrate his publisher's, 'Young Animal' 20th anniversary, so this is just Miura saying "thank you" to them for allowing his work to be published until now.

Like what Miura had commented in a few of the chapters, "It's not like I quite Berserk or anything" and "....I don't just make it up as I go along!"

So stop acting like some whiny boy/girl and just appreciate what he had made. cheers.

Who says I don't appreciate what he has done so far? I own all the volumes of Berserk.
Miura is just the kind of author who likes to take his time and not force things, he doesn't want to release shitty chapters BUT that doesn't force me to like the way he's doing things, the waiting is killing me.

Well the art was great, but the story was kinda cliche. I really like the details and creativity he put into the world though. I'd like to see more of this someday... you know after he gets off his lazy ass and finishes Berserk. 7/10

Btw why does it say there are 7 chapters? Is there another chapter after the 6th that is yet to be translated?

When Berserk finishes, I'd like a re-do of this series but more drawn out. That's be swell

^This. While short, I did enjoy this. Everyone should just stop complaining and be grateful for what they have -_- Damn leechers.

Also, I saw Gatcha there, or was that just the translation I read? And that Ikaros Fall must've been a reference to something, I just don't know what.

A simple story, but surprisingly entertaining. The art as always was top notch.

The final attack was 100% pure epicness. The second part settled things fairly, good to see it didn't feel rushed. My only doubt is: the clan didn't know about the change of memories. Prome said to them they'd have lost their memories about the place, just that... but now that it comes to my mind, even if the clan killed every soldier, there were still possibilities of a future attack. Guess they all knew that wasn't a definitive solution. And now, to the bonus chapter.

Really loved the two-page spreads during the final part of the battle.
Then it went into some philosophical stuff, which I can be fine with sometimes, but here it just felt SUPER pretentious and hamfisted...
I still don't care much for our two main characters, either, here's hoping they don't play a big role in the bonus chapter.

Very, very underwhelming ending. I'm not a fan of "Deus ex machina saving the day" trope, especially when it is presented so naively as it was presented in Giganto Makhia.

Sadly, apart from awesome looking art, this show has nothing more to offer, to he fair.
