Looks like new OP song...

Anyways, idk how I feel about this. I actually liked the previous song better. Well, it was a beach episode and we get a lot of Hana. Episode felt really slow though but I gotta say, Hana is pretty daring. No kiss, oh well. New ED song is alright I guess.

New OP and ED time.

Trip time, lol @ his room being half separated/half together with Hana. So lucky. Not sure why she cried, though. She got lots of guys' attention on the beach. Her confession but then rejecting him...

The pair got scolded by their boss for acting on their own.

Surprised attack, and Hana saves the day. When they are not ready for battle at all and that happened.

Target being Hana next and 26:08 again.

That was... bad.... ._.

I mean okay.. I expected it to be worse but... that was still terrible...

They finally revealed something new about Hana that may have brought actual... SOMETHING to her character. She loves Daichi, ya no shit we know, we knew that since like episode 2. The entire episode she was nothing but a moeblob fan service as usual, then we finally get some depth to her, and then all of a sudden...

BOOM, THRILLS, EXCITEMENT, OMG AN ASTEROID IS COMING, HOLY CRAP WHAT WILL WE DO, WE GOTTA SEND THEM RIGHT!? WHAT!? ITS TOO LATE!? WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN THEN!!?

...And Hana saves the day with BS beam cannon powers that came out of no where with no foreshadowing whatsoever... I... I... Does this show just, want me to hate it or something? The pacing was all over the place, the character development felt forced and pretentious, the only good thing in this episode is Giovanni calling Team Rocket incompetent which got a quick chuckle from me.

I mean at least the plot moved forward and it wasn't just some pointless filler episode, but geez...

After those 2 fantastic episodes, its like the series is going, "Hey remember what good looks like? No? Heres something to remember it." *Shows Baku Episodes* "Now back to the regular story. With fan service, awful pacing, more questions than answers, and problems that are built up in an episode only to be resolved in the same episode with either an uneventful fight or a BS asspull power that comes out of no where."

Wow.. Might have exploded too much there... The new OP at least promises cool mech battles in the future, but the song and visuals really aren't as good as the first OP, the new ending is alright.

Edit: AND ANOTHER THING. The stupid melodrama between Daichi and Hana where she thinks he will hate her is completely forced and nonsensical. Of course Daichi won't care that she is different, he doesn't care that Teppei is different, why the fuck would he give a shit about her being.. just... ugh.... All it does is slow the show down... We already know they will likely get together in the end, or maybe she dies in the end or something, so I just feel like this drama is pointless.

That was an ep with some real shit happening compared to what I thought when I saw a beach ep coming :O

The OP wasn't bad. Ofc prev was better but that was top notch and really difficult to beat :P I wonder who is the pilot of the red mecha in the OP? I liked the new ED a bit more.

Hana was hot in her Mizugi <3 and Daichi's reaction to being in the same room was so lol XD Lol'd at Akari expecting Daichi to come complain to her XD

Akari and Teppei are really trying to help HanaxDaichi XD

Good job Teppei, telling Daichi about the good night kisses XD

And Akari asking if she likes ChocoMint or Captain. It was adorable how she answered Captain right away <3

Hana's confession while crying was cute. It was sad too :(

I wonder what the real her she doesn't want Daichi to know?

New opening is alright. (Same quality as the previous one).

Daichi's reaction to the connecting rooms sharing with Hana. XD
Nice setup. Definitely Akari's work!

Hana fanservice are never bad. :p
Loved how Akari got the answer out of her regarding what she likes by comparing ice-cream with Captain. XD

Strategic meeting between team Kiltgang and Puck. Conspiracy against Kube behind the scene is decided.

Kiss denied. Hana doesn't want Daichi to know her real self. O.o

Damn. Hana was awesome with that Blume beam, destroyed Legacy precisely before it hit the ground!
1 finger is all it took. She's a boss!

Good episode. New ending is decent. Not much screentime for Akari though. (._.)

Next episode: "True Self"

Akari is always prepared to do other stuff :P
The grin that she had xD
The rooms being connected and Captain having to show restraint!
The melody played when Hana cried!
I feel bad for Kube for him not knowing anything.
Hana using Orgone beam to save the island. A new development! Just past this and the two can get together!

Yup. That was easily the most annoying part of the episode.

I thought it was going in a different route with the telepathic kiss and crying(or maybe/hopefully they'll just touch on it later). Since she only kisses him when he's asleep I thought she was crying due to seeing a glimpse of his dreams, where he was having nightmares about his dad or something. But it seems like it was just a lead in to the whole "No my true self is horrible I can't let you see even a glimpse of it" melodrama that we could all do without.

Well this is the first Beach Episode I ever that has a lot of everything (well maybe not since Another's beach episode was not full joy either).

The Humour was nice, the fanservice decent, the plot advances as in Amara and Moco are tired of Kube, Puck shows his colours more clear and Kube is likely to appear more now.

Anyway the Hana drama, was a bit sad, not gonna lie, seeing her cry really is sad to watch. The whole you will hate me if you know who I am, thing is cliched indeed. Alas Hana is different from the rest of the Kiltgangs I mean, isn't she a living weapon? If so there may a lot more to Hana than we think. Which clearly is the case with how she blew that.

Still I gotta praise Amara and Moco, they are daring enough to send a freaking massive satellite down right to Earth to kill Globe wtf? Those guys really lack restraint when it means going nuts.

Anyway what attracts me from this is that Hana is AT LAST getting some development. Now she's gonna flee and with Setsuna, so finally the two core characters are gonna get deserved development as Amara and Moco pursue them.

I wanna see where that ends.

PS: I liked the new Opening, the new video was good.

Three reasons:
1. I am a fan of animation first and a fan of anime second; this is some truly stellar art and there is an argument to be made that it is worth watching because of that alone.
2. You should always give shows a chance to improve
3. You can't fully appreciate good anime unless you take the time sit through some that are truly terrible

Right, because we see things differently, we've automatically lost all rationality and are in need of pity. Lol, get over yourself. I've seen this happen far too many times in anime to not get annoyed by it. Where one character simply assumes their close friend will hate them for a peculiar trait that they have without even telling them about it, when all signs indicate otherwise, and by that point they should already know their friend well enough to realise that they wouldn't think any differently.

But apparently because I think this, I'm an irrational hater. Lol...

Ok. That new OP pretty much gave away the plot.

There are 8 Designers Children plus the Princess.
For some reason 6 of the children had their memories repressed and only came to remember that they were aliens from a different planet later on. One DC, Teppei has already defected to the "good guys" side, probably because he was affected by Teppei somehow when he was a kid. Same could be said about Hana the Princess. Given that they both knew their origins way before the start of this war of sorts, I doubt that they can be "turned" into evil aliens with a kiss, seeing as they seem to be moving of their own free will. The last DC, Setsuna will definitely become a KillTGang (did you see that pic of her in the OP? Her Kill-T-Gang looked so Badass!).

Hana is about to get her very own Robot (that red one in the OP) to fight along with Daiichi and Teppei's. Apparently that Red Robot is gonna be a long ranged type too (two big laser cannons on the shoulders).

This episode wasn't truly bad. I found the character development decent. What was bad and contrived was Daiichi and Hana's "relationship". Truly horrible scripting.
First, Daiichi does absolutely nothing to comfort her when he wakes up and she's crying in that chair next to her bed. She runs back to bed and all he does is "oh well, lets go back to bed". Seriously?
Second, same scene and this time Daiichi picks up his balls from the trash can and actually ASKS her whats wrong. Hana gets agitated and yells at him, he gets sort of saved by the emergency call, but never in all his time even after that call does he press further about what Hana's problem is. Oh yeah, we can totally see you REALLY like this girl.
Third, after the big Blume Blast that obliterates a space satellite, Hana gets scared of Daiichi and runs off, and he just LETS HER?!?!?!

Yeah dude, I can totally see you have the hots for this girl, specially when you don't give a rats ass when she's (a) Sad, (b) Agitated, and (c) obviously upset and in need of comforting. Are you a freaking GUY?!?! Do you even have any BALLS?!?!?!

I keep waiting and waiting for something to happen in the next episode that will make Daiichi despair and maybe grow up a little... thus far I'm still waiting.

Hopefully it'll happen in the next episode because I sure as hell want to see the look on his face when he loses something precious.

You're just assuming it is something superficial like a "peculiar trait" when it could be a lot more deep than that, it could endangering to say the least, since the only thing we know is that Hana is an alien too, but she isn't exactly the same as the Kiltgangs so there may be way more differences than you think it to be.

Then again you think it is the thing you've "seen so many times in anime". You may be right and the end product may be cliched and something superficial, but it may not be such, so you're being prejudical. Perhaps not a hater, but you did rush your judgment a bit imo.

I'd recommend you wait and see what happens before downright claiming this is some overused shit, as it may develop in other ways and hey, for a change Hana and now Setsuna are getting more importance, so that can sell. Also if we're going to criticize every "cliche" or "used archetypes" by now every Japan media should have been wasted.

Based on the previous episodes, none of the Designer Children had their memories to begin with. It happens that when Macbeth Enterprises was involved on a major scandal that 6 of them, including Teppei were released from them and then they each went a separate way (forcefully at that). Amara and Moco were on another place so they avoided captivity but Amara awoke to Amarok thanks to Kube and then ravaged the moon and killed Taiyou. And since Amara and Moco had an habit of kissing each day due to their ability to share memories, since Amara had his memories and presumably kissed Moco, she got her memories back too, which is why these two lead the Planetary Gears.

Teppei did not really have his memories as far as I understand, he only knew he could make a weird rainbow and that he was confined and that's it. Only when he became Albion he got his memories back but got a sort of identity crisis until Daichi told him he belonged there.

As far as Hana's case goes, she was created by the Kiltgangs as a living weapon, so we can assume she works differently. I cannot say that she' gonna pilot the mecha, if anything and from what I could understand of the new opening, is that Hana is gonna be kidnapped and play a more pivotal role like Setsuna. The new pilot could be Teppei's genetic donour or by a random chance it could be Daichi's father too for an unknown reason, who knows?

I do agree that Daichi was portrayed really cowardly on not doing shit for Hana. Then again he just got a lot of info at once and maybe he feels he does not know how to reach to her without knowing what the hell is going on. After all, and realistically speaking, you cannot say "I'm not gonna hate you no matter what" if you really don't know what the hell is truly going on.

That would be very deep. Not gonna lie I would like that a lot if they actually delved into that sort of thing. The thing is, nothing in the series as of yet has shown me so far that Hana is this extremely deep and depth filled character. Normally I would say it's because there aren't enough episodes to decide, but it took half the freaking series to start actually developing characters? Idunno.

As for people saying I am a hater, I admitted in my post that I was glad it wasn't just a typical filler beach episode and that at least the plot moved forward.

I am not dead set on hating this show. I LOVED the last 2 episodes. Saying you pity me because I criticize a show, if the show indeed surprises me somehow and shows me that Daichi will in fact hate Hana for whatever the hell she is and it is completely logical and worth my time watching, then sure, I will apologize to the show.

As I see it though, this has been done again and again not only in anime, but in romances all over the place. THIS SHOW ISN'T EVEN A ROMANCE, THERE IS NO ROMANCE GENRE. Not that there can't be romance in a non-romance anime, sure there can be. When it is forced like this though, where I see there being no point in bringing this senseless drama, then all it does is slow the show down for no reason.

To counteract your statement. I will in fact use your logic.

Ìt seems you are already dead set on defending this show for everything it gets wrong and will like it regardless of how good or bad it actually is without thinking rationally.

That is what you sound like, except the opposite.

I do not knock people who enjoy a show the same way I do not knock people who hate a show I personally think is good. To say you pity me for having a different view of what is going on though is ridiculously arrogant and stupid.

I would actually respond to you nicely and give you a proper response, but that last statement really sold me on the fact that you just can't stand other people having different views than you do.

I will however admit, that I may have sounded a tad too angry in my first post, so I apologize for that, but I still think this episode is completely awful from a story and character standpoint.

Mod Note: Ad hominem removed.

Where one character simply assumes their close friend will hate them for a peculiar trait that they have without even telling them about it, when all signs indicate otherwise, and by that point they should already know their friend well enough to realise that they wouldn't think any differently.

But apparently because I think this, I'm an irrational hater. Lol...

You're right, I did rush my judgement, but only due to exasperation because as I said, I've seen this kind of thing happen so many times that I've pretty much lost the patience for it. I'm not gonna drop it, and as you said I'll wait to see the end product, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.

That's fair enough. You may be right and this may end cliched. Hopefully for both of us, it does not end that way.

Hana is probably the only reason I watch this show anymore, hopefully we get to see more of the "Bear" guy.

"This finger of mine glows with an awesome power! Its asspull power tells me to defeat you! Take this! My awkward teen love, my self-anger, and all of my forced melodramatic sorrow!"

"SHINING FINGER!!"

...come on, I couldn't have been the only one thinking it.

New OP is not as impactful as the first, but it's Nico Touches the Walls! And ED, I recognized ryo's composition right away, as well as Tia's voice when she started singing :D Was hoping to hear more work from Egoist but Tia's great too.

Aside from that, this was an...interesting episode. I was really expecting any romance drama, I thought that Hana would be crying for a different reason. But maybe we don't know what her being a princess really means. Yet at the same time, Daichi would never hate anyone just because they're different. At least she looks human? I guess next episode is Hana focused, which will probably finally give her time for character development, hopefully. And we'll also get to see more of Setsuna, who hasn't appeared since around 2 episodes ago.

That was... bad....

^Pretty much this in a nutshell.
Other than that, the opening was 'meh' but I did love the ending way more than the first one.

That romantic subplot melodrama makes me cringe (so does the fanservice)...

Well that came out of nowhere...Wouldn't that "power" have been useful in some of the other episodes? That's a bit of a plot fail if you ask me.

The melodrama was a bit too much too. I mean, come on..as if the Captain wouldn't accept her like she is.

Well new op is terrible. ED is okay, I guess.

And I'm kind of curious as to where they're going with this Hana thing!
