| Metallica, yes! Though I mostly only listen to like 6-7 songs from them... but that's much more than most bands, and I really really like the way they sound on those songs. I like music, but I dont think of myself as a music buff at all. I just like good sounding music. Often times the feelings that go with music, especially soundtracks, is very transient. It comes as quickly as it goes and you (or I at least) can't nail it down and keep it in your pocket. And I treasure it because of that. I have trouble actually finding music to listen to a lot of the time. It has to come to me, instead. I recently was talking to someone else about this and they completely disagreed with me. Which was pretty interesting to me. I wish I was able to hold onto some of the feelings music gives me and open them whenever I want to listen to that sound, but it just doesnt work that way for me. aaaand that's why I can't really deal with any throat-music-shoving-action (sounds hot). But that's just me :D |

| I must say I can relate to your friend. Although I'm not musically trained I love dissecting, exploring , and can easily articulate what I feel in the music. However with that said, I totally get where you are coming from. YouTube comments in particular are the worst case of 'music snobbery' which is why I found myself here (also thanks to my new found interest in anime), cause ya'll so nice! :D |
| Personally, on the side of "normal" music, I really like AC/DC's or The Rolling Stones' music. On the side of "gamer" music, I love pretty much anything from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker or Fire Emblem. I often don't move when a music starts to listen to it to the end. |
