| Haven't read it, but it's just a prequel? I was hoping it would go to places beyond the anime, since apparently that barely scratched the entire story of the novels. |

The anime covers the first three volumes and a little of the fourth. The manga takes place in 1927 (the first volume does anyway). If you love Baccano, I strongly recommend reading both the light novels and manga. |
