@ kathi : I can't believe I miss some of the good points you said about Kaname. I totally agree with you when you said about Kaname using his friends and abonding them. I think he shouldn't even deserve them. (or they shouldn't even be with him just because he's a pure blood, or at least think their friends)

+First of all, I hate him because he was Zero's rival.
+I was a truly HUGE fan of Zero!

+He was the person who always get in the way whenever Zero
get chance to be with Yuuki!

+His appearance were too messy with untied long hair. Urgh!

+He doesn't have any good requirements being a suitable boyfriend for Yuuki
even as a candidate!

I was referring to the main fanbase, which is the Japanese one. & in the end, that's only fanbase that's opinion matters, they could give a crap less what people over seas think :/ & I thought that the poll that zeki won in was taken before, uh, you know what happened (don't feel like putting a spoiler tag here lol)? I was told that after that zeki lost a lot of fans in Japan cause

Although, if they really are still more popular and I was given false information, please let me know. It'd make me very happy to know that it's still the more popular pairing with the main fanbase~
I'll agree that zeki seems more popular with the overseas fanbases though, although as I said they don't care about us >__<;;
I respect Hino-sensei as well, she inspires me a lot and is one of my favorite manga-kas. and it always seemed to me like she was the type who would go about the story how she wanted, regardless of what the majority wanted. However, in the end the whole thing is a buisness after all, unfortunetly. If you go with what the minority wants, you lose money. So most manga-kas go with the more popular, even that wasn't what they planned from the beginning :[ Sad fact, but it's sadly true. And even if Hino-sensei herself wanted go against majority, her editor could very easily refuse the idea. They have a lot of say in the matter, and there have been cases where an author will want to do something with their story and the editor is basically like "no, if you do that I lose money so I will not allow you to". D:
Yeah, I heard that thoery too quite a bit. I like the way someone put it. To quote (cant remember who it was :/) "doesn't it feel like she's stuffing our faces with massive ammounts of kanaki now to prepare us for when they go their separate ways?" I really like that thoery. It makes sense, since the whole entire story has been revolving around them lately... so I do think it's possible that's what she's going for. Or, at least I hope so anyways. Or something along those lines, at least. It kinda amuses me, how alot of the kanaki fans are like convinced that it'll have a zeki ending, and visa versa lmao. Just like a lot of Zero's fans are convinced he's gonna die in the end, whereas a lot Kaname's fans are convinced he's gonna die. lol, we're all a tad bit paranoid aren't we? xD although unfortunatly I'm one of those people TT;;
hmm, I think that if they don't end up together then all the kanaki moments now will be worth it in the end. But where the story stands right now, it bothers me when he touches her. a lot.
Took out long wtf-ness that was orginally here. It was my way of responding to "only supporting zeki for Zero's sake" but..well, read my 2nd edit down there. this is the only part i left in:
I LOVE tragic romances <3 wayyy too much for my own good, actually lol. So all that did was fuel it. A lot of people say they love Kanaki now because it's "forbidden and tragic" but...it's not. At all. Sure, in real life it would be. BrotherxSister? Hell yes, that would be extremely forbidden and tragic. However, the way the story is set up it's the exact opposite. Everyone expects them to be together. They're "destined" for eachother. She was born for the sole purpose of being his bride! I don't see how that's the least bit tragic, personally.

I'm gonna save it in a word document, so if anyone is honestly that curious to how i would go about explaining myself, ask and I'll send it to you. (<said cause one of my friends is getting a MAL and they'll probably want to see it. So no, I do not really think that some random person on the internet is going to ask so stop laughing now TT.) I left in the whole thing about the so called "tragedy" of kanayuu though, just cause it's actually something of use.

(in response to your 'yuuki killing kananme with her own hands' thing) lol, I've always loved that idea. as unlikely as it may be but meh :/ I actually wrote a fanfic after chap 52 where Yuuki kills Kaname with her own hands and ends up with Zero xDDD Never posted it online though, cause I was scared how people react o__o it was fun to write though ~
hmm, i wonder then. I would be curious which pairing would win now if they retook the poll. I'd love to see what the Japanese fanbase is thinking on the whole thing. Although I was told the KanaYuu is the more popular one now :| Wonder how reliable my source was lol.
I buy too~ but unfortunatly, not many people overseas buy. Most of them just read online and say "sorry i have no money" which is why the main fanbase gets all the attention xD;; they get all the cool special edition stuff, and they also get all the manga-ka's attention. They could care less about us, since all we're there for is a little bit of pocket change. Most of them don't even know which characters/couples are more popular with the overseas fans cause they don't care enough. + you'd be suprised how much say the editor gets haha. Well, actually, I'm not sure how it is with manga now that I think about it... but in TV, books, anything of the like, the editors get a lot of say in the matter. If they hear that a certain couple is popular, then the writer says they're planning to have a character in the popular couple end up with someone else, they do have the abilty to refuse it. If they really wanted to, they could basically control the whole story. I wouldn't be too incredibly suprised if it was the same in Japan.

YES! finally someone points out the stupidity of completely random girls suddenly thought of as Zero's new love interest xDDD there's a new one practically every chapter! last chapter it was that random vampire chick, this chapter it's Yori... I'm always just like *facepalm* >< seriously people, if you're going to be so convinced that he has a new love interest, at least give some legiminite reasons already! at least Yori makes some logical sense, i always lol'd at all the vampires. Makes no sense, it's like, okay, zero can't be with yuuki cause she's a vampire. so who should he be with now? oh! I know! lets put him with another vampire! wtf x| wouldn't that make him not ending up with yuuki completely pointless? *facepalms again* but even Yori doesn't make any sense, how did they suddenly come to this conclusion anyhow?!
& lol, it's not even like they're just scared their favorite character's going to die, a lot of people are outright convinced that if someone's going to die, it's DEFINETLY going to be their favorite and there's no way that the other one's going to die. which is why I say we're paranoid. being scared they're going to die would be normal, being outright convinced is just getting to be on the paranoid side imo.
meh, i'm used to disliking the female lead. i usually do. the sad fact is that I can never bring myself to quite say I hate them, but I can't love them either x.x i get annoyed at them, but i can't even quite bring myself to really say i dislike them. it's like i can't make up my mind whether i do or not lol. I hate him because his love to Yuuki is the only thing that makes him a character. Other than that he's just a figure behind a mask of mysteriousness. I guess that's not what the author intended, but we don't find out anything about him, not even his intentions, until half of the manga passes. His thoughts are never really presented, so even though it looks like he loves Yuuki, that annoying smile makes it look like he's plotting something. I's almost impossible to relate to him until it's revealed that he really does love Yuuki, and then he goes and takes her liberty away, locks her up and acts like she's his doll. I didn't really like Yuuki before her change either, bun now she's even more passive and worthless thanks to him. Plus, Zero hates him, so that's enough of a reason for us to hate him too, right? ^^
