| It's also really terrible in terms of quality - and it's not just being an anime snob or anything. It's rushed, even at 2 week intervals, and they are already cleaning up episodes for the DVD releases. The scenes they've shown that have been cleaned up already look 100% better, so it's utter bullshit that scenes are going out with the wonk-faced sailors and the crap backgrounds. And even if you give it the benefit of "lack of time to animate" - the story isn't compelling. The art saved the manga, the story saved the original anime. The original manga plays out akin to the new series, but was lovingly drawn and had a unique style to it that gave it a lot of passion. This rushed series undoes all that by having shitty art, so you're stuck with a tepid story. Sailor Moon is a story that could be better. The original anime works on that premise - it has passable art and animation and cuts corners in the right places - tranformation sequences and reusing attacks - because it spent its time and effort expanding the characters and giving them depth. The old anime is a much better story than either the original manga or the new anime. Manga was like 10 on art, 4-5 on story. Old anime was like 10 on story, 6-7 on art. The new anime is 4-5 on story, 4-5 on art. That's why it sucks. |

"Omg, you're watching the dub and haven't gotten the full series subbed yet?" type discussions. |
| I'd say in terms of overall penetration into the American psyche, original Sailor Moon anime was as popular - if not more popular - than Attack on Titan is/was recently, but did so for a loooong time. If more Titan comes out and it keeps up the momentum it'll be similar, but until then, Titan might just be a blip. |
| I remember when people thought Sailor Moon was a cartoon and didnt know what anime was. Also Sailor Moon was way more popular than Attack on Titan. It would be better to compare it to Yu gi Oh or DBZ in the states. |

| I am still watching it and enjoying it! I couldn't stand the original and thought it was cheesy girly BS! Gave the re-make a chance and I am actually enjoying it much more than I expected I would! Bi-monthly airings doesn't bother me one bit as I have so many other series I watch in a season this is one less I have to keep track of weekly as I knew ahead of time that it was only airing twice a month! |

I don't think it has anything to do with your post either, and he felt offended because yo told him so... talking about dense. And anyway, stats show Watching: 28,931. Most of those people don't participate in forum discussions, you know? I bet there is a lot of people who do enjoy the series and really like it but can't be bothered to go against haters. I like the new version, it's not the old one but it's good anyway. In my case, I got bored after only reading about how bad it was compared to the old version and the manga, so now I just talk about it with a friend who watches it and lives nearby. I think the biggest problem of this new version is that people remember something great and amazing from 15 years ago, and with time our perception changes, when I was 6 I had no idea what it meant to have a bad animation sequence nor had I a problem if they messed someones uniform, now I notice it, but oh well, I'm still enjoying it and remembering how in love I was with Serena and Darian as a kid (Latinamerican names). |

| I dropped it while watching episode 13 when it aired. It's just way too boring for me, I don't want to bother with any longer. Why am I even here. Honestly I'd rather just rewatch the original TV show. I'm buying the new DVD sets anyway. |

| I'm an old fan, but I've also enjoyed the new one so far! I recently finished all the new episodes. Pluto is my favorite. ^-^ |

| Watched 4 episodes when it was released, kinda got bored, I'm "rewatching" it now, mostly because I saw an Youtube video about Sailor Saturn and she is my favourite and I hope they don't do her dirty this time. |
