The MAL Page doesn't tell much and also it has aired much later than the first season. Is there still a direct connection between them? What's the basic story about? Is it subbed? Is it available?

Thx for any information on this!
I probably regret this post by now.

Anyone know anything yet? I'm currently watching the first season and I'm really interested in the second season, even if they aren't related.

I found it months ago after I finished Mirai Shounen Conan on an anime torrent site, but I can't find it now. I have it on my pc and I'm watching it now. It's not subbed and it doesn't have anything to do with the first series so far. To be frank, I think they put "Mirai Shounen Conan" in the title just to cash in from the success of the original. I'll try to find the site where I got it from again, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link here in case I find it.

EDIT: I found it. Send me a PM if you're interested in watching it.

I would honestly stay away from the sequa of future boy conan, it is led by an entirely different staff and director and doesn't even come close to being similar to the original in story or characters. It was honestly an attempt for a pretty unpopular director to cash in on the widely successful popular series and try and create a sequal out of it. But it failed pretty miserably. Jun Takagi was the guys name
He did the exact same thing for No body's boy Reimi, another failed attempted at a sequal of an masterpiece series of the late 70's.

The original Future boy conan is helmed by veteran animators, Hao myisaki and Iseo Takahata.

Pretty sure neither this and especially not the Ie Naki Ko remake where Remi is a girl instead of a boy, are direct sequels of their 'predecessors'.
Also your feedback is appreciated but I do want to from my own opinion if possible so I'd still like to actually watch Future Boy Conan 2.
I probably regret this post by now.

I don't mean sequels in terms of story line or directly connected. I just mean in terms of the series. Like Final fantasy II is the sequal of Final fantasy in terms of the franchise. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
