Ah, good. This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and Goro's final match against Gibson Jr. was fairly exciting. Looking forward to the next episode :3

ya im disapointed hes spose to atleast passout on the field before he does that wth.. lol
and why are they acting like its the last match its a best of 7 series that was only the first game...
also they should learn the rules... not sure about japan but in major and minors your hand is considered part of the bat so its not a dead ball but a foul...

102 that is insane, even in the majors right now I've only seen 2 pitchers in the whole league reach that.

Positive: Nice pitching

Negative: Anime dudes and their man-pride...was this set in the Sengoku period? Are they all following some ancient baseball-bushido?

Good thing Goro did not passed out. And I was surprised he walked out of a game. But at least he did not finished the game and overexerted himself. It's good that he striked out Jr already. Now, waiting for Jr to go back to Japan!!!

I'm actually glad he did, if he passed out and gained some heavy burden injury. I'd literally feel rage burning. He made a smart choice.

That was shorter than I thought, but it was intense to see Goro's fastballs breaking 100mph. Looks like he might have found a weapon more powerful than the control he was aiming for. Wonder how the season is going to wrap up though. Kinda hope to see Gibson Jr. visit Honda's grave one day but of his own free will.

Ha that's what I did aswell!
Not that the 106mph had any control though, just a loose cannon.

This actually went in line with his previous actions too to be honest. He wasn't an idiot that would do everything until he was hopelessly injured, but rather would keep going until he had accomplished his goal. In this case his goal was to beat Gibsion Jr., once he accomplished that he kind of just ran out of steam.

No, YOU need to learn the rules. What you said is only applied when the batter attempted to swing. In the case where he did not swing, and the ball hit the batter outside of the strike zone, and the umpire judge that the batter could not avoid the pitch, then it is a dead ball.

I'll say it again, if the batter attempt to swing and got hit, then a strike will be called. And on rare cases when the umpire judge that the batter could've avoided the ball but made no attempt of it, then a pitch will be rules either a strike if its in the strike zone or a ball if its not in the strikezone.

Goro got hit without attempting to swing, it is clearly a dead ball and first base award. The hand IS NOT part of the bat. "hand is part of the bat" is a common misconception but it is false.

Gorou admits that he's injured and gets out of the game with his own decision...

I guess this is what you can call character development. :)

Bitch, you better take a ticket to Japan right now and go kneel in front of Honda grave!

That 100mph throw for the 100th episode was really cool. A nice use of the timeline.

I expected Ginumacchi to get out of the stade with a few bruises x)
Such an awesome bro! Goro is so well surrounded by great friends :')

Hands down the best episode of Major in this season.
Even though Goro is injured, but he accomplished his goal with strike Gibson.Jr out.
That's still the best strike out in Major for me. And I like the character's development on Goro. He doesn't push himself anymore, but voluntarily walked out and keep his best condition.
That white light makes him like a hero that have won the battle :").

Oh hey, I'm glad I didn't call foul on the injury development too early like I was tempted to. This time around it actually seemed pretty reasonable: The injury was heavy enough to affect his precise finger movements, but light enough to allow him to still pitch straight. Gorou probably wouldn't have thought to try throwing straight pitches with all his might on his own either given how much he's been practicing control.

Wow though, 102MPH is incredible even in the Majors. If the setting is even loosely consistent with the reality then Gorou is one of the best pitchers in the world, with that. He's definitely going to the Majors after this, barring some complication with his hand. It doesn't even have to be the Hornets. He could go virtually wherever he wants.

I'm glad he immediately stepped down after the balk, too. While the ending was kinda cool in its own sort of way, we don't need a repeat of season three.

More importantly, Gibson Jr. just got humbled. Woohoo.

i believe i just saw the best episode in the season, goro reaches to 105 km was the most exciting moment here, i also loved how they phrased the 'limitation" of goro wears of, but i think the goro saying that he have supernatural abilities really made the whole thing.
at the very least the anime did it again and made gibson junior more bearable as he sees goro's effort, i hope they will show him do what he promised and go like a dog to honda's grave, i really want to see it.
and from some reason i wish they could end the season here, the scene with goro's back would be the perfect scene for that.

Ginumacchi is a real bro for giving Goro the motivation he needed and also satisfying to see 'clumsy pitcher' outstrike Gibson Jr. I really like the fact that Goro actually stops pitching instead of making his injury worse by continuing like what happened in s3.
