| The post-apocalypse has never been so tanoshii~! That was such a feel-good finale, it's actually harder to do better. It hit all the right notes. They didn't ease on the subtle world-building and mystery either. Kaban is clearly a clone of Mirai, the previous Park Ranger, who left the island and might be alive somewhere. Maybe we'll meet her in S2! We might also find out why Kaban is regrowing her stockings and gloves. The fact that Kaban is moving onto a new island with new Friends reminds me a lot of Pokemon - but this show is in a lot of ways a complete antithesis of that. While Friends are based on animals too, they retain some of their original animal characteristics, whereas Pokemon ditch them almost completely. Pokemon is about forcefully catching them all and in-fighting, whereas Friends us about, well, befriending, not capturing, and learning to work together to build a better community. Only hearts are captured! |
Yeah the implication seems to be that Humans tried to nuke the Ceruleans out of existence with the entire Island after leaving, however it failed and most likely spread sandstar far further than just the island. Sandstar could have spread through entire world. |

| The animation was terrible, but the story was pretty nice at the end. The first half of this series was pretty boring in my opinion. So i'm giving this anime a 6/10. |

| This series suddenly becomes so popular, skyrocketed from 5 something to almost 8. I dropped it around episode 4 or 5 but I saw some post about this anime on Facebook which is unusual. Glad this series turned out to be a nice one. :D |
| Wow, great series. I can't believe this show had some substance other than cute anime girls. It had atmosphere, adventure, and emotion. I'm glad I ended up watching this. I only started watching this because it had a lot of hype online. Glad it ended on a good and happy note. |
| Guys I just wanna say that I noticed that Kaban's hand and leg are black since the beginning because she didn't fully "transform" into human, thus parts of her body e.g. hands and legs are black. Why I'm saying this is because I noticed that Kaban was actually black when she born from the Sandstar. Now the black on Kaban's hands and legs are becoming less probably because the Producer want to make it as a sign of Kaban becoming a more "complete" human. To make it short, Kaban's hands and legs are are black not because of glove and leggings, but because of imperfect transformation of Sandstar. And what an amazing journey, definitely 10/10, hope they will use the same OP for season 2, which could actually help them cut down production cost. |
| Best thing ever happened this season definitely AOTS, the part were the friends appear with Kemono Friends logo was badass. Fucking 10/10 A new Kemono Friends project was confirmed in their Twitter page, hopefully a sequel but an OVA or a movie(most probably) is fine too. AholePony said: I see a fucking suspension bridge in the distance! They left so much world building to be done they can go anywhere with the plot if they wanted to. Plus Kaban said "minna" at the end, we don't know how many friends are in the bus, could be all of them lol. Also the new friend talking to her with the splashes of water, dolphin friend? seals? There's so many animals in the world they can just keep adding characters. If they're smart they'll pump out the toys for kids (not nendos and figures but toys) and just rake in that sweet sweet merchandise cash that other IP only dream about. Changed the image to negative and you can see it much clearer. Saw that too, it was slowly revealing as Serval's boat approaches to Kaban's, that probably was the new "prefecture" that Boss was talking about. |

| I went into this blind and honestly I was already hooked on episode 1, I didn't know it was CGI but despite the animation being terrible I looked past it and enjoyed the simple premise and the cute, charming characters, however it turned from what I expected to be a simple CGDCT that I can wind down with into a heartwarming adventure-mystery across the ruins of a safari island, those last few episodes in particular were quite a ride. Anyway with that said I didn't realise how popular this has gotten as I haven't been keeping up with anime news and stuff lately though I'm not really surprised since the show itself is certainly a nice surprise, I really hope this gets more content with all the attention it's getting as there's a lot more they can do with it. They could take their clothes off in the bath without them regenerating because the clothes were simply removed without being destroyed. tl;dr: sandstar bs. Also @Fai when a friend is killed by a cerulean they'll revert back to animal form, but since Kabans form is human in the first place she was pretty much revived, so she's a friend after all. |

I had literally 0 expectations from this, at first I tought "ugh, a CG adaption of a dead mobage" but...did not drop it. For a kids show, this skyrocket to awesomeness. Everything was (Read with Serval's voice) "SUGOI/TANOSHI" Then Episode 11 came, conspiracy theories up to the sky. Episode 12 has a full party boss fight. It was a train of emotions. Proof that you can make a post-apocalyptic scenario and not make everything sad, radioactive and violent. _______ Really, on the conspiracy stuff. >Acuatic Friend near the coast >San Francisco-Like Brides >Mist Everywhere So...there are friends all over the world now? Is really Kaban-chan the last human on earth? If she was born from a single hair from Mirai...why she doesn't resemble Mirai? The B-29 and B-2 Bombers on the island are all rusty, the atractions are all rusty...Human structures are falling down. How many years since mankind dissapeared? Why are Bomber planes on the island? I think there was a really big Human-Cerulean war, and the humans tried to carpet-bomb Ceruleans, but previous ceruleans had Anti-Air capabilities. The war is long over, mankind is no more, the world now belongs to the Friends, and they have long forgotten how the humans looked like. A New world where there is no war, only Friends working together to survive. From the PPP Episode, we know that at least 3 generations of Penguins have passed, and the Emperor Penguin was on all of them. The Emperor Penguin lives up to 20 years. If Friends live as long as their animal counterpart, this means that maybe 50~60 years have passed since the war. But...if Friends live up to human years. This could mean that the Human-Cerulean could have been a century ago. So...we Mix Fallout, I am Legend, The island of Dr. Moreau, the color from outer space and tons of TANOSHI! |

| This show was a fine ride! in the end Serval still decided to follow Kaban-chan. And all of the Friends cooperated to save Kaban-chan and they all had a simple eating party afterwards. and simple farewell to Kaban-chan. 4/5. 6/10. |

| Damn that was something. Loved when all the friends showed up tho I have no idea how they all managed to reach at the same time considering the distance between each area but hey I am not gonna complain. I adore this anime. 9.25/10, as good as Demi-chan and that ending made me hyped as hell. Good it's gonna continue. I love so many characters gah but ye Serval it is. Kaban's development was really something. |

| Anyone noticed that there were no PPPs at the end of an episode in ep 11 (preview) I now know why. They went to save Kaban so they had no time for a preview. That part when everyone came in to save Kaban and OP started playing 10/10 Hype for season 2? |

| This is not the kind of anime I like watching but I didnt think that i will be hooked on it a little boring at first but when the anime progress more it became interesting I enjoyed it Kaban-chan and the friends adventure Hope theirs a 2nd season but it seems theirs another Kemono Friends anime project |

Glad Serval(and the other friends) decided to go after Kaban at the very end. Also, Kemono Friends remembered about the aardwolf from episode 1, and it's in its animal form.  That awkward moment when Kemono Friends has better writing than most of the other shows that aired this season. 2nd season when? |
| This ending is just perfect. The way they tie in all the various elements from previous episodes is so good. Looks like the ending is left quite open for a potential sequel. I like how the fog gradually goes away at the end revealing the bridge and mountain. Top-notch show. |

| I was about to drop this anime but I'm glad I didn't. Finally watched the last episode today and I LOVE THIS ANIME SO MUCH. Just one question, Kaban-chan used gloves but no more in this episode but her hands were black instead?? or is it just me not paying enough attention before? |

| (I wrote this before reading the posts here so there're some duplicated contents) Did anyone notice that until the last episode, voice actor of Lucky Beast and Mirai was '???' in the credit. In the last episode, Lucky Beast's voice is Mirai and Mirai's voice is Uchida Aya, the same voice as Kaban. So I after that I think a bit about these: - The old Serval was the current Serval, she shed tears after looking at Mirai's hologram - Mirai was dead? Her tattered hat was left on the ground, later the hair got exposed to the sandstar and reincarnated into Kaban? - The past events of Mirai might be around 10-20 years old, seeing that the PPP is current the 3rd generation. But might be longer if the Friends have longer livespan like normal human. - Mirai's name means future, this intrigued me - Kaban's ability to override Lucky Beast when he said that the guest must leave because it's dangerous, it's making me more certain that Kaban has something to the with Mirai(Lucky's Beast creator) I'm also wondering about Tsuchinoko, she seems to be more knowledgeable than the owls. She was also thinking why human(Kaban) was not exterminated(still alive). The new island has big bridge, this is making me wondering about the next story more. I'm also thinking about the otter who was playing on a destroyed bridge. The otter said that that place was always her playground but she never notice any path(bridge) there. The swimming jaguar was also didn't know when she was asked, 'How the Friends crossed the river in the past'. I assume that the past events happened before they were born. But we don't know what's everyone's age, so it's not a strong argument. | This was actually a way better ending than what I was expecting! Pretty lovely I must say, quite liked how this eventually developed onto this kind of ending. While the CGI was really mediocre to bad, and the pacing rather weak to way too slow, it was still somewhat enjoyable to watch! So all in all a pretty fine anime with cute characters and development. |

| Marathoned this up because people keep saying how good this is. Color me surprise, they were right! The pacing and the stories, as well as the characters were handled very well, even though they just one-off characters, and each of their personality and characteristics were brilliant. PPP and Lion episodes are my favorites. After finished watching, I realized there are like 30+ more Friends that were not featured in the anime. S2 maybe? I mean, with that open ending and positive feedback from viewers and all...? Normally I'm not a fan of full-CG show, but this series opened my eyes a bit. Good stuff. (8/10) Will this be better if its not done in full CG? Who knows. |

| I like how the hair is a representation of Mirai's feelings starting and Kaban-chan is the entity that expressed Mirai's feelings. Through Kaban-chan Mirai was able to show her love for the friends on the island. Lest we forget, Mirai. The paper plane which brings about what animals learnt from Kaban was priceless. It was reciprocated when Kaban learnt how to climb and do 'animal' like things. Basically both parties shared and lived together, humans and animals. Through the combination of friends (animal + human), animals were able to understand the creativity of humans and Kaban (representative of humans) were able to understand what it is like for animals and their thinking and behaviour. It is nice to see from the animal's point of view that penguins dancing and swimming was interpreted as an idol group like AKB. So maybe in the next island they go to, they will come across a dophin, because they dance as well and are beautiful. They will be the next idol group. Especially since they met the animal friend in the middle of the sea. Kaban-chan showed how humans are smarter and use tools and even if we might not have any special physical trait like other animals, we have intelligence and keikaku's as shown with Kaban's swift thinking to beat the Cerulean. Is it a coincidence that Mirai's name means 'future' in Japanese. I think not. Mirai's future was continued through Kaban-chan. Kaban-chan gains the ability to climb trees copying Serval's climbing technique, this is an example of her fight and flight response which allows her to gain untapped animal abilities. This shows how much of a connection she had with the friends and with Serbal. Very touching. So next time you insult a furry, take time to think... What did that guy on that MAL post say... People's lives are repetitions of actions hurting each other. It is understandable to doubt others. But being unable to trust anything is the same as being unable to sense other people's love. So don't believe in yourself, believe in me who believes in you. So surely you understand Sandstar was a motif that acts as a proxy, a connection which connects human and animal to be able to communicate better and realise their purpose in life. |

| This anime was a lovely surprise that I'm glad I was told about on twitter. The basic mystery of it all and sense of exploration was top-notch and honestly not something I've seen in a while (at least not done in this manner or very well). The hints and foreshadowing (esp. the aircraft wreckage and bombs) were right up my alley too. And it was filled with great and memorable characters to top it off. Excellent stuff. |

| Incredibly cute show, from beginning to end. I decided to pick it up to see what all the hype was about, and I'm glad I did. This was so charming and fun. Sure the visuals were a little iffy, but that's totally ok. I think it added to the charm. The character designs in this are really top notch. I love seeing all the cute Friends, meeting new Friends was always exciting. They all had fun and distinct personalities and that really improves the show overall. Admittedly, I cried a little in episode 12. Kaban's sacrifice was very brave, and I feared the worst had happened to her. I think this had very good writing for what appears to be more of a children's show. Everyone learned from one another, especially Kaban and Serval. I sincerely hope a season 2 is on the horizon as I would love to see the adventure continue and watch the mystery of what happened unfold. Kemono Friends surpassed expectations and then some. 9/10 |
