It was a good but, but am I misremembering something? I recall either Hyuga or Takao actually playing in the match for a short while, and I don't recall the 3rd quarter in this movie at all.

Yeah i was thinking about it too. I haven't read the manga so i don't know if they have played there. They were the substitutes but them and Wakamatsu haven't really played… it's a pity i would say but i loved the movie even like that.

Just a quick question. could there possible be a new series of "kuroko no basket"?
after all at end after the credits there's a little scene where we see all of the Generation of Miracles together (Akashi, Midorima, Kise, Aomine, Murasakibara) except for Kuroko, talking about going to America, and not to mention Akashi litteraly says that they will meet Kagami again as long as they play Basket.

Tho i don't think so, but it aren't so bad to hope right?

That's totally my opinion i don't have any facts or anything what i could base it on.
I believe there may be. It's a very popular series, i see new merch releasing + the manga in english is selling (i can't remember the exact word for it). So i hope it's a good start or way to think there will be something. Maybe it won't be a series but an OVA, a movie even this would be really nice. Let's believe there'll be something. But that reminds me of the new manga from the author of KnB, so then it could be something anime-only because of that? Hmm i don't know if i like that idea :s i hope the author himself will continue KnB in the future even if just little.
Ahh and i'm sorry i didn't answer your question very much and didn't tell you anything about it…

Watched 2 times in a row already. Just perfect. I read manga, yet Im a bit dissapointed, cause there was no " The only one who can beat me is ME " from Aomine. And I would love to see what whould be Midorima Zone, since he can already shoot 3P from all court ;)

Midorima won't enter the zone because the author hasn't figured out how to make electricity shoot out of his glasses without making him look funny.

Easy: when Midorima enters the Zone, he takes his glasses off. And that's the only thing, nothing else changes.

So this is what Gintama was referring when they said about the phantom member. Ahahaha... I actually can't stop laughing when Kuroko enter the scene and done nothing till the end of the game.

Kuroko really one of the rarest breed of mc type character. More like a side character in my pov. He can't be the mc right? Why is his name even in the title btw? 。゚(TヮT)゚。

I’m a fan of this series but, although this was enjoyable, it was a little bit disappointing. I mean, Kagami and Aomine were in the zone but they didn’t shine very much in comparison to the others… I was expecting more of them.

And I was surprised when I saw Kagami wasn’t a starter, but of course, one of those beasts had to be on the bench at the beginning lol
In every score, there's a feeling...

Technically Kagami is the real MC, from episode 1, Kagami was the main character they started out with.

Kuroko is basically a support to Kagami an the one that brought everyone together.

The Title "Kuroko's Basket" means just the style Kuroko wants to play in, IE: Team Play instead of one or two players dominating the court (basically the American Team here), and the old Generation of Miracles when pretty much 80% of the play was by Aomine.

And as said since the beginning of the series, Kuroko actually sucks a lot at Basketball, he can only do passes and have a loner aura (Phantom, lol) to make his passes work. And in the middle of the series we already know Kuroko's passes don't work as much anymore because he is being noticed more as he and the team plays.

Kuroko pretty much do nothing if he's being notice by players, audience and the media. He pretty much can only do his passes if no one knows about him, which is impossible at this stage.

BTW, about Kagami training for NBA, in the manga it did say he was going to America to hone his skills, but didn't say anything about going into NBA.

___ ___ ___

Also, as mentioned, Kise is the strongest, but for only a short period of time.

If Kise trained to lengthen his perfect copy and be one of the best player in Basketball History. (since he can basically be the one-man Dream Team copying all the best Basketball players in the History)

Basically what Kise lack is Stamina, if he and Aomine could fuse like in DBZ, they would be the stronger Basketball play in the universe. (also, notice that Stamina an Aomine sounds similar, giggles)

___ ___ ___

And as for 5 vs 7, make that 6 vs 7, Kuroko don't really count ;P

Another thing is, the re-gathered Generation of Miracle only played together again after 1~2 years for less than a week, so they're not very used to each other like they use to be.

Whereas the American Team been playing together for years (probably more than 3 years), which is why they could do "callouts" to each other without needing a coach.

___ ___ __

However tho... interestingly, Generation of Miracle is Japan's "Strongest" Team... while Jabberwock is simply a Street Basketball Team. If this was against the NBA Dream Team (IE: America's strongest team), they would probably wipe the floor like what Jabberwock did to the beginning Street Basketball Team.

(since we all know how Generation of Miracles are based on actual NBA players, it means those NBA players all have the same or stronger "powers" than what Generation of Miracles have, which is showned by Jabberwock having a stronger Emperor Eye)

___ ___ ___

And yea, truth is... Japan really is like Monkeys to America. Since there's still no Japanese Player that can have enough performance to be in the NBA... in fact, there has only ever been 1 person that made it to the NBA, and he was later cut out because he didn't perform as well as others.

this definitely exceeded my expectations. a movie seemed like it wouldn't be able to cover the ground that the manga did, but the execution was amazing and i was captivated the whole time. the animation was also stellar and i was continually impressed with how well everything flowed and how the more intense moves were animated.

as a personal quirk i'm definitely a little bummed that that ending scene with kiyoshi and nijimura was omitted since i enjoyed nijimura and it seemed fitting to include him in this since last game was very miracle-centric for a while.

i can't help but feel like the ending left a bad taste in my mouth though. as a stand-alone i appreciated how the ending played out with player reactions and the final kagami/kuroko scene, but i do have to wonder why they chose to deviate from the manga here. this was a considerably long series and with the trials they'd overcome together as a team and the emphasis on the light/shadow play (in addition to how the anime series concluded), it doesn't flow well to me to have kagami use this experience as a stepping stone to greatness so abruptly after one year. it has definitely been a while since i last read/watched knb, but it seemed uncharacteristic for this to have happened. in a vacuum i think it's a suitable end to a movie, but with context i'm baffled by the decision.

barring that (and acknowledging the execution of the scene otherwise), this was a nice addendum to the series. the conclusion flowed nicely and i really appreciated the miracle v seiren match and how it was left entirely up to imagination.

a solid 9/10 for me.

Way to go Kuroko for such a great pass for both Aomine and Kagami to slam it in, and in your face your face Jabberwock bastards. Too bad Kiss had to retire because of fatigue, and murasakibara because of an elbow injury caused by that stupid Silver. Oh man in this game there were many highlights considering it was a 1hr and half minutes, Nash having an eye beyond the emperor eye called the Belial eye and Akashi obtaining the same eye and surpasses it ( shounen style). Most of all Kagami leaving for America to play in the NBA, man that was a teary goodbye between him and Kuroko (now Seirin is gonna suck without him). I thought when he was coming back when he suddenly left the ticket line, but he came to say goodbye properly and thank him.

I doubt we will ever see Kuroko no Basket ever again, which brings tears to me when I think about it so 9/10.

Jabberwock has been slain by Vorpal sword, what is this Alice in Wonderland ? lols

So anyway, i'm so glad that i got to see Akashi's Emepror eye in action once more, still giving me chills everytime, too bad Akashi wasn't able to be in the zone or brought his teammates to be in the zone with him like he did with his teammates from Rakuzan. But he finally awaken the true power of Emperor eye, i was like damn That's OP af.

Kinda broke my heart to see Kagami leaving everyone and went to the US, especially Kuroko i feel like they both have special bound, like partner in crime type of thing. The bromance is strong as usual, the scene when they were crying really got me, Manly tears were shed, i really love KnB so much i want a 4th season, but i know the manga has ended, at leas i want to read another title from the author.

Overall score 8/10, KnB will be missed of course and got a special place in my heart

Look. I love and hate the film. When I read the tittle, I was really naive about the true purpose of it. I was expecting the end of Kuroko No Basket, but anything too harsh or something. I was ready to say goodbye.
So I loved how the movie has been. The animation, the match, the tension, the coordination and the return of the Generation of Miracles, it was a master piece.

But, I didn’t saw coming the last 20 minutes where Kagami said he was going back to America, I literally got frozen. This was not what I was expecting, and I started to cry when I realized what that meant. At the first goodbye I was crying of pure anger and rage, but at the second one, I cried of impotence. BTCH THEY WERE TEAM MATES, SHADOW AND LIGHT, WATDAFUCK. WHY THE HECK HAD THIS TO HAPPEN, FOR GODNESS SAKE. I MIGHT BE A FCKING PSSY FOR CRYING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS, BUT WHEN KAGAMI RAN BACK AND CRIED WHILE SAYING WHAT HE FELT TO KUROKO I BROKE INTO A BILLION PIECES. AND KUROKO ALL LIKE “yeah we will sure meet again, I trust you” BUT HOW ARE THEY SUPOSED TO MEET BACK IF KUROKO HAS NO POSIBILITIES OF JOINING IMPORTANT CLUB BECAUSE HE IS NOT A COMPLETE PLAYER. AND THE LAS PICTURE OF HIM GOING BACK TO SEIRIN ALONE, IT ABSOLUTELY SHATTERED ME.
IM SO MAD, SO SAD AND SO DISAPPOINTED. THIS SHOW HAD ME REALLY EXCITED AND HAPPY WHEN I SAW IT, BUT NOW MY MOUTH IS ALL BITTER AND MY CHEST HAS A HOLE IN IT. CONGRATULATIONS, “WHO-THE-FCK-THOUGHT-THIS-WAS-A-GOOD-IDEA”, NOW THE REST OF MY WEEK IS GOING TO BE ALL SHIT.

Finally, someone who understands! I totally do not accept this ending to the movie; in fact, in my mind it never happened at all. And that's not because I ship Kagami with Kuroko or something stupid like that (I'm not a shipper), but because this completely turns its back on everything the series did for the development of both Kagami's personality and his basketball abilities. Kagami's character development from S01 (guy who wants to become #1 on his own) --> S02 (guy who wants to become #1 for the sake of his team) --> S03 (guy who finds a way to become #1 together with his team via Direct Drive Zone) was just...shattered in a single five-minute scene? What the actual f**k? His development over the course of the series was one of my favourite things about KnB, and then they made him go off on his own again like that? Terrible.

Also, speaking quite ruthlessly, at 190cm and 82kg, even if he gets a bit taller and bigger, it's highly unlikely that they'll ever let him play PF on an American team, since there's no way he can handle an American C or PF with that size. At most he'd be allowed to be PG, but honestly Kagami's personality and abilities are completely unsuited to being PG, and he'll probably fail to make it to the starting line-up, like, ever. Also, Alex had really started to love Japanese basketball and even took Kiyoshi to America with her so she could return him to Seirin ASAP, but then she decides to take Kagami away just like that? Seirin's never going to win against any of the GoM teams without Kagami, and Kuroko's basketball career is gonna end just like that since he no longer has a strong light to his shadow. Not to mention, why does Kagami's (or any of the GoM members') goal need to be the NBA? What about the Japanese National Team? Who aims for the international stage when they haven't even been invited to their own national team yet? That sounds awfully big-headed, and once again reverts Kagami to his "I can go it on my own" S01 self. Ugh. And on a purely logical note: NBA scouts would have to be idiots to offer Kagami a position when most of the other GoM members - especially Aomine and Akashi - are obviously more skilled than him. (Don't get me wrong, Kagami is my favourite character, but ability-wise he has the most "common" power out of all of the main cast; he's nothing the NBA doesn't have already.) So even though people say "this fresh new ending creates hope for a good future for these guys," imo it completely ruined not only the future, but the past as well.

Moving on to the rest of the story: I didn't like the change in art style, the awful one-dimensional villains (how come the GoM are "all good boys really, they just needed a little push in the right direction" but the Jabberwock guys are simply assh**es with no redeeming qualities whatsoever?), or the overhype that some of the cast got while others were made to look less powerful/skilled than they were in-series.

So, taking all these into consideration, I'm subjecting Last Game to my own personal fanon discontinuity. I should have learned my lesson after that god-awful Madoka Magica finale, actually; never watch a sequel movie when the series had a good ending. Ah, well. A hard-learned lesson, I suppose! I'm gonna have to re-watch the series sometime soon to get this sour taste out of my mouth...

I love this movie!! I really do love this series, and it resonates so much with me... I was initially very hesitant to watch the movie because I didn't want to say goodbye to my precious boys, but I'm so glad I finally watched the movie. <33 This movie was emotional and beautiful. The Generation of Miracles clearly grew, seeing all of them think of the team instead of themselves, which was very heartwarming.

I was touched by Kise. I remember at the beginning of the series, he believed in Teiko’s philosophy; that winning is what matters. But to see him sacrifice himself for the sake of the team... ;_______; Truly, the old Kise wouldn't have thought of preserving a teammate's stamina (Aomine's) over his own... There were still moments that made me chuckle, like when Kuroko, Kagami, and Murasakibara insulted Aomine's passing skills, but no one praised Kise for his dunk, haha! XD

Akashi and Midorima's midair pass was one of the things I looked forward to the most! I love that even Takao acknowledged that they're the perfect duo! ^^ Akashi and Midorima are amazing; they didn't need to practice the midair pass, and haven't played together for about 2 years (except the practice Vorpal Swords did about a week before their game), yet the midair pass was done perfectly! :) I just love the undying faith between Akashi and Midorima. <33 And it was great to see that Takao was still happy, although it was understandable if he was annoyed.

It was wonderful to see Murasakibara smile when he played with his hair tied!! It was nice to see that Murasakibara finally met an opponent he didn't have to hold back on. :) And I adored that moment when Akashi told Murasakibara to listen to their coach's orders! Akashi told Murasakibara, "If you disagree, you can disobey me," and elaborated, "But right now, the Head Coach's judgement is the best decision. Besides, one person's victory or the whole team's victory. Which is more important? Didn't you already experience this before?" I love that Akashi reasoned with Murasakibara; Murasakibara doesn't blindly follow Akashi because the latter was Teiko's captain. ^^ It was such a fulfilling feeling for Akashi to mention the team's victory, which further highlights that Kuroko's message went through to his friends. :))

It made me really upset whenever Jabberwock insulted the senpais and Vorpal Swords. -_- It was truly upsetting when Kasamatsu's hand was spat on, and when the ball hit Miyaji’s face >< ... It was very nice to see that unity with the members of each of the Generation of Miracles' respective teams, cheering and watching the game! :)

I loved it when Akashi suggested Seirin to have a match against the Generation of Miracles! I would have loved to see that animated, but I know Fujimaki didn't have that part in the manga, so I see why more minutes wasn't devoted to it... x) LOL at Akashi's casual, "We should all play a little farewell match. Us, the best players of Japan, against Kagami and his team Seirin that he's been a part of. Just this one time, let's do it. Seirin vs. us, the Generation of Miracles." LOL at everyone's surprise, and then Akashi's reassuring, "It'll be alright, you're all a great team," wasn't that reassuring! XD

I have to say, I'm very happy Akashi decided to 'merge' his two identities together! :) It would be so interesting to watch future games with him like this. <33 I'd love to see games between the teams the Generation of Miracles are part of, vs. Seirin now... How would Seirin be like with Kagami gone?

The farewell at the ending is such a sad sight...but the people we encounter can truly change our lives forever. :) It's great that the Generation of Miracles will always play basketball, and Kagami will continue his passion too. I wish this story didn't end. ~ <3

I learned about the Kagami crying scene at the airport and was prepared for something really cheesy but the dialogue somehow made the scene really touching. He was crying NOT just because he couldn't bear to part with Kuroko. It was mostly because of what Kuroko showed him. He knew that he would struggle in the NBA because of how the Jabberwocks played. But he was reminded/touched/inspired by how Kuroko was able to make a difference on the court despite his size and physical weakness. Thus, he was thankful for what Kuroko showed him and acknowledged that Kuroko made him a better player.
YES!! Thank you for wording their parting so beautifully <33 I was reminded of when Kagami used to be vocal about winning by himself, and Kuroko would tell him that he couldn’t win alone, and that he was behaving no differently from the Generation of Miracles then… It was such a nostalgic experience to see the flashbacks… Kuroko truly impacted Kagami as a basketball player. ;______; I just loved it when Kuroko said, “I’ll always be there…as your shadow.” ;______;

Btw, Murasakibara didn’t have a cast in the post-credit scene… Can I assume that Mursakibara recovered? I’m now reminded of Kuroko’s angry expression when Murasakibara’s left arm was injured… >< The friendship feels get me <33 & it would be very interesting to see Aomine fulfill his dream of going to America to become an NBA player; hope he succeeds at learning English :P

It was also cute when Momoi cried when she saw Aomine and Kise together on the court… It truly has been such a long time to see the two of them get along on the same team, and here they were double-teaming… :’) I’m glad Momoi shed happy tears, not sad ones like the time she realized the boys were separating…

I just want something extra, even an image of the Generation of Miracles playing a game together again would make me happy. ;______;

The artstyle change did bother me a little and the colors were so bright I had to lower the saturation in VLC, but I totally loved the match. I only watched the KnB series last year but it already felt kinda nostalgic to see all those guys and their badass moves again, not to even mention that we finally could see all of them playing together. I liked it a lot, a solid 8/10 in my book.

Really good movie, to be honest I wondered how the match between Seirin and the Generation of Miracles played out, since they played before and implied (through Akashi) that it should be alright and judging by how they act at the end...I think it most likely was a draw.

Absolutely awful movie.

There was next to no story at all as it took merely 25 minutes in a 90 minute movie before they started playing so less than a third of the movie was used to build it up.

The entire thing was so over the top it was just downright cringey. The American Basketball players being made out to be such horrific people that one one of them just kept telling the other players to die the whole time.

Then there were all these "forms" and "power up" talks they kept coming out with. The downright silly special abilities like the "Emperor's Eye" or "Copy ability"? Ooooh he's in the Zone and he's got lighting coming from his eyes....

One schizophrenic guy started talking to himself and became one allowing him to get some new silly power up. It was like it was trying to be like Dragon Ball Z....but for a Basketball game....

The main character Kuroko having no real importance. The actual match itself being terribly paced. The cliche Jpop music shoehorned in to sell a record. The constant talking in what is supposed to be a sports match etc.

Being so completely predictable that they win by a single point with the last couple seconds....like what they constantly did time and time again in the series...

Awful, a downright silly movie.

Whoa, some serious shit happened there, I was more worried about Akashi's mental state than the actual game. Why can't we have a separate anime about just him, mere second for the goodbye conversation... that's just not right.

It was nice to see all of the miracle characters playing together but the whole Big Bad Americans thing went a bit overboard. Yeah, they are stronger, but they don't have to be douchebags as well, we didn't even see them apologising. Kinda ruins the whole point of the plot.

I wish they'd really made a movie about Last Game with Seirin and Generation of Miracles. It would have been at least a more pleasant watch.

lol the asspull is still the same as the main story, Akashi merged and gained a full powered emperor eyes immediately.

Still, this is quite entertaining to watch just for the dribble moves alone, em animations! Nash is good, but Akashi is king. Wish we get to see more of Aomine's formless shot though and made Jabberwock bend their knee to his awesomesauce. Kise was awesome in that short span of time where he dominated with both zone and perfect copy. Murasakibara is really reminding me of Shaq, extremely dominant.

Can't believe this is really over, I still remember watching this for the first time when the first season was airing years ago.. damn time flies. I wonder if the generation of Miracles will make it to the NBA.. For me, Aomine's potential is far beyond anyone from the GoM and Kagami, if he starts training again. Definitely "face of the league" potential aka MJ-lite.

That said, I wonder how tall they are.. Kagami mentioned something about his height and that got me thinking.. the GoM and Kagami are kinda short, I think?

Gotta disagree with @AK25 review because this movie IS a cashgrab, it's a fanservice chapter/movie more so than an epilogue. It spent almost the entire chapter/duration of the movie on the game where the GoM + Kagami + Kuroko team up. Even manga readers knew that this was never meant to be a "fulfilling epilogue". This is for people who want to watch the Generation of Miracles team up and play a game of bball.

One thing I love about this show is that the protagonist is not the usual dude who always got the spotlight. Kuroko is not the usual big hero who have everyone's attention, he's a main supporting character if you will. And support is critical in a team sport such as basketball. To be honest at first I didn't like how Kuroko has accepted the fact that he's a shadow lol but through all these seasons and now this movie, who I wouldn't know existed if not for Netflix btw, I've learned how important his role is and even Kagami knows this. There's this one line that stuck to me said by a forgetable character that otherwise made a vital role in helping the protagonist, this dude from the videogame Saint's Row: Gat Out of Hell, this dude said, "I have realized that I'm not a king, I'm a kingmaker" yeah prolly cheesy but it really got me about the real importance of supporting characters in the grand scheme of things.

Also, it's no secret about almost everything about basketball portrayed in this show is ridiculous fantasy, almost magic-like and shit, but what the hell it was fun so whatever.

This was nice, pretty much on par with the rest of the series. Although I do wish it had a more movie-y feel.

A little bit of a sentimentality to start off, and here you go KnB... my 7k forum post. Hard to believe almost 6 years have passed since the first time I watched this series. Undoubtedly the first season of Kuroko Basket has been one of the funnest times i've experienced in my seasonal anime watching career.

As for the movie itself. I liked it better than the manga (at least what I can remember from it). I firmly believe that Production I.G has continually bought the best out of this franchise.

Jabberwock though are horrendous. They were equally trash in the source as they are here.
Fujimaki's writing is atrocious when it comes to rivals. I know we are suppose to dislike them, but characters whose main dialogue consists of "monkey" every other line might as well not even exist. I get that Last Game was really a fanservice send off but it still grinds my gears when I think too much about it.

Out of this I enjoyed Aomine's and Kise's plays the most, I missed those two a lot. <3
A lot of cheesy moments too. Maybe embarrassingly so. That last scene with Kagami running back to Kuroko was some full-on romantic scenario that I expecting him to grab Kuroko and kiss him. Good god and I don't even ship them. Honestly I don't like anyone from Seirin at all. Except for maybe Teppei.

Goodbye magical basketball you've provided some entertainment these past few years.
I will choose to actively over-rate this a little bit in comparison to my other Kuroko entries.

No Midorima's zone. All of GoM got nerfed so bad, alone Aomine in ss2 can beat the shit out of those guy ( atleast Kise had his time to shine). I was expecting Akashi gave zone to everyone so Kuroko can have his moment, he is suck a side character in this movie ( where is vanishing drive/overflow?). 1 score close game, how surprise, i thought Jabberwock was gonna win. And now Kagami is gone, Kuroko is just a useless shadow without light. Bringing NBA into this is kinda ruin the Aomine's point tbh, if he got bored of being OP, why didn't he just join a professional team? All 5 GoMs are OP enough for NBA (Kagami can only win them because of Kuroko), cause the anime is limited to japan's highschool basketball. This anime would have been perfect if it'd had the final OVA as the ending. I refuse to have this movie as the anime's ending.

FINALLY got around to watching this movie. It did not disappoint! It was really fun seeing all of the old characters in action again. It brought back a lot of good memories. My only gripes were that I wish Team Jabberwock had more discernible abilities, or at least entered The Zone. But all in all, it was still a absolute blast to watch! 8/10 :)

It's great seeing GoM + Kagami get their time to shine. Kise's and Mukkun's were my favourite parts of course. Shame Takao didn't get to play at all.

I am not sure how to rate this movie because the basketball was a joke... The opponents were ridiculously overpowered and it didn't make sense how many things worked, more so than the anime. But eh, I will be generous and give it a 7/10 as I did enjoy this movie on the most part.

I would like to see a sequel to KNB in general, something like Major season 4/5/6 where the main character develops more in America.

I'm finally gotten around to watch everything, and this movie... THIS MOVIE!!!
Ngl I hated how stereotyped the enemy school is. But I forgave everything by the end of this movie.
I mean, WHOA. It was so amazing to see GoM working together!!!
And then there is KISE AND AOMINE combo AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously I internally screaming throughout the match!!! I'm so happy /sobs
Aomine looks 10000 times hotter????? Kise looks amazing too?!!!!!!!!!

AND THEN THERE IS KAGAMI AND AOMINE COMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy Takao is also there!!

I don't like Momoi, Midorima and Murasakibara new looks :(

Ignoring the bad translated version I watched of this (missing subs/words in subs were the main problem), this was a pretty good send-off to the franchise. AK25 mentioned in their review how it was refreshing to see the Generation of Miracles in a less antagonistic light, and I agree. It's fun to see how Teiko's teamwork has held up, even though they haven't played an official game in two years, and their playing style has changed since middle school. I wish we could have gotten more to the Jabberwocks than "WOW JAPANESE BASKETBALL SUCKS uwu," but Nash and Jason were pretty formidable opponents. The latter's characterization could have also been WAY worse, so I'm thankful it wasn't. I was very afraid.

Some of the usual power-ups didn't bother me this game, but I was confused by Akashi's Emperor Eye ability. I thought it was still in play when he didn't tap into his rigid, less confident self. Yet this wasn't the case? I don't know; it was kind of weird. At least he's grown more and can now play basketball more comfortably without worrying if he's good enough or not. That was one of the character growth highlights, along with Atsushi getting excited by playing someone stronger than him.

I was also expecting the animation to be iffy, but that wasn't the case. The character designs are a little disorienting (these are second years in high school, right?), and the only one that didn't look as good in motion was Kuroko. I think it was something with the bangs? Regardless, there was a lot of fluid movement, and it was nice to see what a movie budget allowed the animators to do. There were some really cool CGI basket swishes, for example. You can tell a lot of time and effort went into this. Seeing everyone in their school uniforms was weird after three seasons with no changed hair.

The ending was also pretty touching. I'm happy the story came full circle to what was hinted at at the beginning with Alex meeting with that recruiter. Even though Kagami's going to play in America, this gives Kuroko a perfect chance to make a name for himself on Seirin's team and in the future without Kagami being attached to him. Even though his best skill is support, Kuroko could be a much more interesting lead than he is now. You could tell Tadatoshi Fujimaki was more interested in seeing Kagami's development pan out than Kuroko's. At least Kagami acknowledged how much Kuroko's made him a better player, though. That was really sweet.

I'm going to miss Kuroko no Basuke, but I'm excited to see what other sports anime have to offer aside from this and Haikyuu. 8/10

THIS WAS SO SO SO SO SO SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

people have already expressed my feelings on how amazing this movie was and blah blah blah

I just have one thing to say.

Who the hell does midorima's hair. Whenever he was on screen I would start cringing and laughing at how funny his hair was.

What an amazing screening. A literal team of dreams. Kinda salty they didn't make use of all of the benched players though. All the Zone moments were hyped. The ending was heartbreaking, more bittersweet than the TV series' final. I really want to see more of Kuroko after this.

really great sequel movie, bit reminding though the S3 in term of story, but really holds great game and character development to end amazing series.

the story is simple, so simple i understood everything the minute is started, the GOM united to make a team to beat gang american team, what made though the difference from simple action sport movie to this is simply the fact that there's a LOT character development here, my only problem is with nash that i think he deserves mini OVA series.

the suggestion of the match at the end were pretty cliche, but the goodbye of kagami and kuroko were highly emotional i almost cried.

if something is missing me here is the good comedy from the tv series, but that won't the score since this is simply were amazing finish for amazing series, and though the story pretty resemble S3 story, the character development and good finishing the series hasn't done pay it off.

Man, talk about a downer ending. I can respect Kagami's decision to chase after the thing he loves the most, but leaving his high school team after just a year feels really bad still. This makes the score 4/5 or 7/10 personally, as I didn't care too much about what basically amounted to a no-stakes game revolving around GoM+ styling on the KnB equivalence of Ivan Drago(given it does a good job as a summer flick).

I don't understand why they were calling Kuroko and his teammates "monkeys".
My guess is because of a racial slur used against Japanese people back in history.

Oh boy, we got some annoying jerks as opponents. Not a fan of that. Akashi's threatening in English was glorious. Kise's zone was kreygasm albeit short-ended.
Akashi+Midori 3-point snipe combo reminds me of Haikyuu.
Kuroko's ball slaps never get old.
Nash waiting out on the Emperor Eye reveal until Vorpals almost caught up was lame.
Didn't dig too much this being a movie format. One match prolonged to 90 minutes felt like too much of an ebb and flow feel. There was like 10 turnaround moments.
It got quite ridiculous when it got the fight fight of the eyes but it stems from the movie format problem. What new can you bring in to a 90-min match. Kuroko MVP with the phantom steal.
Get rekt Jabbercocks. I'm glad they weren't shown mellowed and apologizing in the end. It happens too often in anime and it's bs. Trash doesn't change after all.

Was hoping to see more combinations between the Generation of Miracles + Kagami full force. Having said that, I very much enjoyed this final episode. A very fitting and fulfilling send off to one of the best sports anime series.

Hey!! Now I’m depressed.

Kuroko no Basket started with Kagami's arrival from America and ended with Kagami's departure to America. Who the hell is cutting onions??

They should all go pro and compete at the international level. I don’t know who that works 😭. I’ll miss them. The movie was extremely good.

Bro this movie was so american lol. That provocation, that trash talk.

Nonetheless 90 minutes full of hype. That long overdue Kise's zone, two emperor eyes in the play and then that finish of Kagami and Aomime assisted by Kuroko. So good to see everyone getting the shine.

Everything coming into circle in the end, and most specifically that Kagami and Kuroko convo made things super emotional. These characters were the best part of the series and witnessing those bittersweet interactions kinda making me miss this series already.

i liked the premise but it felt kinda rushed tbh and lowkey poorly executed but i know the manga was like 10 chapters so it can't be helped ig. i really loved the franchise but i think it should've stopped at the episode 75.5 birthday present special. that was the perfect ending. this was alright too but i didn't get wowed or anything and the ending didn't really impact me the way 75.5 did. that being said, generation of miracles worked together and i'm all for it and decent animation. overall 7/10.
