OMG i read the whole manga series and LOVED IT!!! i really hope this is gonna turn out as good as that and it probably will ^^ i love Ichigo she get so nervous X3 and it was so cool how she fell off the building and landed on her feet! AHAHA and when she grabbed the fish with her mouth X'D omg her date was so cute and i cant believe she fell asleep 4 3 hours XD oh and the vending machine almost fell on him haha also it was amazing how he caught her... but howd she end up in his arms? like i mean when she tripped on the branch... anyway this was an AMAZING epi!!! i can wait 2 see more!!! X}

Hm, I was pleasantly surprised by the first episode. It seems like a typical mahou shoujo anime, but at least the premise is unique. I thought she accepted her "powers" rather quickly, though... And the guy she likes kind of bothers me. Those super-smiley types always do. XD And hopefully she doesn't stick with the habit of adding "nya" to the end of all of her sentences?!

I'll keep watching for now, since the first episode was pretty decent and entertaining~.

Great episode. However I'm currently watching the dub since it's better for me to understand and I know they changed the story a little but I'm sure it'll still be great! Zoey/ichigo is pretty cute!

Here I am dusting off the anime I enjoyed when I was a little boy.
God I am realizing just now how I loved to the extreme only shoujo animes.
This was fun, btw, and Ichigo is so cute. The nostalgia feeling I had watching this gave it a sweeter taste.

Don't have much to add other than god this show is so adorable I almost teared up from how good this show makes me feel. Looks kind of ugly but that adds a certain charm to it.

Loved the first episode and how she received her powers. Makes me think this anime is way unique-r than the precure franchises I've watched.

Watched this when I was in 3rd grade. Still love it. I love this anime it's so unique in its own way. Someone mentioned the anime was kind of ugly. Although many popular anime these days aren't even drawn "beautifuly". For instance one punch, ect. All animes have thier own drawn style, because obvi. they were all drawn by different illustraters. That's what I love. Slayedddd.

It wasn't a bad episode, but I feel as if it was a good introduction to the show. Personally, I feel as if Ichigo becoming a magical girl could have been a little earlier in the episode as a pose to right at the end. Other than that it was a somewhat good episode with Ichigo going on a date with her love interest, as well as being introduced to the school and how popular her love interest is

Nope. Not a good first impression. Watching this and New both for the first time (Only ever got exposed to a limited amount of 4Kids dubs, so just One Piece, Sonic X, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kirby: Right Back At Ya!, and... uh, that's it, so I've got no childhood attachment to this anime), going one episode at a time, one old episode followed by one new episode. I somehow have nothing good to say about this episode, at all. I guess it had visuals that weren't below average, but the humor... blegh... and blond hair blue eyed dude is too damn touchy-feelie, and the other guy ain't any better. I get the feeling that this ain't gonna jive with me like other maho shojo anime like Ojamajo Doremi and Hime-chan no Ribbon. One more ep, and I'll decide whether I drop this or not.

Alright I did say I would check out a bit more of the Magical Girl variety, so far the first episode is surprisingly good not brilliant but good. We are introduced to our main character of Ichigo, not to be confused with the Bleach character of the same name and also her love interest I guess as they go on a date. Premise seems unique enough I'll watch more to see if it'll hold my attention. Otherwise not much to say it was decent and entertaining but it hasn't won me over yet.

I'm watching the 4kids dub first, I really love this so far, never had experience with the show but it's so fun and cute, I wish all of the episodes got dubbed T_T

Love can sometimes be magic. But magic can sometimes...just be an illusion...

My favorite show of all time is Tokyo Mew Mew and I have enough passion for the series that I decided I would review every episode of the original anime, the reboot anime, and the butchered 4Kids dub (which is admittedly a guilty pleasure of mine). There won't be a set schedule for this. I will do them whenever I feel like doing them. I'll be on vacation for a few days this weekend, so it will probably take another week or more for the episode 2 review

I adore this episode. I'm pretty sure I love every Tokyo Mew Mew episode though. I love how happy Ichigo is with the boy she loves, Aoyama. There are so many scenes I love in this, like when Ichigo is making sure she looks good for her date. I love how cute Ichigo acts as well. I love how bubbly she acts. She's also somewhat of a crybaby, while I relate to since I'm a crybaby myself

I love how this episode sets up the whole show. Aoyama is such a sweetheart as he offered to get juice. However, at that moment an earthquake happened and Ichigo is affected by a light. Now Ichigo has cat traits and it leads to some really cute moments like her being attracted to fish, her falling from a long distance and landing on her feet, her sleeping, saying nya, and being able to predict the weather. They were both adorable and a way of showcasing Ichigo having cat traits now

I also love how Aoyama has a passion for nature. While Ichigo has a passion for nature in the reboot, she isn't really that passionate about nature in the original. I love how Aoyama deeply cares for the environment. While it is revealed that there is something dark within Aoyama, early on, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with him, which I find interesting

I love seeing seeing Aoyama and Ichigo going to an endangered animals exhibit. This series has helped me want to learn more about endangered animals, the environment, and nature ever since I got into it in late 2022. I plan to look more into the environment and endangered animals soon

Whenever there is background music, I love it. I especially love whenever the background music is emotional or sad because I think to myself "I love this show" and start to happily tear up. I should probably mention that I love the romance between Ichigo and Aoyama. It's such a healthy and wholesome relationship

Something I also love is how the series has the girls (In this episode, it's only Ichigo) battle chimera anima and when the chimera anima is defeated, it turns back into what it was before. The aliens use these blob-shaped jellyfish-like parasites called para paras to merge with an animal or human forming a chimera anima

I usually am really sensitive to violence in shows, but Tokyo Mew Mew is an exception. I think it's because I'm distracted by the cuteness and also because when Ichigo uses her strawberry bell to defeat the monster, there's a lot of sparkles and pretty lights and the monster basically disappears with the monster reverting back

I also love this series as a whole because the main character has cat DNA and is a catgirl and the show is about protecting the environment, which includes helping animals. I love animals and cats are my favorite animals

I love that Ichigo's weapon is a strawberry bell. It's so adorable! Honestly there's so many things in this series that are adorable honestly. I love how strong Ichigo was against the first monster, the rat monster. One thing I love about this series is how Ichigo is able to still be really adorable and cutesy, while being strong at the same time. This feels inspirational to me because I often feel really weak because I feel too soft, so this show (as well as series like Wonderful Precure) feel reassuring to me. I love transformation scenes in magical girls because they feel really calm and nice and Ichigo's is one of the many transformations I love. I love her strawberry bell attack footage as well. It's very beautiful and calming

I love how at one point in the episode, Ichigo loves the look of the cafe because of how cute it looks and she mentions she would love to go there with Aoyama. Ichigo would be working at the cafe starting in the next episode

I love everything about this episode. I might talk more about the episode, but I'm not sure. It's my favorite first episode of any show along with the first episode of Tokyo Mew Mew New. I love how colorful this show looks and how adorable it is
