Sorry for the clickbait title and don't get me wrong, I love me some happy endings but this ending felt too much like a copout.

Now, I really enjoyed the movie and I loved the original series and gave it a solid 9 or 10. Also the movie's pacing was good and it hit all the right beats and emotions for me until the end. But as mentioned in the title, I hate the ending.

End of rant. But all in all I still really enjoyed the emotional journey the characters brought me along but in the end for me, the most memorable part of anything I watch is the end and it is what I end up thinking about the most.
