Another intense chapter. I'm proud of Trish and how much she's grown at this point.

When I first saw this scene, I thought that the Requiem Arrow phasing through King Crimson was because of him not being worthy but it was actually Bruno who was responsible for turning him intangible. We could've had a King Crimson Requiem if he didn't think of completely destroying the soul sphere, wow.

Bruno saved everyone including Trish but it looks like his time is up. Rest in peace, Gang-star...

If only Giorno uttered the phrase: "This golden wind…" instead of "this wind…" we could have gotten a real name drop! JoJo has constantly ventured into the afterlife more and more, so seeing the spiral of souls leaving and entering bodies is pretty cool. And thanks to Buccelati's suicide mission, we've held things together for a moment longer.

I've always liked the idea that we are dead if we are not living true to ourselves. One of my favorite dialogue in manga is from the Fukukoto series Ten: "Did I die? While I'm alive… I'm half dead, or at least not fully alive. I never noticed! I was so busy that I never knew I lost sight of it."

Buccelati having drawn on that kind of language by saying Giorno revived him the first time they met, it made me think of him in a different light. It made me draw a connection between Buccelati and Abbacchio. Both of these men had a strong sense of justice before realizing that the system that they believed in was broken. Buccelati was a protector of others from his childhood but the justice he was seeking in the gang had actually been what killed his father in the first place. It was meeting Giorno which offered him another path to usher in the justice that he believed in, and he was even hesitant about the alliance in the beginning.

Despite death being brutal in part five, this one feels sweet. Abbacchio wasn't ready to die, and he had only just reignited his spirit. It wasn't awful but there was a feeling that it had come too early. When it comes to Narancia, we didn't get any sense of closure, it was bleak, although I'm sure you could read into it more than I have. Buccelati however, was ready to die. We heard it straight from his mouth during Oasis and Green Day. He found happiness in reigniting and dying for his dream alongside Giorno.
