ok, i just wanted to know this.

i am a person who enjoys anime a lot more than manga. and i know for a fact that the kindom manga is better. my question is how better is it?

let's change that. is the animation the only problem. like how good are the directing, voce acting, music and pacing?

is the manga still worth reading over the anime if i normally don't enjoy manga as much as anime? it's not that i hate manga, but i get much more invested when it's an anime. specially if it has a good english dub.

edit: i haven't started the series, like, at all, maybe i should have posted this on season one. i wanted to know what is the best way to start the series.

First of all the subtitles in anime contains name in Chinese whereas in manga it is japanese . So if you switch to manga it is confusing . Next the manga is way ahead of anime with currently 20 + arcs while anime is at 11th arc . The current arc is ending in 3 episodes and you have to wait for next season to further get into the story . The anime is currently at chapter 350 and manga at 692 which is way ahead . You can also wait for anime if you want . The thing about anime is waiting time for next season , pacing issue , names in Chinese and cutting some minor though important scenes or minor arcs .

I'm the same as you. Never really been into reading manga. I recently learned that Kingdom only trailed Demon Slayer in sales in Japan, so that should tell you something of the caliber of the manga.

Sadly, there isn't an English translated physical manga yet, which is what I've been waiting for. Reading it on a tablet just isn't the same.

Also, I really like that the anime used their Chinese names. Wish the manga did as well. Feels more respectful, especially when it comes to the historical figures.

You don't need to read the manga. There might be only one arc that you missed. It was related to Kyokai, she came to attack the king as an assassin and ended up joining Shin. There is a whole arc from chapters 82-96. Just read that. In anime. I find moments more hyped because of sound and music.

The acting is great quality from season 1 you have Ouki, Ten(not too bad), Bihei is funny. The introduction of new characters whose voice acting is just as good in season 2. In season 3 anime quality has improved immensely, where some of the scenes are even better than I expected. Music is also great, season 2 op is fantastic, for season 3 I appload the director especially for the music in one of the episodes.

I won't lie, animation in season 1, especially the first few episodes were so horrible I would have dropped the anime if it wasn't for the ratings here and the fights were just terrible. BUT the story was just so worth the endurance, and season 3 is much better and enjoyable.

Maybe you'll also want to read the manga after watching anime and you'll see how great it is. Whatever you do, I think it's better to soldier through anime first and then read manga cz manga is just amazing and season 1 and 2 don't do it justice.

You should definitely read the manga. Especially from the beginning if you wanna read the chapters anime skipped.

Drawing is so-so at the beginning but it definitely gets better and better. There are some bonus mini chapters you could enjoy. Most importantly it's manga, the manga, there is no censorship, heads fly, bodies get torn apart.

I mean just look at this. There is not even blood.
