Satone is an unnecessary character, a low point of this season

totally unnecessary and was a setback for this season and what should be done was to develop Rikka and Yuuta's relationship in a more objective way.

just one character to create an annoying, frustrating and idiotic conflict, i'm thinking about giving up this anime because of this narrative stupidity, unfortunately because i enjoyed s1.

Looks like you felt exactly like you were supposed to, but didn’t like it. Here for validation? Nah. I’d rather talk about how outstandingly Deko and Shinka, and their relationship, were developed but not force fed to us. Outstanding show and this season went above and beyond. Bravo.

Idk if I would say “unnecessary”
Were there times where she was in scenes and served as either a cockblock or an added annoyance? Absolutely.
But I think her presence was necessary for the story to conclude. Her presence helped remind Yuuta to be okay with the chuunibyou side again, and more importantly helped Rikka understand the balance between staying a kid and growing up.
I think they could have written up her character differently for sure, at least in a way that wasn’t just throwing another nut job into poor Yuuta’s life, but for the purpose she served? Definitely needed.

While she was indeed not a big impact on the story, I liked her small arc.

I liked her reasons for her actions and she was the one who gave Rikka the courage to confess.

it's been a while since i've seen the series, but i believe the role satone played in the show could not have been filled by any other character. a new character was absolutely needed to give that little push it the right direction for rikka and yuuta, since none of the other characters could really fill that position.

also satone #1 and i'm totally not biased

This is exactly what was going through my mind while watching this. No development, nothing and to do exactly the same lame jokes like in the 1st season. I couldnt enjoy it unfortunately

I thought the same thing when I was watching this season, but now I understand her purpose. She was really annoying and made the 2nd season less enjoyable for me, yeah, but in the end it was kind of necessary. She's not a pointless character at all.
