First of all, I would like to say I am not, in any way, attacking this show. I think it's good, but not in any way do I think it deserves anything above 7.6 per this site's standards.

The storyline is actually interesting, not gonna lie, but the pacing is way too fast, and it has been that way since the first episode. The sounds and voice acting are still amazing. But, perhaps the most important part of the season (Yugiri's arc) was pretty boring to me. It answered a lot of questions though, but I couldn't symphatize nor connect with any of the characters. The manager is still screaming around nonsense without much character depth himself, but he did get developed a bit (I personally wouldn't say his character depth is well executed).

I just feel like this season could have been so much more, and I just feel disappointed in the overall execution.

So I'm just curious on why it's rated above an 8. What's so good about this season? Once again, not in any way am I attacking the show, I just want to know what other people think of it and why it's rated that high.

The reason Zombieland Saga is so loved is because of the characters. From Kotaro to each of the girls they have a backstory and development that make you fall in love with them. In addition to Fracchochou making very good songs that express their feelings quite well. The plot is pretty simple but it's just an excuse so we can see each girl shine. Maybe you didn't like the characters so much and it can be understood; it is quite a subjective factor.

I personally really liked the characters, and the music was great, it stands out as much more unique than other idol shows to me, I really wasn't a fan of love live, but I am a bit surprised how high its rated, personally I think it deserves it though.

that’s easy to answer: because a lot of people already liked s1 they rated the next season high too and also almost all the people who didn’t like season 1 aren’t watching this season.
it’s not even a story thing it’s just the season was as good as season 1 but it’s just people who didnt like s1 didnt watch s2. thats why the score is above 8. almost always sequels get higher score because of that.

Where to even begin? The story was good, and each character had their time to be in the spotlight. The dancing looks a lot better. Overall, this season did well because it had massive improvements from the first season. They even announced a movie at the end. It's just a good sequel anime that many have problems with getting right.

I was expecting better story pacing as well as more depth to the manager, Yugiri, and Tae. I just feel like the execution for the manager's depth was bad and Yugiri's arc could have been so much more. We still don't know anything about Tae, but I think that can be excused if they do some big reveal in the movie.

It's because a lot of people love the series. Even if an anime flop in some aspects people who like and enjoyed watching the show will rate it high.

it's the same with other animes as well. 😑😑

Because the story is interesting and hilarious, the cast are so talented in singing, I listened to every of the album for 24/7 during the airing until now and the characters are likeable.

The 2nd song (around 3:37) made me teared up ;) 1st and 3rd are also an emotional ride and it feels nostalgic
