Why the new dub cast?

I watched a bit of this and was a bit off-put by the new dub cast. That's not to say it was bad; I recognize a lot of the names and they're all pretty competent. It's just that as with any change, it's a bit of a shock. So, I was wondering if there was a reason for it.

Additionally, might this reason be a part of why season 2 wasn't dubbed? I know Funimation did season 1 and Netflix did this (season 3), so does anyone know what the reason might be for skipping season 2?

Also, before anyone comes in with "jUsT wAtCh ThE sUb," the show is much funnier in English to me as a native speaker. Saiki is an incredibly fast paced show, so even though I can read fast, it's still a lot to keep up with. Please understand and respect my preference.

yeah I had noticed the exact same things. I've been hoping that the second season gets dubbed by Netflix but I guess we'll just have to see, it seems odd to find a cast just for those 6 episodes

The original dub cast works with Funimation and when Netflix bought the show the rest of it didn’t have English actors.
Then they started a new one (this) because the old show had great reviews.
