| So, two thoughts must be running through your head. Either, "What the heck is she squabbling on about?" or, for those who have actually read the books in hatred, "How is that possible?". Well, first of all, I would like to thank a certain Twilight parody on YouTube for this theory. I mean, even before I saw the light on how bad Twilight is, I found this parody hilarious. If I find it again, I'll be sure to link if you guys haven't already seen it. Anyways, have any of us actually thought, through all this Bella x Edward hogwash, that Edward Cullen might possibly, even the slightest bit . . . be gay? Allow me to explain. So in Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, Edward has shown a bit too much resistance in regards to Bella. Sure. The books say that he shows this resistance because 'he cares about her, doesn't want to suck her blood because she so tasty, bla bla bla', which I think is hogwash anyway. I'm not sure of how much vampire x human movies I remember, but I'm positive in those relationships, vampires can't resist blood for THAT FACKING LONG, even if they fell in love with a mortal being. Then, Edward resists having sex with Bella. RESISTS. Okay, in all seriousness, unless the girl was perceived 'fugly' in a guy's eyes, according the novels I have read, I'm not sure guys in their insane mind would refuse sex. Straight guys, I might add. (And I'm also adding the fact that I only speak on behalf on the novels I have read, NOT real life.) However, Edward's sort of 'chicken' when it comes to the idea. The only thing that messes with this theory, though, is his deal with Bella in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. "Fine. I'll turn you into a vampire, but you have to marry me first." I'll have to find a way to overturn this statement. But, then, even after they get married, Edward refuses sex with Bella. Huh. Refuses? Even when he finds her the most beautiful and delicious thing on the planet? Which leads me to believe Edward's gay. Not 100%, since he fell in love with Bella, but slightly. Or bipolar, maybe. Any thoughts about this? |
