If you're enjoying it so far, open all reviews and upvote better reviews, most people never read more than top 4 reviews, don't let them get burried below crybabies.

Personally, I dropped Overlord S1 around halfway through, it was incredibly boring and there was almost zero plot development. This for me, feels a lot better, I like the MC being a "nice guy", it's simple fun.

I enjoyed overload too

but my problem with overload is not that he is a bad guy..

and not even that he doesn't have some valid reason to be bad..
i can accept ainz to be the badass evil no shits given guy but from S2 to S4 some of story feels useless
like the lizard story .. the story was great but ainz could obtained it way easily with his powers

i dont care about reviews to be honest i care about shows which gonna give me a good time and be worth the 20 minutes i spent watching them(ik its 24 but i dont count the 2m opening and 2m ending)

what i will say about reviews is that it does give you a good idea if there will be another show or not because but what actually matters is the review and sales it gets in japan/china if that anime was chinese one like kings avatar which sold so much they made a season 2 and 3 is in the making officialy i sont have any idea what reviews this anime/manga got exept the reviews we got in myanimelist but id imagine this anime prob wont have a season 2 sadly

i liked overlord but im the same with u, he has no reason what so ever to just kill random people he just does it because he feels no guilt killing humans^-^ and albedo demiurgs(probably butchered his name) said he wanna rule the world or some shit i dunno honestly the story is just retarded in that one

Also
It's has great characters arnd lore but they aren't expanded enough.

For example
They teased some ice dragons and a old guy or something who was from real world or something like that

But that was never shown again

I personnaly don't care of the reviews, just to me the hero being a skeleton looked funny so this is why I'm watching it since the beginning
I don't like to be biased by other people's opinion especially on MAL where a lot of seasonals always go in the first places of best anime rankings lol

And I never watched Overlord lmao I'm currently not interested

Overlord got better in later episodes, you should see the action till the very end

I don't check reviews. mainly cause there's two types of people that leave reviews: people who hated it and people who loved it. I check for the average score and the spread of the scores. if I see a large majority people giving a score I know what to expect going into it.

The villains are garbage but the political elements MIGHT save this show depending upon how they're handled. So far, its not as good as the 1st season of Overlord.

bro I feel you for the overlord no plot development, it's been 3 seasons and it just started to development somethings with the actual overlord part, but it was still more entertaining than this imo. now, you really can't compare the 2 shows since they both are doing different things, this show is much more light and fluffy and is easier to watch, but quality wise overlord trumps this show. I personally don't really care about this show, im watching it but I will probably forget it after a month it ended.
now onto your other part, im going to be real with you, i have never based my opinion of a show off of the reviews, nor do i know anyone who has made a decision on a show based off mal reviews, if anything the score would be what people would look at first. I think 7.3 is a bit too high for what essentially is normal generic isekai with average animation but with a skeleton mc. this and demon lord reincarnated deserve the same rating whereas the superior isekai this season executioner deserves a much higher score.

Nah even though I enjoy it is pretty boring. The demihuman slavery angle they're going on here is unique enough but feels a little stale with every single race being sexually assaulted to give Arc a reason to kill the baddies.
Having Arc being a skeleton is kind of dumb considering he can eat and drink and do pretty much everything a normal human can do 10x better. It's more of a gimmick than an actual plot device.
That being said it is refreshing to have a main character that's not super generic and a plot-line that's at least a little divergent from other isekai shows.

In terms of Overlord the adaptations were eh. I liked them but the novels are 10x better, especially with the latest arcs. Season 4 should be fantastic if paced well and may be the best season of Overlord yet.

I'm enjoying myself and think it's good as for overlord I say try giving it another shot I can agree there are some boring parts I'm season 1 but I enjoy season two and three more but that's just my taste

I am enjoying this anime! Sure the premise is not so original, BUT I like the MC and the art and animation is decent someimtes above average. a solid 8/10 for me.
