That was quite nice! Yuri x mecha for the win! Got some early Shinkai vibes from this. There's more on the author's youtube channel, though unsubbed.

The subtitles are absolutely unreadable, they just flash in the screen for a fraction of a second and disappear

abyss_will said: The subtitles were made for the first version that was voiced by the creator themselves, and then reused as is afterwards for the second version with professional VAs (which was originally made for indie cinema release, not for YouTube) - unfortunately said reuse was done without my involvement and so the timings are completely off (the lengths of the phrases are all different now) and all of the typesetting was completely erased and the signs are also glitching out now.The subtitles are absolutely unreadable, they just flash in the screen for a fraction of a second and disappear If I get an opportunity, I will try to offer a timing/typesetting fix to the creator, I still have the original files. |

Not bad at all. Sure, the animation is pretty rough but there's a solid idea here that you could build on with a budget. I would definitely be interested in seeing the second one.

It's unfortunate the subs are so fast because It kinda ruins it to have to pause rewind everytimes you have a long sentence.

Nah, the subtitles are still broken. At this point I doubt they will ever be updated on the actual video, so I suggest using some extension that loads subtitles (or, well, yt-dlp), and one of these subtitle files: Original .ass version: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SltYxZmcYRPbim7LAQXIpVoGBKs4UFQT/view?usp=sharing YouTube native format .ytt conversion (a .vtt with bells and whistles): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SSHtAeKCrf97nMIrzREZSgncunA8vnFy/view?usp=drive_link These files are what subtitles were supposed to look like. This is how they were displayed in the original AsH-voiced version, except retimed to fit the updated VA-voiced version. Shame that things got broken with the new version, but it was my fault for trying to make the subtitles look nice with some trickery (so they have signs and anime subtitle-like formatting) and not explaining properly that things will get utterly broken if you try to edit them in the extremely limited YouTube Studio editor.
