| That wraps up the first volume of this one. Seems like the more the story progresses, the more Takeichi's face seems to pop up in the story. Not to mention the callback with the earpick and the ash tray. Were this a more typical Junji Ito story, Takeichi might've turned into a eldritch horror by now that replicates itself and invades every corner of Yozo's life. It feels like you can still see Junji Ito's signature style being adapted into the story, even if more subtle for once. |
