| I've seen a couple of idol anime shows (B-project, Argonavis, Idolish7 and Utapri), but Hypnosis Mic gives completely different vibes from these. In the four idol shows mentioned above, the anime focusses a lot on composing, writing and creating music for their fans (some also with acting jobs) like real life idols do. Whereas in HypMic, the focus lies on people from different divisions using their rap skills to battle their rivals and/or evil-doers/criminals/etc. Their mics are like "weapons" which can have huge effects on their opponents when hit (read what they do in the anime's synopsis~ ;3). And in HypMic there are some cool-looking special effects too, which I haven't seen much in any idol anime. |
