| Even though technology isn't up to modern standards, it's great to see tools being used to hold back monsters in the show. I love how much risk the cast takes in trying to accomplish their goals, no matter how far. Unfortunately, this episode isn't also without tragedy outside the battlefield... |

| 9:27 These are special versions of kanji for numbers used in legal documents. 壹 = 一 (one), 貳 = 二 (two), 參 = 三 (three). They exist because regular numbers are too easy to fake (like add a line in the middle of 二 and it becomes 三). Though the characters used for one and two are absolute, the ones currently in use are 壱 (one), 弐 (two). There are document versions of other numbers too and they exist in Chinese as well. Oh, I remember that the spiders use a special bug to make medicine or something that makes them not burn when exposed to natural fire. There are quite a lot of things I don't remember, but this was still interesting. Poor Kira :( |

| I like how Koushi was honest with Kun. Kun be like "Yeah I know her but, oh well." Touko just going with the flow, while the plot keep going. And I don't blame her for barely talking. |

| It doesn't seem like the world-without-fire of the show has improved things much from our current world-with-fire. I'm gonna side with the Spiders on this one, the new fireless society isn't worth the sacrifice. |

| Koushi successfully activated the cannon, and the spiders are entering the capital. Their mission is to bring back the fire and defeat the gods. However, the most important development is that Kira is kidnapped by the gods who were posing as humans. Now, she will become the vessel for the flickering flame, and Hinako is revealed to be a new type of Unamo that doesn't require the flame. |

| While I think I get the jist of the story for the most part it seems like the humans are caught in the middle between the battle between the gods and the spiders, with the spiders wanting to bring back natural flame. But with the humans fighting the spiders I believe that the reason is to save human lives as the price to get natural flame is the cost of a bunch of human lives (I think). Anyway, Kira has been kidnapped to act as a vessel for the flickering flame, I wonder if she'll meet up with Akira since she's on a separate mission to appeal to the lead god. |
| Koushi got literally quite the warning from Hibari not to take the Flickering Flame, as Touko seeks recluse with other workers against the spiders. Against all odds, Koushi and Kun will reengage the machine to fire the lighting cannon, which they almost get struck by the spider, whom Kun recognizes as its sibling On. Being part of the Fire Clan, it's no wonder the spiders are attracted to fire, which they want to instigate and reclaim the fire again. Even in the Okibi family, Kira feels indicted that she left Koushi and Kanata back at the factory, but only to meet the fate of becoming the sacrifice for the Lady Goddess of the Flickering Flame by Kouhachi. The Okibis have been chosen by the gods, and there's no turning back. |

| The conditions in the city are extremely pathetic. The last part with the mother is kinda funny. Even more funny how she is off model in every frame. |
