'The Fable' Unveils Additional Cast, Second Teaser Promo

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Katsuhisa Minami's The Fable manga revealed additional cast and a second promotional video on Monday. The anime is scheduled to air for two consecutive cours starting April 7 at 12:55 a.m. on NTV. Disney+ will be exclusively streaming the anime worldwide.

Hiroshi Hamada: Kouji Ishii (91 Days)
Ryou Kuroshio: Ryouta Iwasaki (Yuzuki-san Chi no Yonkyoudai.)
Katsuya Takahashi: Yudai Mino (Edens Zero)
Souichi Sunagawa: Koujirou Takahashi
Matsu: Kiyomitsu Mizuuchi (Ergo Proxy)
Kenjirou Takada: Takeharu Onishi (Kekkaishi)
Etsuji Kainuma: Takumi Asahina (Boku no Hero Academia 3rd Season)
Master: Kazuya Ichijou (Fairy Tail)
Yuuki Kawai: Yuuki Kaji (Shingeki no Kyojin)

Ryousuke Takahashi (Gasaraki) is directing the anime at Tezuka Productions. Yuuya Takashima is handling the series composition as well as penning the script with Mayumi Morita (Kanojo mo Kanojo). Kyuuma Ooshita (Top Secret: The Revelation) and Saki Hasegawa (Ao Ashi) are designing the characters.

Minami serialized the action comedy manga in Weekly Young Magazine from November 2014 to November 2019. A manga sequel began in July 2021 in the same magazine. Kodansha shipped the ninth and final volume last November.

Kodansha USA licensed the original manga series in English in March 2022 and released the 22nd and final volume on January 9.

I wonder how many manga chapters they will adapt. Hope for at least half of the manga to be adapted, it is pretty possible.

@RobertBobert, 120 chapters into 24-26 episodes, 5 chapters per one episode.

@Memore 5 chapters per episode is not bad since they manga has very short chapters with little dialogue

@FreakyGhast, more so, I hope that they adapt half of the manga if it is possible without cutting important content.
