| Good episode. Zhang joins the campaign for the Korean War where Chinese Voluntary army aids the North Koreans to fight against the US aggression into Korean Peninsula's north most region. I know that this is a docudrama style anime but it's interesting how they tell their perspective and although the historic documentation says otherwise, fiction is fiction and fact is fact. Zhang is found out to be Japanese and can't join the Volunteers army because of political friction but that was the excuse they used to discharge him. In reality his mother passed away and she expressed denial about being Chinese on her deathbed. Zhang is allowed to go back to Japan, Red Cross have allocated his safe return. Despite being very shallow and biased this story has been an enjoyable one with so much information condensed into a short series. Wished they released more of this historic style plot from war heroes. |
